    Let’s go. An icon of the past perhaps the most well know archenemy of the P51. 6s is the way to go with the 1.5m warbirds. For me as a low end advanced pilot, I have more control with my planes with safe off than on.

    Well I guess I can have both.
    Great flying and demo of this plane. 190's can be tricky with the short nose moment (like Zeros) but they also fly rock solid as you demonstrated when the CG is spot on.

  • @Brumbieman

    I think a big reason it bounces when landing is the scale of what it's landing on. On a scale level, the 'airport' might as well be a randomly 'almost' flat section of the Russian steppe. Maybe try the same plane with a properly levelled landing strip and see if it still bounces? Certainly, nothing to do with your pilot's skill at landing, it just doesn't have a flat enough scale field to land on.

    Rich. Cool my friend. Good to see Pete behind the cam. Hey- you should use the telemetry on your Spektrum radio. Not much difference I notice between it and the SMART checker. Save you time too so you can get back in the air. 👍👍😎

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  Před 3 lety

      I have not really looked, but does the onboard telemetry have a % of use on the display? I don't think it does, but I'm not sure.

    • @payitfwdrcl6171
      @payitfwdrcl6171 Před 3 lety +1

      @@RCINFORMER I don’t think it displays ma left. I need to double check that. But, with the SMART battery you were using in that plane you should be able to spin the roller to the right and get individual cell voltage just like you would see on the SMART CHECKER. Keep in mind, you have to setup the SMART telemetry in the radio first. There’s an auto telemetry setup function to it as well if you choose that option.

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  Před 3 lety +1

      @@payitfwdrcl6171 The Telemetry data is mostly nice to know information... However, having only cell voltage to look at, gives us very little information about capacity remaining. The Cell checker or a timer, is really the only way to know "what you got left" in the pack that is usable for flying. If they could add a % percentage remaining in the pack, displayed on the radio, that would be useful:)

    excellent explanations given and great on-going narration of exactly what you are doing when flying !!! ........speaking as a fairly newer pilot, I seem to always be able to pick up some helpful tips from your videos.....I am currently flying the yellow HH T 28 Trojan on 4S ( my 1st low wing ) ...how much more of advanced pilot skills are required to successfully handle something like this FW 190 ......and which plane would you recommend as a next step warbird ?...thanks much

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  Před 2 lety +1

      It would be ideal to fly a tail dragger of some kind before a warbird. That being said, The Fw190 is fairly easy to fly.... even the E-flite P-51is easy to fly.

    • @garyvale8347
      @garyvale8347 Před 2 lety +1

      @@RCINFORMER understood...thanks much for the reply.....

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  Před 2 lety +1

      @@garyvale8347 Remember that Tail draggers are different than planes with tricycle gear. The technique for takeoff and landing is different, its not hard, but more demanding in understanding torque effects and the need to use rudder and careful use of throttle in coordination with the rudder to keep the plane tracking down the runway. This torque effect is less critical in something like a 3s powered FMS SUPER EZ & more critical in something like a 6s powered E-flite P-51... Mostly because with more power, more torque CAN be generated and you just need to be aware of the need to better coordinate your throttle input with the amount of rudder input you use:)

    • @RCINFORMER
      @RCINFORMER  Před 2 lety

      Both are really great. The P-51 is faster, but the Fw190 is newer with slightly better construction techniques used to make it.

    Too bad it looks like it was painted by a child. Imagine how nice it would be if they cost on the plane 1 more minute of painting. Now you have to do something to not be ashamed. ... But people seem to think that it is meant to look like that🤔
    A well made plane exept the paint. .
