Why You Need to Watch Atalanta: The Most Entertaining Football in Italy… & Europe?
Atalanta have been setting the Serie A and Europe alight with their goalscoring exploits, having hit 7 goals past opponents on numerous occasions. They’ve outscored the rest of the league, and with Gian Piero Gasperini leading, their potential is outstanding. They play the most entertaining football in Italy, and maybe even Europe at large, as seen when Atalanta qualified for the Champions League.

There will never be a 0-0 in an Atalanta match

Whoever bet already suffered with 30 shots and 0x0 last season LOL

That was just as painful as it was hilarious.

Check Sassuolo. All ther matches are over 3 goals. And in last 10 matches 5 of them were over 5-6 goals :D
Bergamo is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to, the old town at the top of the hill is enough reason to go let alone now with Atalanta
Bergamo was one of the most involved Italian cities in Covid pandemia
Alfonso Cenci and now?
OMG yes the old town 'Citta' Alta' is so so so charming
@@CodyMapping now it's under control, but yea Bergamo was the italian city with the most deaths
@@fcp536 se sei di Bergamo, tanto rispetto! Vi siamo vicini, anche ora che le acque sembrano essersi calmate.
And one of the hidden gem of Atalanta is Malinovskiy, who almost always when on peach shows outstanding performance.
That guy has a ROCKET 🚀 OF A LEFT FOOT
@@anthonymammoliti1533 he is equally gifted with both feet, strikes like Greenwood
They also have a great academy, surprised no mention of that
Surprised? This guy cannot even pronounce the name of the club... Shows that they never actually watched Atalanta before the hype was well underway.

@@wildzwaan well, this is only the second season they've performed good to attract attention. Why would people keep tabs on a team who was never in the top half and always had a huge history of relegation?
Not even 5% of barca or real Madrid fans are Spanish. Yet, they watch the league. So do you really need to know Spanish to watch the league?
If Atalanta could've gained some new fans due to their style of play and a success story, then what's your problem?

Atalanta ideology in one phrase: 5-4 is better then 1-0
why you should watch... Atalanta vs PSG in the Champions' League
People dismiss Atalanta in this matchup against PSG... but I think they're reaaaally underestimating them... Atalanta can beat anyone and at the same time can lose to anyone... that's why they're so entertaining to watch... but don't count them out... who says they won't score 4 on the heads of those PSG diva superstars??? A team that is as crazy as Atalanta should never ever EVER be counted out... and honestly, the fact that PSG plays on the french league and hasn't played against a team half as good as Atalanta in their league all year really hurts them... League 1 is a joke for PSG and that hurts them in the CL cause they are not prepared for those very very hard games...
Anyway... I have been supporting Atalanta in the CL like crazy this year... wanted them to do good and they've exceeded all expectations already... in the matches against Valencia I was watching them with my dad and he wanted to go back and forth to watch the other match that was playing at the same time too and I kept switching the channel back to Atalanta - Valencia, so he asked me "why are you so obsessed with this game?" and I answered simply "cause Atalanta is the best, most fun damn team in this competition!!!"
Really hope they have their best games ever in this continuation of CL!!!

Gosens is an incredibly underrated player and Ilicic reminds me off classic strikers.
Future German international!
If he isn't snatched away by the Netherlands. He has two passports after all.
don't trust what you see, atalanta is like klopp's Liverpool, the system makes the players, all of those that were sold through the years have become a flop in other teams.
@@alessiofe Yes, because other teams aren't so cooperative and have different vision of the game. In Atalante there aren't famous champions, but all the guys work hard for the same goal. Here we haven't "Primedonne" or "statuine" :-)
that s exactly the best quality of gasperini,he improves every player playing w him
Is just OUR Team, and players embrace the spirit. Hardwork, sacrifice, love for the game. Not for all...Players like Cornelius,Barrow, Kessie, Kjaer, Ibanez, really good, can't Reach the standards required on field and out field.Trainings are very, very hard and demanding is very high. Beati voi da juventino, vi auguro di vincere molto perché ve lo meritate davvero
their goals arent just from attackers, Robin Gosens who is a wingback so technically kinda a defender has 9 goals already thise season, thats unheard of!

Proud of my compatriots Hateboer, De Roon and Gosens (Gosens is half-Dutch/German and he started in the Dutch leagues).
They really know how to find talent in the Eredivisie and Belgian Jupiler League (Castagne, Malinovskyi and Czyborra)
I was getting bored until you dropped this 💣.
Juve fan here, but Atalanta is exciting to watch. When I found out that Ilicic is a midfielder, then I was like "Wow, I'm rooting for this guy."
Hahahah typical Juventino who knows nothing about calcio, just roots for the richest team that throws capital on the field.

I watched juve vs Atlanta match last night. The first 20 mins, Atlanta humiliated juve
Honestly, Juve is not that good this year... also Sarri is a joke of a coach for a club like Juve... he sucked at Chelsea and he sucks at Juve... their ball movement is tragically slow, Ronaldo is expected to save them every time, they have very few good off ball runs... juve is winning the championship just cause no one can match the individual talents of their players... not cause they're a good team... if the same players of Juve played a system like Gasperini's they would score 5 goals a game, no contest... lol
Juve post covid sucked hard. The only team that beat em at their peak of this year was Lazio. Im sad noone ever talked about that. Juve was undefeated till december, when Lazio beat em twice in 2 weeks (serie A match and during supercoppa italiana final)
They're currently at 80 goals (16 more than any other team).
And now 87! (19 more than any other team)
@@sergioradeglia5616 93 and counting
Yes because other teams when reach scores like 3-0 slow down instead of keep punish the opponent to bigger humiliations

Being a Juve fan, I have watched Atalanta’s games with more excitement than Juventus. They are really a delight to watch.
Had the Atalanta owners been like Watfords owners, Atlanata would probably be stuck halfway down Serie B while Gasperini would be searching for a job
Fun Fact: Watford's owner is the same one of Udinese which had a couple of great seasons some years ago, finishing top 4 with their Di Natale-Sanchez duo. After selling their stars every year they have fallen a lot tho, and now they're fighting to avoid relegation
Atalanta sells its best players (conti, caldara, kessiè, mancini, gagliardini, Barrow, kulusevski). They are good in finding talents at a low price.
Pozz family does a good job sometimes. Yeah, Watford Udinese and Granada are not top tier clubs in their divisions, but they always find some great talents they manage to sell at a quite good price.
@@paolofu2507 Yeah, but now Caldara is again at Bergamo and Barrow is on lean.

They are very impressive. I am an ac milan fan... last season when they qualified for the UCL I was very pissed off, and i was sure they wouldnt have passed the Group stage. I was totally wrong. They never give up and they play a wondeful football. I would not be surprised if they win ucl
I'd like to see Gomez play alongside Messi for Argentina, imagine ...I know they play very similar roles for their respective teams but I'm sure it could work
Definitely worth a try...Lionel and Papu Gomez 🔥
Dybala on the right Messi at CAM and Gomez on the left with Lautaro up front. Deadly attack. It’s the defense that lets them down man. Lo Celso and Parades/Banega at CDM with Tagliafico and Bustos as full backs. It’s literally just the center backs and the keeper that are average. Unfortunate. Hope they find the spark before the World Cup I really wanna see Leo Lift it before the curtain calls
Definitely along with Lazio are the most exciting team in the Serie A. They can never disappoint even in defeat. I honestly hope Atalanta challenge for the Serie A title in the future.
Lazio only played good thanks to tons of penalties and Immobile, now lost 3-0 against AC Milan
Lotito = mala della magliana
Immobile = ignobile
Lmao Lazio pre covid was umbeatable and defeated every single team they were matching against (Lazio beated the undefeated juventus twice in 2 weeks in december)
People downplaying by saying "It was only tx to penalties" are simply delusional blind haters ffs
As a Atalanta fan from Australia i have always watched them ever since I was a kid through relegation and promotion and now champions league. I must say what Gasperini has brought to this club is amazing I never would of thought this would ever happened. Going back 4 years ago we were regarded as a selling club the youth academy has always been known as one of the best in the world in fact they sold Kuluveski straight from there youth academy for several millions to Parma because he was a up and coming rising star without even hitting the big stage. The big clubs use to swamp in on all the talent that they produce but now they are holding on to there top players and by the looks selling player's that they unfortunately don't have room for in the side ie youth player's
. This Atalanta side is great to watch and I hope they keep this up for many years to come. I also wouldn't mind seeing this team playing at the top with there whole stadium renovated would be a great atmosphere. P.S Milinoski should of also got a mention another great scouted player that has highly improved since come to La Dea .

Thanks for this video Adrian. Atalanta is really an amazing team to watch! I support them since 30 years and I never, never saw them perform like they do now.
Thanks for the recommendation. I just watched Atalanta-Lazio today, and the are the team to watch in Serie A. Very entertaining football!
Thanks a lot for this video!

Lazio vs Atalanta was an epic game today!
I really loved this video 🖤 You're great at this 😍!

Another roots of rivalry video source!
hope that atalanta manages to beat psg
You and me both... PSG are an annoying club as it is... they keep buying stars and never make anything good out of them... Atalanta as a TEAM they are 100 times the team PSG is or ever was... all that separates them is individual talent... I just hope Atalanta has one of those monster games of theirs against PSG where they make big chance after big chance and they don't miss as many as they sometimes do.... if they start scoring against PSG they can really make them nervous and destroy them cause for a giant like PSG to go out to that tiny Atalanta would be such an embarrassment...
Sport School omg i hope that happens, I hate psg so much
The CROCODILE they sadly lost to you. But for me I expected it.
Can you do a similar video on FC Nordsjælland from Denmark. I know it isn't the best of leagues, but FCN play exciting offensive football, and has fielded the youngest starting eleven (on average) this year
Their accademy is probably one of the best in Europe
I remember buying Mario Pasalić on FIFA, but not using him much. It's great to see that he's doing well with Atalanta at the moment!
Good shit
0:58 DLS 2018 caught my attention, had Ilicic in my team
Edit: still have him in the team, but no longer playing the game
Speaking about serie a alone, I think that also Hellas Verona this season should have a mention as really entertaining team, especially since everyone was considering him as the weakest team of serie a at the start of the season.
that’s a lie , they are not that good tbh
@@Iwouldmarrymyself Juric (verona's manager) was a key player in Gasperini's Genoa of 2008/09, he learnt a lot from Gasperini
And sassuolo currently.
Yeah Atalanta is amazing but lets not forget Sassuolo and Verona. Parma was pretty decent too.
To be honest, this Serie A offers a lot of quality attacks! Bologna, Atalanta, Sassuolo, Lazio, early season's Cagliari (not that much right now), all have beautiful offensive football. I'll add Lecce to the bunch: they were just promoted from Serie B and are currently fighting relegation (I sure hope they'll stay), but Liverani makes the Team play great and highly enjoyable football, anything you'd expect to see by a newly promoted side! Hellas Verona is actually surprising everybody but they are way more ballanced and... "Slow" when compared to the rest. Team's skipper Juric used to be my least favorite Coach when he was managing Genoa: the team played horribly, hit very hard and the was very boring and frustrating to watch, but I must admit at Verona he's doing things differently and getting well earned results (box-to-box midfielder Amrabat, already sold to Napoli in January, is a beast)!
I picked up on Atalanta last season when no one was paying attention to them. They were/are awesome. I am a trendsetter :P
The best is yet to come
Good video. Just drives me crazy how he mispronounces Bergamo for the whole video
english speakers are just very bad on foreign pronunciation, they barely can spell their language, let alone the pther ones XD but is not their fault, is just an historical thing... for example did you know that english used to have its own alphabet but later on they insisted on adapting the roman alphabet to english language? thats why the phonetic and spelling rules are messed up in english language, they are just using the wrong alphabet
Show that they never actually watched Atalanta before the hype was well underway.

Imagine if they had even better defenders. Holy sh’t.
Gosens one of the main atalanta's defenders is currently at 9 scored goals for this season
It's difficult to find someone who can adapt to Gasperini's tactics. In fact, Kjaer, in the beginning, was Atalanta's player, but he failed to adapt in a 3-men defense and decided to move to AC Milan, which has a "classic" defending system
@@lorenzocaliri I think Caldara scored 9 10 goals two seasons ago

I think Leipzig and Atalanta won’t depend on their top players to win the game

I was trying really hard to concentrate on the content here but I keep getting distracted by the background music. Blessed by Daniel Ceasar.
It took most people to realize who Atalanta really were until this season they’ve missed a lot of Atalanta under Gasperini and what they had to offer

It would be nice to see them go far in the UCL I love dark horse teams.
I agree, everyone should watch Atlanta starting Donald Glover and Lakeith Stanfield.
As an Inter fan I was shocked when I learned how good Atalanta’s Primavera ( youth team ) a lot of years ago. They’re been sowing those seeds for years now and I couldnt be happier for them. The quality of the players they’re bringing in from their Primavera is crazy .
Bastoni and gagliardini are from atalanta primavera
Soooooooooooo thousands of comments and very few understand the magic behind this marvellous squad.

It's that simple.
I will always support Atlanta. Great American team playing in Italy
E 3 anni che vola l Atalanta ha fatto un salto di qualità incredibile a livello di squadra società e frutto di lavoro fatto da persone competenti ormai e una certezza complimenti forza Juve
It's a coil! Attack in mass defend in mass like a spring not the boring passes of guardiola! They dare! They copped but they fires more in goals!Unbelievable team! Hate them as rivalry! But I do admire them!

I just gotta say while this is true, Milan is starting to come up there as well. At the moment I'd say we're the most modern attacking football team in the league.
Atalanta have 98 goals with 1 game left, they will definitely hit 100 goals this season & make it very very far in the champions maybe even win it
This is all good. But can they win on a rainy night in stoke?

🖤💙💪Love the team
No mention of Mario Pasalic....Last game alone the kid had 3-Goals, 1-Assist, 90% on his passing, 27 final third passes, 6 ball recoveries, and 2-more created chances. Hes the heart of this midfield and watch him become one of the most expensive players to leave that team in 2/3 years.
atalanta is essentially 17/18 liverpool mixed with 15/16 leicester
Pippo Inzaghi used to play for Atalanta for one year and became Serie A capocanieri (Top Scorer) in 1997.
*capocannonieri
90% of the team are two-footed and know how to stall an attack on the left wing and play back across the face of goal. When they get a chance to counter they finish off the move with the same acumen as lazio at the moment. They win their set pieces thru Gomez who must be fouled to stop his progress. They have a slew of free-kick specialist from varying distances. The rest had to do with correct defensive landmarking an organization. They lose to teams who have an aerial superiority. Wise $ should be spent on a dominant central defender.
Their weakest asset at the back right now is Palomino, but I suspect this has to do with the style of play Gasperini demands to his players. I'm from Bologna and a supporter of the Team, although Mihajlovic plays a crazy attacking football everybody is in love with in Town (and we beat Atalanta 2-1 at home). Both teams aren't well balanced, they are very much more prone to go forward than anything else and in returns the defence suffers. You draw quite the picture though (props to that), so I'm sure you know. That said, Palomino himself scored some goals (one in a game right after he made a decisive mistake with costed a goal), Toloi has more than one... In a three at the back formation this is very uncommon, considering most of them come from movement plays and not set pieces. It's safe to say that the vast majority of people in Italy love watching Atalanta!
3 in the back has 1 advantage there's less confusion between 3 people doing a job than 4 when a ball is played in. It dually releases an extra player to go forward. More than anything Gasperini is an excellent judge of interchangeable talent and gambles more on their attacking prowess instead of bolstering a defensive block of 4. The volume and quality of execution of passes in the final third is high. They also share the trait of having two footed attackers on the right wing scoring or recycling quickly against the grain deep in the final 3rd not unlike Barcelona. Just guessing I'd assume a lot of the success- picking up points in matches the opposition is doing everything it can to block them-has to do with the managers substitutions; although most observers get the impression that's its just been one massive steam roll job.
Does he have a steam or podcast
As a Juve fan I hope they win the CL
I hope it too and I wish you join them in the final game👍
With single elimination matches and all games played on neutral sites, we're bound to have weird results when the Champions League resumes. I wouldn't even be surprised if we end up with a Atalanta-Leipzig final.
