Why wouldn't you just use an old wine bottle as the form for this "wine" bottle holder? 🤣😂🤣 I've never seen anyone do things the hard way like you do things the hard way, it's amazing.

My guess is that he needs a strong object to use as a base since he needs to clamp it while the resin sets, so a sturdy tool works! 😊Glass breaks whenever it wants to, no matter what, I wouldn't risk using the bottle either lol 😂

Nick, we never think that just because a video is short it's rubbish. We know things take much longer in life than in a video. And I like little ideas that I could do at home without any equipment. And it ended up looking cool. What more could you want? 😊❤️

Nick, the way you’ve got that one if the bottle was full and fall out maybe do it so if the ropes facing outwards so that holds a bottle in if it’s full if you get my idea

for more stability , you could add a stiff wire in the rope , the submerge the whole thing in the resin, put it in a pressure chamber and allow that resin to really get into the rope . Just my thoughts.( haven't finished the video yet tho so maybe you will surprise me lol )

Isn’t the bottle supposed to rest so the wine keeps the cork moist?
I think you'd find ultra thin 'penetrating epoxy' or 'stabilizing' epoxy to be well worth the time and effort, it's so perfect for the sort of project you like ! 😊

Maybe next time you could give it support and shape with a little bit of interior armature wire so that you can already have it holding the shape you want and then just add resin?

Interesting idea, but for corked wines it needs to be tipped further so the cork stays wet.

I really like the idea of a rope wine bottle holder. However, NEVER drink wine from a bottle with a screw cap and wine bottles need to be stored with the top pointed down to keep the CORK from drying out. Other than that, it's a really cool idea.
