Earthbound takes place in 199X whereas The whole Pikmin series is set long After the extinction of all Humans. And is roughly set around the Pangea Ultima theory. So even if they were the same universe, Everyone would be Long Dead by Pikmin 1.

I love that you fit the holy grail in to the components scene I couldn't stop laughing for a minute.

This is another star trek reference: while we had some clips of Picard, the chef in little mermaid was voiced by the late Renee Auberjonois who played Constable Odo in Deep Space 9 (the best star trek)

2.) DS9 is absolutely the best Star Trek. Sisko is the best captain (and before purists get their gold uniforms in a knot, Picard is the best character, and there is a difference).
The split second easter eggs are on point this episode, all of them fit the theme. Gotta love Buck Bumble during the post credits scene.
