If after watching this video (from beginning to end ooo, no skipping), and you still can't prepare akara, please come for deliverance. With this my scientific expose, everybody is a winner! 💃💃💃
Nä real deliverance😂😂😂
Pray for me oooo.... cheeeeei, aunty Flo, Avop eh.... I remember that oil.... precious memories.... I have liked ooo
If I don't have hand mixer and I cover for 1hr,will I still get that fluffy look?
@@Esteemglorichproperties if you don't have a hand mixer use a whisk and wish for at least 2-3 minutes. It will give you the same results.
I must get it o
Thanks ma'am
This one is real science. I wonder how our ancestors came up with all these techniques. Amazing. Thanks Aunt Flo
Lllppp
We Yorubas are a clever nation capable of inventing all sorts of techniques and strategies 😊
@@fisf.2148 who told you akara is an exclusive Yoruba delicacy?
@@fisf.2148 I dont know what "Yoruba" has got to do with making akara🧐. I have to ask have you left your town/village to other parts of Nigeria?? E get to ask?
@@fisf.2148 lol... Yoruba Akara is not sweet oo.
Chai! "Voltex", "electronomic" see big big grammar 😯
I'm sitting here eating my breakfast and watching this video. But the grammar eh! We are truly in a cooking class and science class all at once 😂
Nne, you're really under-rated on this CZcams street. You're too much ❤
As I continued watching, I heard another big one oo. "Oligosaccharide" 🙆🏼♀️
OK na!, today na today! We the subscribers/students must learn science by fire by force today. 😂
😂😂😂 Summer abeg o!
Thank you sister! 💛
I am telling you. No besmall science class
I actually look out for the vortex when am grinding lol.
@@FloChinyere This is a great recipe but I do have one question.
if you are wary of chemicals and already blended ogbono, egusi, spice mix etc. why do you and so many other fellow Nigerians and Africans use knorr or maggi cubes? They contain a lot of salt, msg, preservatives etc. Not to mention that they are produced by unilever and nestle respectively and their track record especially in Africa could not be worse.
I had no idea there was so much science that goes into akara! I thought it was just you mix the ngwo ngwo and fry. 😅 Flo I di egwu! 👍🏾👍🏾
Flo i think my wife has a lot to thank you for, as i have found new love for cooking naija food myself for the family. Tried your akara recipe and cooking instructions, i can say my Akara has floated for the first time. Lol
Yay!!! Kudos to you. 🙌🙌🙌
Congrats on the floating Akara💃🏾
This akara is A class🌟. I've never imagined using a whisk o. Flo am sure even in sleep you will be cooking. Because how you come out with this "scientific cooking n recipes"😍 is amazing.
😂😂😂 cooking in my sleep! Surprisingly cooking is the least of my favourite things to do. I just know the whys of the cooking process.
Aunty Flo brings SCIENCE TO the ART of cooking😊
The Only Akara on the Internet that went to University.
Look how Distinctive it stands out.
With its Cap and uniformed OGI.
Harvard university oooo
I have prided myself as one of the akara specialist. I even take some some to work to do 'olonga' to my colleagues. However, I learnt something today. The science of leaving it for some time to aid it's 'fluffyness'. I would whisk untill my hands start to spasm.
Thank you Flo
I can’t believe I’m watching this video of 2yrs ago and I’m cracking up 😅 This was fun to watch❤
Sis flo your channel should have been called Cooking Science, wow those akara graduated from Harvard.
Am from Zambia watched and tried it no sooner. Followed the steps and came out so well. First time eating it but I loved it. Thankyou.
My sister, you just arrested me with your domestic science class, brought back memories of our domestic science classes in Ghana. Even your kitchen has science instruments. I've just been laughing, Eeeiiii!!!! I am a winner just listening to you. Well I will let you know how mine turns out. I have received deliverance already. Cheeii! Laughter is good medicine !

This was more of a science class but I enjoyed it more than all the science classes we were taught in School. I suddenly feel like picking one through my screen. Looks delish🙌🙌👌👌😋😋.
Thanks for letting us in on the secret for a perfectly made Akara . I have not told anyone, but my secret has been adding a pinch of flour or pancake mix. Funny, but it works and nobody will know. I don’t have need of doing that now, hopefully. Thanks for letting me know to be patient in blending and letting the beans ferment.
This is the perfect Nigerian breakfast indeed. The akara looks delicious and yummy 😋. Thank you so much for sharing.
Yesooo ankara that went to harvard
I love this video - not just for the excellent recipe - but for showing how to blend akara with different tools. Flo knows my love for my Vitamix, but this video makes this recipe accessible to everyone. Thank you!
Thanks a lot for this updated recipe. For the very first time, I made Akara that my husband enjoyed and gave a positive comment to. It took me about two hours to clean the bean, the traditional way. It was worth the time. Good taste and fresh. God bless you richly for all you do!
You are simply the best Flo! Thanks for maintaining our traditional african recipes.
I'm so done with fake cooks on here trying to be wannabes, by complicating the recipes with crazy seasonings and crappy procedures... thumps up girl! n more vids plssssss!
When u talked about the watts of your blender, I quickly ran into my kitchen to check the watts of the new blender I got, turns out to be 400 watts, I never knew about this, thanks for this info sister chi

Wow! That’s beautiful science and I know it tastes good. I’m in New York so I’ll look for a Nigerian restaurant now.
This was one of my favorite breakfasts in my childhood. I hope to be able to replicate this this weekend for some from Ecuadorian friends coming over for business. They loved Moi-moi, and we want to try and make it with chanco.
As for the beans flour, it's as good as yam flour--- blah... I would rather condition myself and set time apart from making it.
This must really test good. Thanks for sharing sis
