I saw Beyonce in DC. I haven't been to many concerts before, but her concert was absolutely flawless. Just from start to finish, perfection. She's amazing 😩🫶
I work at a theme park, no boo necklaces are a thing. The scare actors are instructed to avoid direct scaring people wearing them. It's basically a glow necklace.
That's such a good idea, honestly. I hate being jumpscared. But I don't mind walking through creepy areas. Lol.
Cailyn was such a fun guest, would love to see her here again!

Loved the mention on seeing shows by yourself ~ I went to see Lewberger alone and I wouldn’t change a thing about it! That was an experience that I couldn’t wait to have, the atmosphere at shows once they start make the other people there 🎶 completely interchangeable 🎶
I've gone to loads of festivals and shows by myself. I love camping with large groups as well, but when you only have to answer to yourself when it comes to what you do for the day, it is a totally different vibe and still a great time. You typically meet a lot more new people that way as well, I've found.
Kaylin!!! You need to get into special fx makeup - that's how you meet all the horror cuties. I worked haunted houses doing makeup and prosthetics for so many Halloween seasons and it was a blast. When I was single, nothing was more fun than flirting with the person in my makeup chair. 😅

also I agree w going to concerts alone is no big deal! I used to go to maybe 3 a week back in high school and for a few years after, it was always so fun and you make so many friends! And sneaking into meet and greets...been there and they def never cared LOL it was always so easy!

If anyone reads this who wants to get into horror I definitely recommend: the dead meat channel and podcast, JaymeetsWorld Alanda Parker, Ashleigh Burton, she’s scared. These are some of my favorite horror content creators. All do horror movie reactions except for James of Deadmeat. He does kill counts. All of these creators are super fun if any of you want to watch more horror, there are people who find it easier to watch when someone else is watching and you don’t get all the scares.❤❤❤❤

Let’s be honest for a minute: it is not Pennywise that is sexy. It is Tim Curry. Tim Curry can make any character ooze sex. Pennywise, Darkness in Legend, the Butler in Clue, obvs Dr. Frank-N-Furter in RHPS, Hexxus in FernGulley whom literally oozed. Tim Curry even made Nigel Thornberry sexy. That man is a God and any of the characters he play can take me behind a dumpster.

At least the try guys acknowledge when stuff is up and tell us “we can’t give you much info but all is well and this is who and what you can expect from the pod for the next month”. I feel so bad for poor Maggie & Matt who were left to pick up the pieces of this and don’t seem all that comfortable either…

And Eugene is BARELY part of the TryGuys anymore- we see Matt more than we actually see him. It’s fine if they’re all just living their lives and doing different endeavors, but this podcast feels forced now. If they can’t sustain a reliable podcast crew AND won’t even provide any context for any of it, then why even bother?

I stopped listening but I mean I watched the thumbnail and Beyonce made me click 😂 but I agree with your feeling that the pods are not like they used to
This ep had potential but I was left feeling like the conversation was very surface level. Maybe we could’ve delved more into “obsession core” (reminds me of Becky’s interest in cults and how they form) instead of leaving it at “lol that’s so quirky.” Horror crushes are interesting as a topic but I don’t think we really analyzed that much here either. And am I imagining this or was Cailyn on a different tryguys pod and told the same stories?? To each their own but I find concert stories generally uninteresting. Hearing someone basically brag the entire episode about how many concerts they’ve been to isn’t a fun experience for me either. I doubt that was the intention, but def how it comes across. Like, it’s cool you have the opportunity for all that but most people don’t and it was a general drag to listen to…. But good for you for always seeing Harry from the floor 35x or whatever 😐
Sorry if this is overly negative, honestly I’d like to see/hear more from Cailyn, this convo just didn’t hit for me.

@@indiecloud100 I agree it was a fun convo at times, especially the barking lol and some smaller anecdotes. I’d be happy to see her on the pod again! It was really just all the concert talk that killed the vibe for me 🤷♀️ partly bc I’ve heard the story before. I think it was on Guilty Pleasures? I guess I took it as bragging bc it was the main focus and took up a large chunk of the episode, and nothing was really “delved into,” ya know? It’s hard for me to hear “I’ve been to at least 35 shows “ “I’ve never seen Harry from a seat” plus mentioning innumerable other concerts of other artists… and not have a thousand questions about why and how you choose that lifestyle. I guess it’s just part of her personality - being a concert goer I mean and being obsessive. And that’s great for her 👍 I’ve just never enjoyed concert talk in my real life conversation, and especially never understood the lifestyle of going to shows all the time. In my personal experience, people who go to shows constantly are making poor financial decisions and easily end up in debt, or are lucky in that others are providing the opportunities for them.
Every human is going to have experiences I can’t have, and I don’t always take people telling those stories as bragging, it’s more this specific context. Or I just don’t “get it” and that’s on me.
I love the pod, but I get very easily annoyed of the “california accent” even as a Californian. The over use of “literally” and “like” plus the “wanna be raspy voice” is overkill and to me, shows they aren’t a Californian, but a wannabe. Maybe it’s just a Gen Z thing, but I’ve noticed Maggie (a Californian, a millennial) doesn’t show these “annoyances”
