- This is my 1989 Honda Pilot. This one has a 670cc 2 stroke snowmobile engine from a skidoo mxz. it's rated around 115 hp. it is significantly faster than stock. please like and subscribe!

Very cool and well done conversion. I owned a pilot for a bit and it was a super fun machine. Always liked the hand controls which were unique to this machine and no other manufacturer has built.

Wow man, nice work! 👏 i always wanted an Fl400. Looked fun. But out here on the East coast they were rare to find and super pricey. I do have a mint 85 XL600R... 😊 love them old hondas.
They are definitely hard to find and the ones in good shape people don't like to let go of.
nice! i have a clean pilot 400 in storage for many years now, keep saying im going to swap in a late model snowmobile 2 stroke at some point.
You need two of them. If it's really clean keep that one stock and find a rougher one to swap the motor on.

I have a really clean all stock one too. Stock they are still very fun and plenty of power

How are these engines at low speed power? I have a two-seat buggy that I am tempted to put one of these engines in. A lot of the trails I ride on are really Rocky and I would want to be able to do high-speed then low speeds. I'm looking at putting a high low reverse gearbox out of a Polaris in it
These have a ton of torque. They do just fine at slow speeds
I remember when the odyssey came out, then the pilot was super trick! Now those nameplates are given to a minivan and a suv, how sad.
I know. Honda was so ahead of its time with the odyssey and pilot.
Why do northern people say Ski correctly but not Skidoo
If you own a skidoo it's pronounced differently, kind of like Porsche

That's just so non snowmobilers can understand. If you are in the snowmobile community, it's pronounced differently.
Hahaha!!!! Correct!!! If I ski, ⛷️ then I ski. If I snowmobile and it's on a SkiDoo, then I Ska-doo!!! Haha!!! Perfect!!!
