@@erikanders3343 I'm not sure if Arizona has punitive damages for defamation, or if they do whether there are limits to how much a jury can award. And drawing on her campaign funds to pay her personal legal bills is likely illegal.
I think her PAC is a political action slush fund. She's not officially campaigning for anything so it doesn't fall under election guidelines, regulations and accountability.

In a court of law Kari Lake will be in a lot of trouble when it comes to discovery, because she has nothing while Richer has an enormous amount of information that directly implicates Lake. Her lawyers should try and get her to settle out of court, but that will never happen.
I don't understand why everyone talks about discovery like it's magic. And I don't think you understand how it works. If Richer has an enormous amount of information, he doesn't need discovery. Discovery is a process of gathering information _from_ your opponent. I imagine he will find documents during discovery making it clear she's been told to tone down the attacks on Richer, or maybe admitting she knows she's lying. That would be good for Richer, but I don't think she's that dumb.
