It is perfectly fine for characters to be super attractive, but at 1:09, you can tell the game devs had to enchance some of the real life model's features. The model has a slim waistline, but they increased the size of her boobs and added extra mass/curves to her thighs/butt. So all of these features (slim waist + big boobs + curvy thigh and butt) put together will need people to get body enchancements to get them all of them in one person, especially an East Asian woman.
So the model doesn't quite resemble the game character since they enchanced the game character. In real life, thin people with low body fat tend to have smaller boobs since boobs are mosly fat. Same goes for thighs and butts. Women who are curvier around the thighs and have bigger boobs have more body fat since curves and larger boobs both get their shape from fat. So the game is basically merging multiple real life body features into the game that generally/normally doesn't "naturally" exist all at the same time in real life. All in all, there is nothing wrong with idealized attractive characters in these games, but we shouldn't call them realistic/natural body types if they're not.

If you saw the two in real life you, nor anyone else, would ever think that they look similar beyond both being low body fat %. Not only is the character based on a real life Korean model, but she was also designed by a woman artist, who happens to be the game director's wife.
Oh and that's nothing out of the ordinary, Bayonetta for example was also designed by a female Japanese artist.

Yeah, realism should apply there (though ironically, in both cases, the "positive" body types they champion for still wouldn't be viable in those situations due to weight restrictions).
But you're 100% right that fantasy games absolutely have no obligation to adhere to the rules and standards of real life. But what's crazy is that even though Stellar Blade is super sci-fi they still based the main character(s) on real life models, which basically destroys the argument made by the wokists.

We can't be sure that's what they mean, whoever "they" are, but I agree with the distinction you made.
The Stellar Blade character's body is certainly unrealistic for many women to achieve, if only because of differing bodily proportions among women. A given woman may be slim and generously proportioned yet look substantially less physically attractive than the Stellar Blade character.
This is not to say it's a problem to depict the character as they are depicted, I'm just elaborating on the distinction you made.

I am doing big spam on this one. The model isn't built remotely similar to the character (I did the measurements and maths), who with equal size torso would have 33 cm longer legs than the model and stand nearly 2 metres tall, with legs making up several percent of her body height more than the longest easily available recorded legs on a human. Her hips are also about 1/3 wider than the model's.

In Korea, obese men and women are perceived as people who cannot take care of themselves.
The fact that Koreans' staple food is a good combination of meat and vegetables may be the reason why they have less obesity.
When Westerners come to Korea, they will feel that it is difficult to see fat people and that there are many thin people. Especially those who are awake...
Korea is like number 1 for cosmetic surgeries and those phitos are shopped like crazy.

This is an interesting point. There is IGN Korea. No one gives importance to this website. Most people don't know that it exists, but sometimes, inexplicably, IGN Korea's news is mentioned in some western webzine.
They mislead by ensinuating that the opinion in that news is the unanimous opinion of Koreans, which is not true because the number of visitors to IGN Korea is small.
It seems that they create their narrative in another language than they mention it to enforce their opinion in the western world.

I am Vietnamese, this place vegetable and herb, fruit is cheap but meat is not for poor people. America have that opposite, cheese meat butter cheaper than fruit, vegetable and herb.
@@maryceleste_aghost To be precise, we (the US) have a lot of processed, cheap meat and cheese, cheap fast food options (although prices are getting steeper), lots of deep fried foods loaded with saturated fats, and tons of dessert, sugary options. Also, most of us use a car as places to go to are usually several miles away, so we don't do much walking.

I've never been overweight in my life because I don't eat a lot. I can get by with 1200-1500 calories comfortably. I prefer it. I have to force myself to eat more to put on muscle.
Track your calories for a day.
Get a fitness app and record what you usually eat, how much, and how often. You might be shocked to see how much you're actually eating. A big mac meal and a medium pizza will put you over 2,000 calories, and that's only two meals. Some people eat that for a snack.
If you're under 2,000 calories/day but still heavy set - *then* you can talk about uncontrollable factors like processed and sugar ladened food. Even so, you can clean diet and exercise(cardio) to fight back against your abysmal genetics. Weight is not an unsolvable curse.

As a guy born and living in South Korea, I can assure that still most women here think they are overweight when their bodyweight pass over 55kg, which is about 121lbs. And that is, at least for nowadays still a common sense that girls should be lighter than 140lbs unless they are like 5'7 tall. Similar standards also work for the guys though. And I personally think that's not so bad after all. It makes me keep working out to stay in shape and healthy.
