- for this woodturning project I decided to experiment using paper card. each piece has to coated in resin in order for this to work. this wasn't easy but I managed to make this work in the end. hope you enjoy the video!

Here in the U.S., we have drive-through banks. When you pull up to the bank, you put your money or checks (cheques) into a canister that then passes through a pneumatic tube into the bank proper. To me, this looks like one of those canisters.
I thought the same thing!
That or an old timey scroll all rolled up
In Poland we have ATM with extra function of receiving money. I am 32 and i never wrote a cheque in my life.
We use them in hospitals as well to transport specimens and blood etc... Pretty much just like the banks.
When you added the wood on both ends, before turning, it looked like a giant electrical fuse! Cool project! Fun video, as always!
Exactly what I thought.
same
I also thought it looked (don't the right word for it) like the thingy the used to put into a tube which would be sucked up and whisked away to another part of the building.
@@jholmes880 pneumatic tube transport
@@jholmes880yes like a bank transaction tube!
These whimsical projects that are the result of you asking "what if?" are my absolute favorites. ❤
Me too
I love how the paper blends from one color to another. Looks like an HD child coloring book with it it being fuzzy. Love It.
I am continuously blown away by the quality and creativity of your channel. I can’t get enough! You, sir, are fantastic.
Looking forward to the next one
And when you think he seemed to be struggling a few months ago for ideas, he’s certainly picked himself up, I was worried he’d give up then, thank fully he didn’t, super guy and so much fun👍🏻
@@expatmoose couldn’t agree more
That turned (pun intended) out pretty sweet.. love all the color transitions.. 😊🤘🏼🇺🇲
That turned out so stunning! Gorgeous!!
I share all your videos with my 87 year old mother who lives in an independent senior living center. This morning, my mother asked me to send the video to one of the other residents in the facility because my mom was talking about this video and the other resident wants to see it!
Share!!!
LOVE your creative videos!
That is SO CUTE! I hope your mom and her friends are doing well!
Now we know what a rainbow tree would look like after being turned on the lathe!
Totally funkadelic!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That is gorgeous! It reminded me of a rain maker before you turned it. I love your love of colour Nick, the world needs more of it 😀
Absolutely stunning! I am a paper crafter so it was so
much fun for me to watch this vase come alive. It reminded me of Native American pottery. Just so beautiful. Vintage, classic Nick complete with a horn tute! Thanks Nick ❤
I also thought it reminded me of a Navajo design.
@@NormaDerr-nv4cn great minds think alike! I just love the color swirls. 👌
That’s simply amazing, Nick. There’s no way you’d ever know that was made from paper.
Anyone else notice the red glitter in his nose for the first part of the outro? 😂 This turned out so cool!
Aghghghahghahgh ... now I cannot UNsee it. 😂😅😊
Wow! I love it! I love color too!
I totally started cheering when I saw that you're keeping the shavings to make another project with. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
It reminds me of a fuse. Love how you remain experimental. Keep up the great work 😊
That card stock would make really cool staircase spindles. Enjoying the videos!!
I like it when you speed up your voice and other stuff - You sound like one of the Minions going to work and it makes me happy.
Reminds me of the tubes used in the drive up at banks to put your bank stuff into...before turning.
After turning, this is so beautiful! One of my favorites, Nick.
I actually like the foggy diffuser used with the shavings from this vase. My favorite is the green and gold diffuser. Well done 👏 ❤
My immediate worry was that it would end up like the vinyl record project, but once I read that each piece was individually coated, that worry went away. I love that you not only show us your... less than successes, but you also showcase learning from them. Keep on bein' funky, Nick!
Ditch the flowers.
A vase that beautiful can stand on its own merit as an art form.
Yes, cool, too.
Could you imagine a four poster bed with those colors
I love it, Nick. The colors turned out great and I, too, thought of a dried flower arrangement. And the shavings look like paper beads. So fun!
That vase is one of the most beautiful colourful things you have made. I just love it.
This vase is truly FUNKY! It screams 1960s/70s and I absolutely love it!
I went from "He's lost his mind to I want that" That was awesome!
Have you ever tried to make a cutting board out of resin maybe you could take the shavings to make a cutting board or some coasters anyway I love your ideas I love your designs they're awesome❤
The colours are stunning, love the way they marble together. Beautiful!
Right? The tallness of the piece makes it work.
Coloured paper, resin, wood, and dried flowers - perfection!
Brushing the resin on...so smart. Such a good idea.
That turned out so beautiful. You'd never guess it was paper ❤️
I love the way the color pattern came out. The texture of the paper makes it look like fabric. Before you turned it, it looked like a psychedelic battery, lol. And as much work as the layers were, it seems like a fairly easy project to replicate to make other things in the future. Great job, Nick!
Oh Nick, that is sooooooo BEAUTIFUL!!!! Just INCREDIBLE!!!!
A pool (billiards) que out of that card paper would be SO NEAT!
It turned out beautiful! 😊 I think before it became a vase it looked like it could be a piece from the Tardis. 😄
That is so cool! The colors are so vivid and the pattern is so neat! Beautiful!
Reminds me of that old-fashioned ribbon candy my Nan had for the holidays.
That would make a beautiful lamp base.
💡
Just LOVE your creativity! Keep your awesome videos coming!
This is absolutely stunning! I could totally see it as a lamp base too.
Unique piece Nick.
Your vids are just one of the few that my wife will stop reading a book and watch your vid.
I have turned for years and you inspire me to turn weird stuff! Bowling balls, billiard balls, candy…… fun stuff!
Utterly fabulous 🤩
That turned out gorgeous, man! Great work, as usual. I think the bright colors are always amazing!
Thank you! Cheers!
At the beginning it looked like Nick was making baklava with cardstock and resin, lol! The end product was nice.
I love how the mycarta turned with it rolled up. Stunningly funky!
Wow! Brilliant shape and colours, you really do make stunning pieces
We believe in you!!😊
I reminded me of the container that goes through those vacuum tubes in older hospitals, office buildings, ect....
Your best projects are the ones like this. No specific plan in mind, just keep going until you love it. Fantastic, NZ 🎉
that was a beautiful vase. its amazing how you took something like paper, that would/could have been fuzzy and the finished product looked like a solid piece of wood. love it!
As always, it's completely fabulous!!!! Love the colors ❤
Haven’t watched in ages and have no idea why. The tool for stirring the resin is proof I’ve been away for far too long. 😂
That turned out better then I expected. Funky.
Your creations are so very creative and unique! You are a blast to watch while making said creations too!!
I’ll be honest, I did not think it would turn out as wonderful as it did! 🤯😍 definitely one of my favorite Zammeti creations!
Nick, I just recalled, that the vase looks like a fuse.... brilliant..
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It reminds me of a tree that naturally has different colors in different layers.
Is so beautiful!
That is so pretty, Nick. Your videos are worth waiting for. The little diffuser was cute too. Have a great day!
Thank you so much x
Nick, you never cease to amaze me with your creativity! What a cool project!
“I’m hoping it’s a little bit funky”. Do you ever make anything that’s not funky?😂👍
Looks like a kaleidoscope I had as a child x
Hey Nick, this turned out so amazing!! The color patterns are spectacular and the wood compliments it beautifully. Love this gorgeous vase, keep the projects coming!
I love this one. Love the psychedelic look of the colors. You did good once again my friend. Keep it up with the great projects. You do good stuff!
YES TIKTOK! IM SO GLAD YOUR ON TIKTOK! I really think you’ll find a large community on TikTok!
Reminds me of when you have those big pieces of meat wrapped with string around it! :D
You, sir, are an amazing creator. ❤
Your creativity and attitude is just awesome and inspiring.
Absolutely gorgeous. I instantly thought that would make a great gift for a teacher. Cut it in half and make it into a pencil holder. Awesome!!! 🥳🎺
Psychedelic, baby! Another extraordinary gift to us from your never-ending imagination. Thank you!
🌈Happy Days!🌈 that is beautiful 🤩
Another woodturner/artist made this amazing teardop out of resin and construction/art paper...loved it!!!
This is really cool too!!
Love the Austin powers clips you throw in. That was my jam growing up. Lol ❤
A pair of those would make beautiful candleholder 😊
That would make a great bong!
The fun and humor you have with these projects, makes the videos so much better!!!
And the horn toot at the end. Lol!
AS USUAL...YOU are Amazing!!! and Fun!!! and I love what you do...even your "fails" are successes...and this one is/was a total joy to watch... and the result. Delightful. (you have two old ladies keeping you and your family in prayer)
Something like this would make a heck of a lamp base.
You were right. It is funky.
And I dig the waffling.
Oh Nick, you do worry me! You say you have no idea what you're going to do so I think "oh dear!" And then, and then you do something like this amazing awesome vase!!😂
Very 1960’s lovely! Great video
Nick, thanks for being a legend just as yourself. 🎉
This is AMAZING Nick! The paper part looks like Paka wood. You really did a great job. And those Diffusers!?!? They’re awesome! 💜
I hope I'm not the only one who knows it's an instant thumbs up on arrival.
Great stuff as always, Nick!
In the words of Austin Powers: "Groovy Baby". Excellent work.
Every one of your videos feels like I’m about to watch a train wreck, and then something gorgeous happens! I don’t know how you do it.
All I can say about the vase is, fab, fab, fab!
Once again you reimagined something to turn. Real genius. toot toot from heavenly horns
The tube looks like candy when it's being made.
Edit: I really like the misty/bublly difusser. It has character!
I think it looks like a kaleidoscope!
It looks like you dyed individual rings of wood, sick work!.. am I the only one that thinks it would make an awesome lamp?
This is really cool! Who would think all that beautiful color is sheets of paper!
I think the milky resin incident is the pigment from the shavings. I have a collection of wooden pencil shavings that swirl and.... As an artist, I love to use all kinds of multi - mediums. They would look stunning. I even have the broken points. 😂 I will use them in time. 😂❤ Love this coloured paper technique. I used to make my own beads out of a colourful magazines into strips, In a taper end and wider triangle. Put it around a round toothpic and used clear nail polish. LOL 😂 Beautiful statement piece.
You’re accent made it so much more interesting to watch
It looks like a bundle of exposed wires in a bundle. The end result is really fun. It would actually make a great urn for holding ashes. There's a place for a name plate and everything!!!!
The length and width of this makes me think it'd make a nice lamp. Very cool looking 😊
I’m glad you kept the channel going looks like your having fun again
It reminds me of the trees that have all the color in them. It's wood my husband would just love too have.
Before You Started Cutting/ Shaving Into It, It Reminded Me Of A Giant Version Of Those Old Fashioned Christmas Holiday Candies. 😅😊 ~ 1 Amor
Candy jaw breaker, when half consumed!
Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t this…this is amazing!!!!
After you hit ONE MILLION ... what's there to look forward to?? Good luck!
Absolutely gorgeous. I want one. ❤
