    Honestly, I loved this one because it was great to have a believably twisted female killer be the centre of a movie for once. Amazing Amy is the woman every man fears he married - and I love how that was played with here. Really great movie, and both Pike and Affleck are great in their roles. Good choice for a reaction!

    Fun fact about the gummy bear scene: they originally used jellybeans, cause that's what he used in the book. Problem is after a few takes where they used them, they had to change it because Ben Affleck said they hurt like hell. So gummy bears it was.

      He just screams negligent, uncaring and unloving husband, which is why we don't have a hard time believing he'd murder his wife. He lies, he cheats, he has sex with a student, he doesn't know anything about his wife's life after dragging her to his hometown to care for his mother, and then basically abandon her at home when his mother dies. Nick is trash too. But he's not on Amy's level.

    Nick is a pervert/bit of a predator (going after his student) as well as a cheater and seemingly emotionally stunted as well. However, of course, Amy is completely next level in this book/movie. When I first read this, then watched the movie, had such conflicting feelings because clearly we can't root for Amy but I also think the husband character is such a POS, he is hard to root for as well lol Still, great writing, acting, etc and so compelling!

      @@matthollands7771 Ehhh he might be a little weird but his student was legal so technically he didn’t do anything wrong. I wouldn’t say a cheating spouse to equal to a murderer/psychopath. It’s weird that people even want to root for her to begin with, she killer someone, that’s unjustifiable.

    • @eerroottaa
      @eerroottaa Před 2 lety

      @@panashe5268 it’s still morally wrong no matter how technically ok his affair was. It’s also gross but in the book you learn his dad was misogynistic and raised him that way so he would joke around saying women were disposable & the older they get the more likely a man would trade them in for younger girls. Once Amy found out about his affair she felt disposed of and she made this plan. Nick isn’t innocent either, Desi was forcing Amy to keep up the “cool girl” facade while keeping her in a secluded cabin, Amy is mentally unstable w/ a personality disorder probably because of her parents writing about an unrealistic version of her life. These characters are hard to root for. The only one you end up really liking is Margo.

    • @kennethhwang3425
      @kennethhwang3425 Před 2 lety +9

      @@panashe5268 It's not a matter of rooting. It's a matter of relatability. Generations of men relate to some of the most bloodthirsty criminals (fictional and otherwise). Tell me how male audiences suddenly all rallied for class division and mental health the moment a tortured killer was first billing on a featured film. They made up a whole "sigma" mindset after Bateman. They revere Gecko and Corleone. "They did what they had to do to get what they wanted", well so did Amy Dunne. She was a smart, active woman with many degrees when she met Nick, and all of sudden he dragged her into a haze of idleness and expected her to abandon her identity to cater to that lifestyle despite her level best effort to motivate him to "rise to her level" and tolerate his cheating. She might be a complete psycho, but she's a psycho he deserves. And for many married women out there who gave up their lives to support their idle spouses, that's something to relate.

    • @TheSofkujepanen
      @TheSofkujepanen Před rokem +3

      @@panashe5268 it is wrong though. There is a reason teachers aren’t allowed to have relations with their students, and the reason is the power imbalance. The same goes for boss- employee relationships. So it doesn’t matter that they’re both legal aged, it’s still predatory and wrong.

    You should know your own blood type and the blood type of your loved ones whom you may have to provide medical data for. If you or they need a blood transfusion and don't know, the hospital will have to use O- blood but there's always a shortage of that type (because everyone can use it) so if someone like me who is O- & actually NEEDS that type gets hurt, the hospital may not have enough. It's irresponsible to not know your blood type.

    Ben Affleck is such an amazing actor. Even directing. I know he had some troubles over the years but his work is so fantastic. I’m never disappointed with anything he does. My first celebrity crush and still is.

    This is probably the most f*****-up movie at to watch on the channel I mean I could imagine that after describing this movie that you had to do to your friends for channel you probably don't describe it that much after this video came out

    I love this movie and they are SO messed up. I mean...urgh. 😐 Certainly leaves an impression. Ok, maybe they weren't as messed up as the couple in The War of the Roses but, eeee. 😎

    When I watched this, I was really rooting for Amy.. Maybe I'm a psycho too. Lol. I know Amy really went too far but honestly they both deserve each other. Both fckd up people. I just really hate cheaters, been manipulated and cheated on twice, in the past two relationships, *fortunately enough* I didn't have thoughts of revenge, just walked away from them..

      I was not rooting for her. Ever. I may have felt some sadness for her when she went to surprise Nick and she saw him with the student. But to go to such an extent as to frame your husband, kill a man, go back and use his child as a weapon against him. It's horrific. He wronged her but she cruelly destroyed him and everyone around him. She is despicable and unlikeable with zero redeeming traits.
