Thats very true but they probably would've had to reshoot too many scenes and the studio is already worried the movie is gonna bomb and didn't want to invest another 80 million on top of their losses. I'm sure there were many long meetings about replacing her but they decided to just write it off as a tax write off in the end. F

I started watching “Monarch, Legacy of Monsters” with my 9 years old son who is a huge fan of the whole Godzilla Universe. Everything was fine, typical show teasing you and showing Godzilla just a few seconds at the end, no problem, some very small woke moments here and there but nothing serious… until last night, when we watched episode 5. Not only they didn’t show any monsters at all (that’s pretty much all my son wants to see, the drama is pretty boring for him (and most of the time for me as well) but they made sure to show us how lesbian is one of the main characters who teaches in a middle school COVER by rainbows and pride messages, lots of her making out with her girlfriend or having an awkward “one night stand” with another chick… anyways, no more “Monarch, Legacy of Wokeness” for me and my son. Thank you and I hope you talk about this show.

Well, (1) because it would look bad, (2) because it would mean admitting that they were wrong, and (3) because they believe they’re on the “right” side of history and they have some social and moral obligation to lecture the audience and tell them that they’re the ones that are wrong

That article bugs me. They did figure out streaming services, they just refuse to accept they ALL can't have one. Streaming worked perfectly fine with Netflix and Hulu competing for content but overall having a large portion of it. Now we're in the same situation that made piracy huge in the 00-2010, too much content, too spread out and they new stuff they add is just filler. Worse, its bad, cult-narrative laden filler.

We can only wish. But this disaster goes way higher than Hollywood studios. BlackRock, which has over $20 trillion under management, is pushing this woke messaging on studios, and after years of flops they're going harder than ever. This phenomenon is more important than profit margins. It's about social engineering and when these people have access to essentially limitless financing it seems like box office flops aren't the main concern. It stems from a much larger and more nefarious agenda. The studios will keep eating the losses until our generations are irrelevant and this kind of cinematic gargabe will be the only thing younger generations will have, and it will become completely normalized and accepted. Unfortunately the ruling class plan long term and eventually "woke" will have lost all meaning and these movies will just be what people have grown up on and they will be trained to love them. In 25 years we'll be the old guys saying, "back in my day......" as the new generations look at 90s movies the way many current movie goers look back at movies from the black and white Hollywood era. Even though true movie fans know there are classics from that era, the average person can't name one. This is about so much more than movies, it's one aspect of a massive cultural shift.
They have learned nothing. Watch out for the X-File "reboot", even Agatha Christie isn't safe from the woke.
My guess is that the new X Files will be a prequel set in the early 60’s so that they have lots of racism material and make the new protagonist better and smarter than Mulder.

Takes about a decade for them to right their ship because they are fuckin slow morons. The same thing that happened to comic book shops is happening to movie theaters. Hollywood is pumping out garbage that nobody is watching so theaters are closing all over the country. Soon there won't be enough left to sustain movie studios and it will turn into a death spiral. Sucks for the local, privately owned, theaters.
They can survive on reruns of old movies. I spent $50 at my local cinema, a small, one-screen theater. The theater was over half full, to watch Home Alone.

Lucas's film, for example, The Mouse, didn't want to pay George twice because everything in the first 6 films has been trademarked. That is why you had new everything in those last ones.
The writers have fewer studios to go to, and this is all based on greed and a lack of creativity,
But most importantly, it may be why Dune (part 2) has been pushed back to make 2024 books look better.

Just watched Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels again this evening. Still fresh ,funny and relivant after 25 years. I'm sure Hollywood cauld start producing exciting entertainment again if they dropped THE MESSAGE and returned to producing films that people would actuallly go and watch.
