    Great video and helps a lot for sure, Thanks bro!!
    Some feedback which may be useful after i finally got round to getting this done.
    Im good at DIY and id say have another person with you, just for passing bits to you.
    The removal tool is a must and worth buying as i found out.
    I didnt know what was meant by the 'pin' in the video, to stop the fuel from leaking when the line is disconnected at first. I had under a 1/4 tank of petrol in there but it kept coming up so I needed someone to put their finger there to stop the flow.
    The way round it is to remove the small black rubber, which is covering the same bit from the NEW genuine Honda part. Its not needed for anything later and if you have that ready with a small cable tie round it, ready to be tightened - You can then simply slide it over and tighten it to stop fuel leaking out when you disconnect the line.
    Have a bucket to lift the filter into and then work on a clean surface that can have fuel spill onto it. Take your time with all the part swapping, need smallish needle nose pliers and a smaller flat head screwdriver to gently pry open some connectors.
    Finally, when you go to tighten the filter unit back into the car, there's actually a small 'arrow/pointer' marker next to the power connector on top of the filter unit, this will tell you how much to tighten the 'securing circle'. There's another arrow/pointer on the 'securing circle' which will line up with the one on top of the filter unit. The securing circle and rubber seal also came with the part from Honda. The replacement filter cost £65 from Honda. Hope this helps someone in future.

    Thanks for that as its very informative. Our Honda has only done 45,000km and after seeing your video I've decided not to do it yet. BTW the Honda manual lists this as an.0.8hour job! Wow thats an understatement.

      Thank you for your kind feedback, my videos are usually designed to give a good DIY some reference points on where to start the job. I will be making another video on my next CRV 2017 which is exactly the same as the 2013. So the 0.8 hour will be to replace the entire part which should be a breeze but Honda also sell a partial fuel filter which you have to take bits of your old one and install into the new one, which is what I have shown in my video. Once you have the right tools to open it everything will be easy. There is a strong smell of petrol in the cabin when you replace it so you need to keep the windows open . Good Luck.

      Thank you for your comment, I intend not to work under the vehicle. The oil change for Gear box and Diff need special tools. But as the jobs for Diff and Gear box is Cheap from Honda you can get it done by the dealer and save time and enjoy a coffee on the house.

    It looks like you’re just replacing the filter element which is inside the fuel pump assembly. In the US I have not seen where these parts are available separately. Would you have a Honda OEM part number for just the filter element? Thanks

    • @thespecialist786
      @thespecialist786  Před 3 měsíci

      Thank you for your comments, Yes Honda only sell the parts to replace as the main unit would cost £350 where this kit is around £90 - part number 17048T0A000. Please see below website.

    Do you need to remove the fuel fuse first before removing the fuel pump?

    • @thespecialist786
      @thespecialist786  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Thank you for watching my channel. No need to remove fuse as the connector is diconnected at the time of removal which stops power going to the pump.

    Tengo una duda, pero esa es una bomba de gasolina..!!
    Por qué bajar la bomba...?
    Sería lo mejor, si el filtro este está dentro de la bomba, cambiar toda la bomba..!?!
    se que la bomba tiene un pequeño filtro, pero ese viene con la bomba completa, esta encapsulada si no lo llegas abrir con cuidado rompes los pasadores de la bomba!!
    El filtro de la gasolina viene debajo de auto!!!

      @@thespecialist786 thank you. Honda want £195 to replace this. Is it worth doing? When I last went to the parts dept they said if you’re not getting any issues I wouldn’t worry about it. It has 70K on the clock

    • @thespecialist786
      @thespecialist786  Před rokem +1

      @@RationalCreed keep a close eye on your fuel consumtion because after changing it you will notice the car will give you slightly better mileage. 70k sounds the right time to change it. Fuel filter has to go go really bad for your to not to start. If your good with DIY then do it else take it to a service centre. Make sure to use genuine parts because only genuine parts will fit and give the correct results.
      Just remember of you do it there will be alot of petrol leak and smell in your car due to lack of training and equipment. Good luck. PS £195 including parts and it will be done while you wait sounds good.

    Correct me if I'm wrong please I think you are replacing the fuel tank pump ? Not the fuel filter which is located in the back of the engine to access it from the bottom. it is a little bit confusing??!!czcams.com/video/7UX5_PBjbP4/video.htmlfeature=shared

    • @thespecialist786
      @thespecialist786  Před 4 měsíci +2

      Thank you for your comments, Honda CRV can be confusing for some people and your thinking of Diesel Fuel filter. Petrol CRV only has one Fuel filter which is the one I have showing you. It has a low pressure petrol Fuel pump and filter 2 in 1. The link you’re sharing is DTEC which is Diesel not petrol. I am very familiar Honda CRV’s and had them since the first one was made in 1997. You can learn from generation to Generation how they changed. But the Fuel filter for petrol has not. It’s in the same place and looks the same since 1997. Please subscribe to my channel. Thank you for your comments.

    Video was almost completely useless. DID NOT SHOW removing the cap. DID NOT SHOW using the special tool. DID NOT SHOW any part of rebuilding the pump/filter. Literally EVERY SINGLE PART you NEED TO SEE was cut from the video. Other than showing WHERE the fuel pump and filter assembly is located and informing the viewer that a special tool is required, this video did not offer a single useful piece of information. OMG. You are supposed to SHOW the parts where you disassemble and reassemble. Not do a video cut over all the parts where you actually have to do something. This video literally enraged me.
