    It's such a tasty snack too!!! I've tried to make akara before, but it always sink and absorb a lot of oil. Well, now I know to emulsify the bean batter, before frying! This was a very pleasant video, and easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

    Remarkable! I remember having these, in bread, with a spoonful or two of onion gravy purchased from the ladies who sold their wares in the school cafeteria. You could also buy the same combo from street stalls. Never heard of it being consumed with custard or other 'paps' though. Then again W.Africa does have regional differences in similar dishes, for example the West African Angloshere 'Jollof rice'.

    Hello dear lady, I hope you’re well.
    I absolutely loved your video and I was really impressed by your cleanliness, simplicity and the skilful way in all of your steps.
    In Sudan, we also make this!
    The only difference is that we use soaked Tamarind juice instead of water to blend with the beans. It adds a nice earthy sourness to the final result.
