Just a little correction to make it a little worse, the reason the shannan was reported missing is because she was supposed to have a doctors appointment to check up on her unborn child
he literally said "pregnant wife"
F RNG are you stupid?
Only comes to show how disconnected he was from Shannan. How does he not know his wife has a doctors appointment. He made so many mistakes that it blows my mind he would think he could get away with it and start over like nothing happened??? Hes completely narcissistic and illogical
Yes these guys arnt telling it right
Come on go watch u tubes ur clueless
The girls were actually taken to the job site alive. They were sitting in the back seat with their dead mother at their feet. Such a sad story...
@@emilypage959 in his confession from jail he says it was at the job site. You can find the 2hur interview here on yt.
Emily Page he killed them in his truck outside the tanks so they were still soft .
He suffocated them in their beds, but they didn't die. He thought they were dead. Then he went to Shannan, no doubt he told her that the kids were dead as he strangled her, then the noise of him dragging her body down the stairs woke up the kids. He might also have been listening to loud triumphant music. The kids woke up and he was angry that they were alive. They were crying, and their faces were bruised from the attempted suffocation. And then he put them in the car, no car seats, with their mom dead at their feet. He packed himself a lunch, but nothing for the kids. He already knew he was going to kill them (again). The drive is about 45 minutes, at about 5 in the morning, the kids sleeping and crying off and on, and trying to comfort each other. Then they get there, and he kills the littlest one first, and then Bella said "is that going to happen to me?" and he didn't answer her, he just killed her. She fought back pretty hard but she was only 4. Then he dumped them in two different oil batteries, because he was worried they'd wake up again and figured if they did wake up they'd drown in the oil, alone in the cold darkness. And then he dumped Shannan upside down in a ditch, with her butt in the air, and was so angry at her that he didn't even rearrange her into a more dignified position. Then he got in his car and listened to the song "Battery" by Metallica and looked up the lyrics on his phone. Then he called Bella's school and said she wouldn't be coming in, and he called a real estate agent about listing the house. This is all from his interviews after the fact, and is consistent with the autopsy findings. I watched a few documentaries about this. If you're interested in more, check out the "live abuse free" youtube channel, in which a therapist provides a brilliant analysis on why Chris did what he did. Gave me some peace because it helped me understand and not feel like literally anyone could snap and kill ME at any point. There's also a LOT going on with how awful Chris's mother is -- maybe just as evil, just more in touch with social norms and not likely to actually murder someone with her hands. But someone who might deliberately give peanuts to a tiny child who is allergic to peanuts. Even if that child is her granddaughter.
Emily Page he did . But the girls woke up and he then took them to the oil site and suffocated them again.
Emily Page youâre the one who wanted to make a wrong correction. It actually does matter that those girls had to sit in a truck with their dead mother before they died. Those details are important. It establishes the premeditated nature of the murders.
the irony of âhappy hourâđ
That's the point lol

The best part was the neighbours face,

Yes a rewatched that footage and the neighbour knew heâd done it from his body language in seconds. If you watch it again the neighbour doesnât take his eyes off Chris Watts once, he knew instantly heâs done it.

itâs horrible to think that the little girl said âis that now gonna happen to meâ it breaks my heart. it just goes to show how innocent kids are.
Had to have two attempts with one of them too
I was truly obsessed with this case when it first happened. Watching every video on it just trying to understand why what seemed like this perfect family man done what he did and the motives behind it. Glad you covered this however a little more research would have been worth your while. It was Shannon's best friend Nicole that raised the alarm after she was meant to meet her for a hospital appt. Nicole being aware that was very unlike Shannon to miss it. In fact only for her sticking to her gut feeling of something not feeling right Chris would have been able to come home and dispose of her handbag and phone (which he hid down the sofa and Nicole's son finds it during one of the clips). The freakiest thing was when they were watching the CCTV footage in the neighbours house and one of the adverts is of a skull being covered in oil. Basically telling everyone exactly what happened. Another advert was also related to pregnancy which Chris spotted and only then remembered to tell police that his wife was pregnant. In regards to the murders, he murdered Shannon in their bed, rolled her up in a bedsheet and put her in his work truck. He didn't however murder his girls until they arrived at the work site and he'd buried Shannon's body. Horrific. He also failed his lie detector and then after hours of interrogation and him not yet confessing the detectives bring in his father to which he then confesses. The woman doing the lie detector was incredible at her job. Joking with Chris, laughing at his comments, making him feel really relaxed and comfortable and telling him what he wants to hear. Amazing. This will most definitely be a documentary and story we hear about in years to come.
Forgot about the skull and oil. Then the pregnancy ad that he sees and reacts too!
Insane, Thereâs something at work there, gave me chills
Me too absolutely obsessed with this case!! Xxx
Theyâre making a lifetime movie about it all! Xxxx
It's a bit mad u became obsessed with it and you still don't know Shananns name

Agreed it played on my mind alot after watching that I wish I never watched it
@@nathancrittenden8525 same. Couldnât sleep properly for weeks if not more
Iâm never emotional but even that documentary made me emotional just thinking of what the girls and his wife went throughđ
Itâs not even the full story...while Netflix documentary was informative, it cut out a lot.
Worst thing is that the older daughter saw her sister suffocated in front of her while still buckled into the car and then tried to escape and the dad reappeared and begged the father not to do the same to her apparently. According to interviews on Dr Phil, however, may be inaccurate. Either way, terrible meaningless tragedy
How would anyone know this tho
@@benhardcastle2305 He has admitted it before in his FBI interview tapes (after already imprisoned)
@@benhardcastle2305 there is a netflix documentary on it and it is very helpful to understand this case!
I think I cried more for his wife and kids than Chris did :(
I think most people did. Very sad.
I cried for for Shananns father.
Same here
Kids had their own rooms. He didnt suffocate them there. He loaded his wife's dead body onto the floorboards of his truck & had his kids sit in the back bench seat & ride to his job site with their dead mother under their feet. It was a 45 minute drive to his job site where he smothered them each with their security blankets. The youngest, Celeste first. Then Bella, who said to her father "please dont do to me what you did to CeCe" Chris Watts is a monster.
I've got a little girl myself and when you said the girl asked 'Is that gonna happen to me' to her own dad I swear i nearly fainted wow
Itâs also shocking how recent his murders were! 13th August 2018!
My family was watching the news broadcast when he was being interviewed about the murders and we were saying to each other âThis guy doesnât sound right at all, thereâs something offâ and then within the next couple of days heâs being arrested. It was absolutely insane. The police gopro footage is chilling.
8:48. Didnât he kill Shannon then The oldest girl walked in and went âwhatâs wrong with momâ and he said to her âoh mom is feeling a bit ill we need to take her to the hospitalâ so he put Shannon in the car put garbage bags over her The girls got into the car and he buried her and then I think he took the youngest one out killed her and with the blanket that they used to carry around and then he walked up to the oldest and the oldest girl said âare you going to do what you did to sissy to meâ and he said absolutely nothing and killed her
Or at least to my understanding thatâs what happened
Yes that is unfortunately what happened đąđĄ
In the Netflix documentary Chris said that Bellaâs last words were daddy no
I remember watching the police body cam footage. I canât even imagine what those poor girls felt knowing that one of the people who is supposed to protect them from the evil in the world was that person who hurt them the most. Heart breaking
Whos here after watching the Netflix program
I think the scariest thing about the chris watts case is the fact that u can spend so much of your life with someone, see every intimate detail, love them so much (as you can see from her texts) and yet they can still turn around after 8 years and just kill u and the kids with no previous signs of this??
Remember this is a big one off case. I know it's easy to say people can do this, but just think about how many have. Not many.
Love this style of podcast. Just so you know I listen to your podcast everyday on my travel to school! You help me escape awkward convosation on the bus, so thank you!

Love that you guys covered this
Hey some of these facts are wrong.
It was her friend who noticed she was missing as she called round to find out how her doctors appointment went. Theyâd been away on business the weekend before and while she was away theyâd discussed a divorce. There is door cam footage of her arriving home and then none of them leaving.
And Chris killed the girls in the car after burying Shannan. He kills CeCe first and then Bella the eldest asked if he was going to do that to her too.

Bruh cinema sins is a comedy
Been watching hella documentaries on this topic and itâs mad
How have I not heard about this case đ¶. This is so horrific đ„șxx
The worst detail of this case to me was the fact that the two little girls were still alive when he drove them to the oil tanks with their dead mother in the car. Even worse, the older one had to watch her dad suffocate her younger sister and then asked if he was going to do the same thing to her.
the video documentary of the whole case is mad
I think one of the most facinating things about this case is seeing it all unravel infront of you via cam. From the day they knock on his door, to his sentencing in court. You can see someone spend their last few days, and ultimately hours of freedom. I would love to have known what was going through his head the whole time.
One of the grandmas of the two girls (think it was Shannanâs mum) said at the trial that the oldest girl, Bella, used to sing a song along the lines of âDaddy is my heroâ. That always gets me đąđą
Can't believe it's already been a year.

Itâs preset
The motive was exactly the opposite of what yâall said. He killed his family to start over and have a new life. Itâs absolutely disgusting that he threw out his whole family like trash. In the documentary, you can pretty much piece together the true motive. He wanted to go out with his side piece and have a brand new life with no kids, child support or ex-wife.
ALSO an extra thing to happen in this case is that a lot of people online blamed Shannon(I know this isnât the right spelling but I canât remember how to spell it) which is so disgusting that people blamed her for his crimes!
I love when the neighbor shows the footage on the cameras and Chris was like fuck I'm done for here
A lot of details aren't quite correct but I really enjoyed your discussion. What a lovely bunch of lads.
they really should be getting their facts straight before talking about something like this, as much as I like them.
@@januarybaby1063 Why? They aren't instigating or creating a report. Are you saying everytime you talk on a subject to people, you research that beforehand and get all the facts? No. You don't.

This makes me so sad man đ
It's liked they filmed this based off a very summarized article they read on Facebook. With tons of errors.
Destinie Jean ok I thought it was just me. They know nothing about the story
I count about a dozen errors already, just 2 and a half minutes in. if you're making a video about murdered children for clicks, at least make the effort to get some of it correct.
He says multiple times in the podcast heâs reading it off wikipedia, and that there are probably errors...
They never claimed to have the story 100% correct, the podcast isnât an informative one. Itâs like sitting down with your friends and telling them about a story you saw on the news a few days prior, youâre not gonna go out of your way to have every single detail factually correct.
This wasn't supposed to be informative regarding the case, but it was to talk about it like you would with friends, trying to get in the mindset of a murderer to understand.
Whyâs there no more full podcasts on here anymore?
I haven't seen the whole podcast so not sure if there's further discussion on this topic, did you cover the strange paranormal events that happened at the house? Police are searching the house and heard a child's voice for example!
Where did the bedroom smothering "is that gonna happen to me" thing come from? Those children seemed to be treated quite badly from looking at the IG livestreams.
You guys got it wrong: he is not a serial killer. He is just a SOB who wanted to start a new life with his mistress.
I recommend Jim cant Swims series on this
they should talk about more cases like this
Interesting chat
The reason why Chris tried to blame his wife because after he failed the lie detector test, the detectives baited him into a confession and took it when they asked âDid SHE do something to the girls?â So he went with it because since his mother always hated Shannann so he knew his family would believe it.
The motive was he wanted to get rid of his current life so he could start a new life with his new girlfriend (the one he was having an affair with), there was texts they found on his phone about wanting to start a new life etc
Yes they mentioned that
If he wanted to start a new life with his mistress and thought the path to that was to commit three murders, then heâs mind bogglingly stupid. If he wanted out of the marriage he had a woman on the side to go to. By doing his demented deeds he ended up with neither option. What a moron.
Netflix needs more of these murder documentaries
Thereâs a Netflix documentary coming out on the 30th Iâm definitely going to watch it
Pretty sure just before the police come back into the room Chris's dad says something to Chris where he tries to come up with a plan to make chris look innocent but the police catch on to it and quickly come back into the room before its discussed further
I think that was when the dad mentions getting a lawyer so the police rush back in to change the subject
How you get so many things wrong when there is so much information available..đ
Mikaela all the information is different on the internet.
Itâs embarrassing honestly.
Thank you!!!!
Can you link yours sources in the description for us to check out?
i feel as though Chrisâ grandparents said they would still support Chris is because from their perspective, theyâve already lost their grandchildren, and daughter in law, and therefore donât want to loose Chris, as heâs the only thing they have left. even so, itâs strange that they would say that, I certainly wouldnât love and/or support someone if they did that in my family, but ig i can see why they would say that? im glad heâs been put away though, he never deserves to be let out.

"serial killer" has a technical definition. Watts is not a serial killer.
3 + people killed is a serial killer
