Elite Series Fog Lamps are available in two SAE F3-compliant color options: 6000K cool white and 3000K selective yellow. Both come standard with an integrated amber backlight. This is an added accent light that fully illuminates the main lens with amber LEDs. Thanks to a highly-engineered single-piece PMMA lens, copper-core circuit board, and multi-die automotive emitters, Elite Series Fog Lamps deliver up to 5 TIMES more output than halogen lamps. I will say, having run these I was fairly disappointed with how dim the DRL amber function of the fog lights are in daylight. The Diode Dynamics Elite Series Headlight replacements for the JL are wonderfully lit all amber. Really wanted that factory projector look to match the Elite Series headlights with the same amber output for DRL functions. Would have probably been better off with the pod light replacements, but you lose that really banging cut off. Can’t win them all! They are leaps and bounds better than the factory halogen fog lights. Can’t go wrong there.
Thank you for the feedback! The amber backlight on the Elite Series Fog Lamps are not designed to be as bright as the DRL in the Elite Series Headlights, they are just another accent light you can use while your fog lights are not on.

Just ordered for my 2018 JL with the mopar LED package. My factory LED Fog light went out and looking for a replacement. So glad I came across your product. So for the backlighting feature, I too want to just tap into my side amber light, is that tapped into the connection under the wheel liner near the top of the fender? Thank you
Hey there! Yes, you can either tap the sidemarker wire, or a parking light wire, using the included T-tap!
@@diodedynamics ok. Ty for your reply. Seems that the white/brown wire like you did is the best option to tap into. I’m hoping it easy to get to like in your video. Fingers crossed. Most CZcams instructions never go as easy as shown.
Is the backlight wire on the side marker tap the same in a 2012 wrangler as well? Brown/white wire?

Sorry about that! Sadly, at this time, we do not offer the mounting brackets for the JL Sport models on the Elite Series. We offer a Stage Series kit that would work great for you!
