That Eichel own goal really gets to me... I can tell you from experience that it wasn't his fault at all. I say "from experience" because this happened to me once, and it is the most embarrassing thing you can do in Hockey, thank god we won.

It always saddens me when players break sticks that are worth one of my paychecks out of frustration. Those should be saved, signed, and auctioned for charity. What would you rather have, some random stick gently handed over the glass, or "this is the stick so and so broke that time he got high sticked and they missed the call and he went freakin nuts on the bench! And it's signed!"
This is a brilliant idea. Can we make this a rule? Any NHL player who intentionally breaks a stick must sign it and hand it over to be auctioned off for charity.
the charity idea is a great idea. it upsets me to watch players break sticks because there are so many kids/people out there who cant afford to play the sport. i know theyre doing it in the heat of the moment usually, but it doesnt make it less wasteful. they really should do something with those sticks. im sure the equipment managers take them and give them to friends or something. they may make something out of them or trash them. who knows? but its a shame to see the sticks get smashed like that.

If Nathan McKinnon is getting pissed at the coach maybe it is actually the coach. A good coach should be able to adapt on the fly. Especially if they didn't have a good showing a game before.
And that Fatsh thing, if I were a goalie and I saw my team just glide along while there is a turn over I would be screaming at my bench too. Hell if I was watching the game I would be yelling at the TV. I have done it lots when I see things that are stupidly obvious to us watching the game, the guys on the ice and coaches should have a better view and understanding of what's going on.

Tantrums; NHL'ers deliberately breaking hockey sticks . . . expensive moves that young hockey players cannot afford. Witnessed a 12 year old breaking his stick over a 2nd penalty after just getting out the penalty box. The dad, the asst. coach, motioned for the kid to come over to the side; Dad was plenty angry over the breaking the stick nonsense and said something about the kid's temper and not deserving to play. Found out later from my grandson, that the kid had to come to practices but his dad wasn't allowing him to play in the next few of games.
