Won Ton Soup is a famous Chinese soup that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. It can be made with pork, chicken or shrimp and is often garnished with char siu, shrimp, crab, green onions and cilantro or Chinese parsley. When noodles are added, the soup dish is then called won ton mein.

Hello Lenora! I just wanted to say Thank You. For sharing all your wonderful recipes. I'm 62 years old, and come from the island of Kauai. I have learned so much about cooking things the way you do. Every recipe I have made according to your instructions, have been absolutely wonderful. God bless you. Mahalo
Thank you so much for your comments. I'm glad you're getting so much from my recipes. I cook the old fashioned ways like my mom, aunties and relatives did. I love cooking and glad I can share with everyone.
A favorite meal I would help my Mom prepare! She would purchase mein from Chinatown. Thanks for your video!
oh, yes... Love WonTon soup. Mahalo.
That is my favorite soup, especially when I don’t feel well.
Make a lot, freeze individually on trays and put in a ziplock bag so you can take out only what you need.
I use uour recipe in my squash n bok choy soup…. Winnnnnah
This reminded me of how much I used to love making my own won tons and won ton soup and I used to love the fish cake with the pink swirl in the middle.. I would slice it extra thin...mmmm, gotta do this soon.. Mahalo🌺
So good!
Aloha Auntie Lenora Love how you fold your Wontons I make a patty add duck egg yolks and steam
You are awesomeThank You! Pickle Lady! We waited forever to make this. Our favorite!
Thank you so much for your compliments, appreciate it. Thanks for subscribing. Be sure to tell your friends and family.
If you put a wet wash cloth under your cutting board it won't slide as much
Thanks, I do that most of the time.
Yes, that board sliding was getting me worried! ☺️
I so appreciate your specific instructions. We always order take-out, but I will try making it at home w/o telling my husband.
Good, family will love it.
Hi leonora, when you say soy sauce, can you be specific...kikoman, aloha or just soy sauce, not all are the same. It does make a difference in a dish I think. I love your videos!! Thank you for all of your knowledge and sharing your great recipes 😊
I prefer Aloha. Not as salty to me. Kikkoman is salty. Try low sodium soy but it's more privy. Experiment, you can also dilute it.
Love this recipe! I like how you added shrimp to it as well 😋🍤
i love wontons i like the way you fold the wontons. yes i free them n put in ziplock bag im so ono for wonton im going tomorrow to buy wrappers
I love Won Ton with noodles! Can't wait to make this dish!
Hawaii’s Pickle Lady could you please teach us how to cook Beiging Beef?
Not familiar with that. What is it?
It’s beef with vegetables using Szechuan sauce the Chinese Panda makes them daily that’s what I order when I order Chinese food so delicious!! I hope this help you so you could teach us how to cook it thanks Leonora Hawaii’s Pickle Lady
That seems so easy to make ... I’m hungry now
I've had won ton soup with an Asian spinach in the broth. Do you know what type of spinach it is that some Chinese restaurants use?
There's a heftier spinach, maybe the red tinted ones.
Still. could not find steam pork hash at your online site. Is it the crispy gau chi or crispy won ton ingredients, then make a pattie and steam it? Sorry to be so much trouble.
Don't have steamed pork hash. But you can just use the pork hash from the won ton, put it in a shallow dish and steam it for 30 minutes. I like to add some cha gwa (canned small cucumbers in soy sauce and sugar. You can also add a salted duck egg yolk or salted dried fish.
Auntie, looks so ono. My favorite kine. Mahalo. Los Vegas is building a Zippy's. When it opens going to fly there. Closer than Hawaii.
Make your own, tastier and cheaper.
Kenora, my daughter asked me to make her some wonton for her birthday, however she wants it made with chicken. Do you mix chicken with shrimp?
I hate auto correct! Sorry "Lenora"!
Don't see why not.
My spelling is Leonora.
I want to eat this! I didn’t know that some people chop up their own pork. It must be yummy that way but wow, lots of work
I've seen so many of the old timers chop their own. Sometimes they use 2 cleavers.
You Rock very nicely!
Chest nuts?
water chestnuts.
Looks so ono!
Make it and you can add anything to it to jazz it up.
Thank you for this recipe! I really want to know what you are doing with the pineapples on the counter though... Some type of fermentation?
Just waiting to cut it.
