    I always wanted one of these growing up! My rich neighbors had 2 they rode around their fenced in yard! I road warriors and banshee’s at the time and swapped out with them sometimes. These was the side by sides of the 90’s.

    It's been a number of years now, but I swapped an Arctic Cat ZR600EFI into one of ours. The EFI was so nice. I played with the stock Arctic Cat clutching some and made it better, but as is the stock setup worked great. Wheelies were easy enough if the traction was there.

      Yeah the efi would be ideal. If I'd start from scratch I think I'd use an arctic cat f7 engine. I think the configuration of those engines would work really well.

      Follow along. I have some more videos coming. Later this day we got into a lot of mud and water with them.

    You should consider locating an EFI snowmobile engine. Those Pilots were really something back in the day. Never owned or got the opportunity to ride one but they looked damn fun then and now still.

      Yeah that would be very desirable. I think an arctic cat f7 or 8 would be a really good motor for one with the way those are configured

    Just watched an earlier video of yours (walk-around, wheelie in oarking lot) and it was running much better....was that a lot cooler outdoor temperatures?

    • @CKPowersports
      @CKPowersports  Před 23 dny

      Yeah. It seems to run much better when the motor is still cold. In the sand it really bogged off the line. I need to take time and mess with the carbs. It definitely felt really rich in the sand.

      I know. It was very unfortunate. Stay tuned I'll have a video fixing it.

      I think I'm fighting more carb issues on it. It was really boggy in the mid range. I definitely need to do some tuning on it. The 670 felt about the same power as the 400

      @@CKPowersports Them there snowmachines are jetted way fat for cold weather like 0 deg to 35 deg F. you may need to do some more jet changes till you get her right for the warm less dense air .....maybe need to ck with the guys that drag race sleds on pavement in summer and get the right carb setup for the hot air temps.....i would guess 3 to 4 jet sizes smaller....

    • @CKPowersports
      @CKPowersports  Před měsícem

      @crashalexander7232 this one actually has jetski carbs on it. The stock snowmobile carbs don't fit well in the area. On hard pack it runs great but in the sand or mud it really wanted to bog off the line.

      I am a lifelong wheelchair user. I was born with a brittle bone condition called osteogenesis imperfecta. I’m only 3‘6“ tall so we had to add additional cushions and padding so I could see to drive better. A friend of mine had two of these and we took them out to Silverlake Sandunes on the West Coast of Michigan. Never driven one before never even saw one before until that day. He offered me the opportunity to drive one, and I was a little scared about doing it because of my bone condition But I gave it a try. And I love it! Love the driving controls on them. Made it very easy for me to drive. Didn’t require any special adaptations other than like I said, some more padding on the bottom and back side of me to get me closer to the driving yoke.

      @scottbecker3563 that's really cool. The odyssey and pilot are pretty unique with the hard controls. They were very far ahead of their time back then. I actually just sold an odyssey to somebody about 2 weeks ago that was paralyzed.
