    I have several plants with stalks,I immediately cut them off I often wondered if I should leave them on because of the beautiful 🌸
    Thanks for reading my mind✌🏾

      yes that’s the best cut them off I know they look really pretty what I tend to do is capture a picture of it and then cut it off 😂

    It also makes the plant shapeless,I left mine on for a couple of weeks and not my succulents look so distorted, they loose their roset shape

      yes very true if the mother plant is smaller then the entire shape is gone 🙁

    Cutting off toxic relationships isn't cruel at all but still I felt really sorry for those beautiful blooms. Now how do I know which stalk will produce blooms and which one will produce pups?

    • @LushGardener
      @LushGardener  Před 2 lety +3

      yes at times I do feel bad but in a way it’s good ….there was a time I used to left them stay but there are these black aphids they will kill the succulent I still remember losing my beautiful echeveria ester to it…I don’t know what the aphids did the blooms stalk suddenly rotted and it directly harmed the crown area of the succulent which is the most important part of the succulent .
      HOW TO ENSURE ITS NOT A PUP ? to be on safer side wait for the bloomstalk to grow slightly big like 4-5 cm you will be able to see the buds plus pups will usually grow on lower part of the succulent …..very rare u will see any pup growing up
      and blooms stalk will usually grow few cm below the crown area or slightly next to the crown area
      but it always better to wait for some time in some cases you will see flower buds quite early at times later
