At her request, you and your shy vampire are taking things slow, but gods, every date you go on is better than the last. You were already crazy for her when you asked her out, but now? You'd do almost anything to be graced with those rare, precious smiles. As time goes on, she seems to be opening up, and you suspect that she'll soon be ready to tell you more about her past. Sure enough, it seems tonight will be the night. But what she's about to reveal is nothing like you expected. Can you accept the truth? And if you do, can you convince her to believe it?

Nightshade's notes: These days, we take for granted that vampires are attractive. It's like their whole thing. But I think we forget that the popular conception of vampires as, well, hot, is really a product of the last 30 years or so. Bram Stoker's Dracula could make himself young and handsome, yes, but the novel really doesn't let you forget that he's a vicious monster. From what I understand, many early fans of Anne Rice's Interview With a Vampire got the side-eye. Sympathizing with monsters, making them pretty? So weird! But then vampire romance became a whole genre, and now vampires and sexiness go hand in hand.
This series is meant to take place in a world that never underwent that change. This world never stopped viewing vampires as monsters, despite - or perhaps because of - the fact that vampires are real. To me, in many ways, that feels true to human nature. It takes us a long time to accept beings that are different, and fear is a very strong motivator. But we can grow, and learn, and change, and that's important to remember, too.
There are so many things I could say here. About abuse, about addiction, about hating yourself for things you can't control. About knowing there must be a better way... and failing to find it. About forgiving yourself. About trusting, and letting yourself be trusted. So, so many things.
But I think maybe I said them better in the script than I can say them here. I hope you think I did. But if not... perhaps that will become fuel for the next script.

I remember the last episode stated that blood donations came out around the 60s. A vampire with a n*rcotic bite would've been highly sought after during that time. As for her husband, well, some people just don't know how to appreciate what they have. Cool audio my Queen! LOVED IT!!!😊💚👍
I recently done some roleplay with a girl who was unfortunately into f*nt, she didn’t have narcotic bite but smoke it and kissed me, and it knocked me on my ass then bite lol, was alot fun but glad she’s doing better maybe we can listen to this vid together instead

You portrayed this character so well. I could feel how sad the character was dwelling on the past, and if she could have done something different. There was so much determination to not let the past repeat itself. I am glad though she was able to trust the listener with her story. ❤️

I saw this pop up and I was sooooo excited! This is my absolute favorite story you tell. The way you bring so much life and emotion the characters and pull the listener in. I cant help but respond out loud because I feel like Im having a real conversation. You really put your heart into writing this series. I tear up everytime I listen to these and I luv it.❤ I hope we get many more.

Oh, God, the heartache. I feel it. This is why I can't read Battle Ground, every time I do, I'm actually capable of feeling sadness for the rest of the day. But damn, has she been hurt, and damn, do I feel the need to make her feel better.
So, the actual bite... _probably_ a really bad idea, with this one. On the other hand, if she were to take the bite - one singular bite, no more, not getting addicted - that might be a really good way of showing her that she _isn't_ a monster, that she _isn't_ terrifying, that she _can_ be worthy of love. Yes?
Hehe... well, my first thought is, you might not be in a proper state to make your point *after* the bite, and I can imagine it triggering flashbacks... BUT... no, I gotta stop there because I don't want to accidentally spoil any of my future plans. Stay tuned for more!!
A very depressing backstory I can understand why she is afraid to love someone.
but in a lighter tone is she wealthy ? beacause if her saliva is this strong we can use it to make analgesic like morphine. Hostpital will pay a fortune to this infinite supply.

Queen...Is there any hope of another story? 🙏 Your original take and plot makes it really hard not to want an outcome of where it all goes. 😊 Having a Sister who's an author we talk for hours about good concepts, plots and writing. Your original take on the Vampire genre is refreshing, enjoyable and compelling. Please keep it up and consider starting to broaden your potential stories for novelization or even graphic novels.
Of course there will be more! I've set the stage in this part for what I've got planned for part 4! I don't know about novelization or graphic novels... I'm very happy with what I'm creating here and the format I'm using. But thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad you enjoy my work!
