- In this video, we showcase some brand new headlights from Form Lighting and the new Elite Series fog lights from Diode Dynamics!
The Form Lighting headlights for the 2016-2022 Toyota Tacoma uses the popular C-style headlights as the DRL. The main difference would be the turn signals which lights up the upper half of the DRL. The output of these are much better than factory as far as the low beams and high beams.
The Diode Dynamic Elite Series fog lights is something we did not expect but man were we impressed. First, it was the backlight that got our attention. Then the insane output when the fog lights were on blew our mind. The fog light output was so intense and wide that I am convinced that these are the brightest on the market as far as a factory looking fog light.

Very nice. Been drooling over these Elite fogs for a bit. I have OEM LED fogs already but this would take it to a whole new level.
Great review! Love the amber backlight on the Diode Dynamics Elite Series fogs!
New headlights look amazing!
Amazing! 🤩💪🏽
Awesome!! You guys are always on top of technology for the Tacoma I went to the website to check it out
Will this work for the SR5?
I have this exact setup and I love it
How about the installation video and how the fog light get wired to DRL. Thanks
Can I run the drl without having the fogs run at the same time with these headlights?
Drinking game: everytime you hear the word "guys" take a sip! 😘
IS THERE ANY WAY TO ADJUST THE BEAM OF THE HEADLIGHTS
Hi. When you day DRL mode, do you mean the parking lights? My 2018 Taco doesn’t have a separate DRL mode. When the car is on and running, DRL doesn’t turn on unless I turn on the parking lights (which means the tail lights turn on too). Is that the same case for you?
No, DRL is something that is constantly on when the truck is on. On your headlights toggle you should see a DRL mode if you have it.
The cutoffs on those form headlights isn’t the best the fog lights are real nice with a super clean cut off.
Do you recommend the headlights? I'm debating on these, Morimotos, Alpharex or OEM Pro's.
If you have the money, I would definitely go with Morimoto. My favorite headlight by far.
I just upgraded mine to the OEM Pro’s. They are easy to install, and look awesome. Amazing output.
All priced similarly so it really comes down to look.
@@Runnin4Tacos what about between alpharex and form? Headlights and tails? Heard the alpharex have fitment and condensation issues
@@AFGixxeR88 Actually ALL of these company's have a disclaimer that condensation is normal. They have a little paper in the box to explain why lol.
Nice headlights! But why does the stock drls look brighter than the form lighting?
Hmm, We would have to do a side-by-side comparison to see.
The stock DRLs are brighter in order to be visible in daylight.
Hi been watching your videos for a while, I have a 23' Trail Tacoma that doesn't come with factory fog lights, how do I go about installing this fog lights?
Hi there I have a 2023 trail edition as well and what I did was I bought the 4 pin connector wiring harness so that the harness has the built in feature for the amber backlight. I called diode dynamics customer service and they provided the advice I needed
Are the headlights plug and play for the SR5 as well?
Yes sir!
How about a 2nd gen sequoia project build?
Unfortunately, we are not going to build out a 2nd gen sequoia. Maybe 3rd Gen?
My taco is thirsty for fuel. Please make a video about how to optimize for best fuel economy.
Unfortunately, That is one area everyone is lacking to improve on. Seems like most mods make the MPG worse lol. And the ones that claim to improve MPG are very very minimal. Wait for the new hybrid Taco? lol
@@Runnin4Tacos Thank you for checking.
I’m getting around 14mpg on a bad day and 19 on a good day. Mine is stock. 2016 off-road.
@@iamkingrichard2032 I have a 2017 V6 SR5 4x4. As long as I keep the RPMs around 1500, it can do better than 20mpg. Problem: it means I drive around 60mph or less going up a hill. I drive going around 60 on 80mph freeways.
It’s a truck! If you want good gas mileage get a Prius
Cam i put that on a sr5
Yes you can
Can you show the Amber DRL please?
U forgot the best part when u first turn them on & they dance
I was curious about that too
@@peteniemela9900 theyre rebranded vland headlights if you want to check other vids & see
@@fsdesignify I’m shopping around for LED headlights. Looking for something better then the halogen that came with it. Considered OEM LED , but I see so many mix reviews. Do you have any input?
