Both Frozen AND Tangled are awesome.
Movie has some better arguments. Both leads, Flynn and rapunzel are legit heroes and do whatever it takes to not let evil win. Elsa didn't feel like she kept running and didnt even try to be like "at least I should try to beat the bad guys". Even her sister anna put better effort in that category

I have actually not met a single person IRL who thinks Frozen is better than Tangled. Frozen had a more striking and memorable visual style I think but story & character wise Tangled is clearly superior.
Not to mention, the music in Frozen was absolutely awful. There was not a single good song on the soundtrack.
Tracy Strihafka It wasn’t awful. It was just annoying. Especially ‘Let It Go’, which I had to wait a year and a half before people could finally stop singing it
Tracy Strihafka Nah, the music _was_ cool. Seemed like everyone lost their minds when they first heard the Frozen songs, even won some pretty big awards to no one's surprise. It's just been overplayed to Hell and back, now none of us want to hear it anymore lol

What they also did was make the facial animation so good. go back on the boat and watch the corner of her mouth give a small almost unseen twitch when she sighs. Watch her eyes move minutely at least 12 times she she realizes he lit a lantern and turns her head. A ton more to notice in just that one segment.

She probably would still be curious about the "floating lights" even if it wasn't her birthday. The plot would continue forward, it would just take a little longer for her to connect the dots.
In her defense she is a Mother Gothel is a narcissist and a psychopath she probably didn't make the connection between the lights ritual and Rapunzels birthday she was just too concerned in keeping her under control

Disagree. Literally everyone hates Frozen now and has always praised Tangled. Never met a single person say they didn't like Tangled.
I really don't get it. I was completely underwhelmed by Frozen. Especially because it was all anyone would talk about. They didn't explain how Elsa got her powers. Olaf is annoying. Not a fan of Elsa's singing. The plot was not what I had expected at all, in a bad way. Elsa was kind of a jerk and wooden. The rock trolls, what even. I enjoyed the animation and Anna's character, but that was about it. Yet there's so much to enjoy about Tangled and I've never heard anyone talk about it.

I'm a 33 year old man. And to this day, I still say, "pans, who knew? Right?" It's possibly my favourite Disney film, it's up there with Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid
Little Mermaid is still a huge gap in my general knowledge (though I did read the original, which gave me nightmares). Beauty and the Beast is still gorgeous (the animation, not the ****** CGI circus), and Tangled is frightfully good considering the "barely legal cloistered girl + con-artist" element.
And Aladdin.

Because that Line doesn't really happen. He just says "I don't sing" and people made the meme about him asking himself when the one who asks that is in enchanted, not tangled.

Bill Cipher He said Disney musical, not Disney movie. Songs aren’t the only thing that make up a movie which is why I think tangled is better because the plot itself is actually enjoyable while I feel like frozen is only carried by the songs it had. Just my opinion

Tangled is to Frozen like The Little Mermaid is to Beauty and the Beast. FAR superior movies that put the world on notice that Disney was back and set the table for their follow-up to become a smash hit despite Frozen and Beauty being frayed around the edges due to being rushed into theaters.

There is nothing in Frozen that comes close to "I See the Light." I still can't get that song out of my head, and I'm actually glad.

Yeah, a bunch of random songs which could come from three different soundtracks and of which no less than two managing to get a placement on my "Worst Disney Songs" line-up, with Fixer upper EASILY topping the list.
Plus, Tangled has also a beautiful score! I especially love the Kingdom dance and The Tear heals.

This is one of my guilty pleasure movies and think it was really well done. What makes it so good is how realistic Goethel's evil is. Many of us had parents like her, or know people like her, and it's a whole different level of mindfuckery.

I love how he dared me to hum the healing incantation and I did...it's quite memorable once you know the lines for it.

The extra "cartoon" threw me off...

Yes, Toothless is more cat-like than dog-like, though he has displayed traits of both.
And yes, this trick is tired. They continue to do it because it's the most relatable animal because more people are dog-lovers than any-other-kind-of-animal-lovers and studios know it's an easy "aww" moment or laugh. Gives people a dopamine hit in their brain when they see their dog or dog behaviour reflected on screen.
Hey, I like animals, I see animal movies, but find what's funny about THAT particular species, don't make it act like a dog unless the gag is REALLY worth it.

Absolutely. They had to force that joke in to meet their quota.
I wouldn't call it B-Side but I also wouldn't say it is great Disney music. Tangled's songs for the most part feel similar to Tarzan's songs. Made for a movie but also written so that they could be played on a radio channel other than radio Disney.

While I still agree Tangled is better than Frozen, it does not have any really catchy songs, so I only vaguely remember "I have a dream", not the rest. While I can hum "You want to build a snowman" and "Let It Go", but again, not the rest.
