I installed these on our 2010 Outback. Brought them from Lightwerkz as well. Installed them just in time too, bc the weather this winter got so bad. I paired these with upgraded D2S mini projectors with Osram Nightbreaker Laser bulbs, and I must say this setup came in clutch driving in Moranga, CA at night during a flood watch! Had a car full of family members leaving a wedding when the roads had no streets lights. Don't need stickin' street lights this this setup!

The red/white wire needed to tap for the amber backlight function is it part of the 12 wire connector block underneath the headlight? If it is, I don't see a red/white wire

Yes but make sure you are looking at headlight side. Not car side

how easy is it to remove the bumper?

It is not complicated in any way. Just a bunch of plastic clips. Can be removed within 15 mins. Overall this is DIY friendly.
