Thanks for subscribing. You can use many other vegetables and meats. Can even use bamboo shoots, snow peas, dried Chinese mushrooms, etc.

i love noodles. is chow mein same as gon lon mein? we have fresh noodle factories in hawaii are those chow mein noodles cooked or uncooked?

The main noodle factory is in Chinatown on the mauka side of King Street. The chow mein noodles are already cooked. When I make chow mein I put it in the oven to heat about 10 minutes. Then I add all the veggies and sauce over. Gon Lo Mein is just dried without all the sauce.

I looked at Macy's and TJ Maxx but they don't sell Woks, where can I purchase this type of cookware?

I've even gone to Walmart and they sell a medium size wok very cheap. Can't remember the price but probably about $20. If you're in Oahu, go to 555 Market on Kekaulike and King Street and there are all sizes. I could not find a wok in Chinatown, Vegas but got ours at a restaurant supply store. Also, International Marketplace on Decatur sells them.
