World War II Germany's Focke-Wulf Fw 190A featured a relatively simple design that placed a large radial engine into the narrow fuselage of a small, single-seat fighter. After the "Butcher Bird" took its first flight on June 1, 1939, its effectiveness in air superiority, interception, ground attack and bombing roles led many Luftwaffe pilot to happily trade their Messerschmitt Bf 109s for the new warbird. This first-ever E-flite® Focke-Wulf model is based on a full-scale replica once owned by the late Rudy Frasca. Painted with the wartime markings of Austrian Luftwaffe pilot Oskar Bosch, the replica has been flown in west coast airshows and at the National Air Races in Reno. Dang It! I was about to pull the trigger on the FMS F7F Tigercat..... but with this awesome plane coming out I’m so conflicted! The Eflite P-51 is an awesome plane and it looks like they have improved even more on this one!

I have been clamoring for these companies to give the warbirds more love, and E-flite comes out with one of my absolute favorites. The one thing that still irks me is that price tag 😣 but I will most likely pull the trigger on this purchase. Thank you Boozers! You guys rock and keep on doing your thing 🤘🛫
Think about what you get at the price though. The wing halves come off with no screws and all quick disconnects IE no servo connections. The wing itself comes on and off with 4 screws and no fiddling with wires. All the linkages are installed out of the box. 13 screw from box to flying 0 glue with a receiver pre programs with a gyro that works flawlessly. All features that everyone wants. That being said if we want them to be this easy there going to cost more. I actually think the price is spot on for what you get in this model. They could have cut corners to save price but the model wouldn’t be as good as it is. This is the nicest most well thought out model that has ever come across our table if she hits the ground I will buy a new one instantly it’s that good.

I assembled mine today, the gear and flaps don't work. I'm sure it's a connection issue, but it's disappointing considering the price tag.

Wes go to www.wingspanmodels.com and look at the 1/9 scale B-17 they have. It’s balsa but not ARF. It’s all in pieces and is $2750.00. I can’t go for that, if it was ARF maybe.👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
I love the looks of the plane but am unwilling to buy new batteries, any idea if the IC5 connector can be replaced with a XT90?
Can but an adapter would be a better idea so you don’t void warranty

How much weight does it take to compress the shocks? Are they functional?
yes they are functional I dont have an exact amount but they will compress on a landing.
They do such a nice job, paint and all the little bits, even the pedo tube is screwed in. Look forward to the maiden. 👍🏻

Finally an innovative Foamie Warbird from Horizon but the paint work is something that came out of either the Dynam or New Bright Toy Factory ! Horrific !
