A New Real Madrid: Europe’s Best Defence, Unbelievable Depth & Strong Leaders
After a terrible 2018-19 season that saw Real Madrid concede more than they had in 10 years and score less than they had in nearly two decades, they are a completely different team now in the 2019-20 season. Real Madrid’s defence is on track to break their club record, Courtois is on track to break the clean sheet record, Sergio Ramos can’t stop scoring at 34 years old, and Karim Benzema is looking like the leader he promised to be. Oh, and Zinedine Zidane has managed Real Madrid’s squad beautifully, rotating and utilizing their unreal squad depth.

I genuinely think the midfield of Kroos, Casemiro, and Modric is one of the most complete midfields ever
It 100% is.
Especially with valverde coming dude is incredible I already have a jersey with his name
Dont think so... They had the big plus of ramos varane carvajal and marcelo behind and ronaldo benzema bale in Front of them... The midfield was their weakest Spot... Kroos and modric are defensively Very weak and only work because of casemiro ramos varane marcelo and carvajal behind them. Besides kroos and modric Do Not score... Like Bayerns midfielders goretzka kimmich and Müller for example who can score, run 90 mins and still Are much better defenders. Kroos and modric are lucky to be in Such a great Team. They are overrated.... Goretzka and kimmich or thiago are way better than Toni
@@tb2571 lmao modric and kroos control the whole game. The pace of it all. You know nothing about football. Even bayern thought kroos wasn't world class. And look what happened. 4 champions leagues a la Liga coming today. Show me a team that's done that.
@@rustedtooth3015 that Was Not because of kroos 😂
BAyern Won CL in 2013 while kroos was injured. Robben came in and Won the CL for Bayern against barca and Dortmund.
Real Won CL in 2014 the CL without kroos. U didnt understand what I mean. There are many more complete Players than kroos who is Just a good passer. He cant play aggressive, is a Bad defender, slow, Bad tackling, no heading... Players like kimmich and thiago are one class above... They dont have any weaknesses and are also good passers with maybe Not as good diagonal Passes but way better deadly passers. While a Player like goretzka is fast, very good scorer, strong, great heading and defending and still technical very skilled... They are All better than Toni. If u had pjanic Arthur jorgihno rakitic and so on instead of Toni, Real Madrid had still Won 3 cls in a row. It was mainly the Leaders like ronaldo casemiro ramos and outstandjng players like carvajal bale marcelo varane benzema who Made this possible
This is why Florentino Perez isn't to be underestimated. Regardless of how you feel about Ronaldo's sale, his departure forced this side to evolve and find a new identity.
100% agree. It's always better to let your superstar go a season to early before a season too late. Even though Messi is still producing great numbers Barca failed to plan without him
It’s super natural for a slump to happen like that but it only took a year to recover some teams like Man U are just now recovering with others like ac Milan unable too. When Messi leaves who knows how long it’ll take Barca to recover
It's true
100 million is also very useful for the 33 year old at the time
@@aron4117 A season early is actually an underrated way of describing ronaldo(Had atleast 3+ years at top easily). Did they get 100M of 33 year old? Yes but it could have gone so bad with no striker replacement for benzema. Real are one way fortunate because of Covid - Hazard, asensio(ruled out of season) has given zidane options in rotation. Should have sold bale instead of ronaldo IMO, but gareth is a great player no disrespect.
It's crazy how last year Real Madrid looked like it was destined to fail and Barca was going to blossom. Life is strange indeed.
Tbh thats just how football is. When a team is winning it looks like it has the best outlook/future and its players are rated better, and when its losing it looks like it has a bad future and its players are bad. But in reality its way more unpredictable how good players emerge and decline, and how teams change across seasons
If you look more closely as some xG figures and other info, Barca has been in decline for a couple of years. RM already had a strong core and promising youth while Barca has relied on Messi for nearly are their offensive output. Even though Messi is the goat he can't do everything for them
Now it’s the opposite Barca looks like it’s abt to collapse with Messi (maybe) leaving and RM abt to enter a new era.. let’s hope it’s doesn’t flip again
Ask this : Who came ? Zidane came .That's the answer why Real Madrid turn the tide.
And then VAR started making questionable decisions🙃
As a Real Madrid fan. It was sad to see that many Real Madrid fans didn't believe in Zidane .... But now they do
Yeah i remember fans saying we want Mourinho. Now zidane is la liga champion and mourinho is in europa league.
@@JJ-zg7ug But is Mourinho in Europa League for next year though? 😏
The day they re-signed zidane,i knew they r gonna win at least 1 major trophy.
I've seen people who called themselves Real Madrid fans insult him online before the lockdown.
This type of people are an embarrassment for this club. You can criticise his choices, but I can't tolerate people insulting him, when he's probably one of the most decent coaches, who is always focused on the game and who never diss on anyone, even when people (I'm looking at you guys Bale and James) are clearly trying to get him sacked. Luckily, he always ends up putting his haters to shame.💪
I went all-in on Zidane when they went down 2-0 in the 2nd leg against Atletico after winning the first leg 3-0.
A LOT of teams would have gone to pieces, but Real held together, and took care of business.
That is one of the marks of a well-coached team.
Ramos this year reminds me of Terry in 14-15. Getting on a bit in years, lost a yard or two of pace, but comes up with a monster season, plays pretty much every minute and scores some huge goals
Agreed
He's waaay above Terrys level. No disrespect to Terry who was a beast for sure. But that's no comparison to the mentality monster Ramos who already has won Madrid countless finals so to say by himself.
I think 2013/14 ramos was the best version of him, though they had the best team in the world at that time but still 2014 ramos was beast.
@@wasifw673 2013/14 ramos was factually the best version of ramos. And i am not saying that bcoz of his goals, i am referring to how good his defensive aptitude was. 13/14 ramos had much better defensive stats than vvd, and only has a 0.2 dribbled past per game rate throughout the entire season. He managed to lead the defense really good in 2014 and successfully backpocketed bayern's front three in the semis. That season is perhaps the best season of any cb to ever play the game
He’s a way better defender and goal scorer than terry let’s relax.
If Madrid reaches CL final, Ramos deserves to be in top 3 of BDR this season!!
He isn't playing in the City 2ng leg.
@@hexgrade177 what has that got to do with anything
They have no chance against city
Replybait City never makes it to finals so yes they will have a chance against city and real will beat them.
Im here from the future real madrid win 3-1 and go through to the quarter finals vs juventus
Remember when pique said this is the worst Madrid side he’s seen after we banged 2-0 on him, took the super cup and took la Liga from him lmaooo
I remember when we blew up the season in a week last season and here we are today just an inch of winning the league.
Hala Madrid and let's take this form and beat city next month.
@Alen 004 if RM lose your gonna get sooooo many comments teasing you lol
@@bananarama3624 i always think about real vs city 2nd leg like this : if they won 2-1 why cant we?
@@lukaluka4868 Because right now you are looking at Real Madrid versus LaLiga teams, City is a different monster.
Dope 23 they barely won 2-1 against bournemouth it’s def possible
EXACTLY!! WE CAN DO IT IF THEY DID IT TO IS WE WILL DO IT RIGHT BACK!!! HALA MADRID!!!
Sergio's hella jacked.
And he's 34. Thirty-FUCKING-Four. Give the man a medal!
34 is technically not even mid age mate, you're acting like hes 64 xD step outside of your Football bubble.
@@yashiyer1738 well 34 biologically is the prime of a man, thats the age that muscle mass is at its maxx.
Muneeb Ali 34 is sorta old for a football player
Alejandro Gonzalez I think it was 27🤔
It was expected that Madrid would dip in form once Ronaldo left, but I didn’t expect for them to bounce back so quickly. It’s honestly really impressive how quickly they returned to the top and utilized other player’s strengths
Not only that but Barca and Atlético have been playing trash this season so we’ll see
@@AvergaeTrollllll Atletico haven't been trash, but very inconsistent. Defensively they are still only second to madrid. They still can frustrate any team in the world. While barca have just been poor management, the board, messi and ter stegen!
I thought it was a mistake for Zidane to return to Madrid after leaving on a high note. I'm happy I was wrong.
Me too.
It’s a outlier. Generally the rule is not to return. The only other example of an outlier to the rule that comes to mind Jose returning to chelsea.
I never doubted him
Zizu knew what was missing and simply came back and fixed it! Absolute legend. #HalaMadrid
Best example is Jupp Heynckes who left Bayern in early 90s after 4 years as Coach.
Joins again in 2009 for 5 Bundesliga games and lead Bayern in champions-league with 5 wins.
After that He Joins again in 2011/12
Leads Bayern in champions-league final, cup final and had a Hard bundesliga fight with Dortmund. At the end of the season He only reached the runner up in all three competitions.
After that in 12/13 He Made it better and Won All three titles and Bayerns first treble.
In 2017 He came back to a weak playing Bayern and brings them back to Form. Lost in CL semis against real although Bayern was the better Team but because of injuries He didnt make it to the final. Players like tolisso rafihna and ulreich had to play and He also Won the bundesliga title in 17/18...
There Always some good examples to return
Modrić aging like a fine wine
If I'm not mistaken, Ramos is a CB that turned RB and then turned back to CB, I remember he could always play both in a pinch, but Real signed him as a CB for the future in 2005
They signed him as a right back, he changed to CB after Carvalho left and Mourinho started using Pepe and Ramos.
Real Madrid signed Sergio Ramos from Sevilla as a RB, he was the replacement for an old Michel Salgado. Even in the 2008 Euro Cup he played as a right back because the CB's were Puyol and Pique..
You'll act like Maldini didn't do this before🤦♂️
@@juanandresrojas3345 well in that Euro the CB partnership was Puyol and Marchena
I used to use him as winger on winning eleven in master league, he had all rounded stats that we can use him everywhere
But have been telling people how zidane changed something different in our team see the you generation, likes of Valvarde, Rodrigyo, M. Asensio, and Curtis is still young there's Mendy
you meant courtois
@@brijeshkaler6277 I thought Curtis Jones (liverpool) for a moment lol. Courtois is 28, young for a goalkeeper.
some people used to say zidane is a bad coach lol
Valverde is 🔥
Curtis, yes
*VAR GETS INTRODUCED*
Barca fans: Real Madrid won’t win anything with VAR.
Barca fans now: Real Madrid is only going to win La Liga because of VAR.
The people who say that are salty jackasses
@@tojilsosa4885 it just shows the sore losers you're.
Exactly! Cognitive dissonance is raging in their moronic, deluded, blindly-biased heads.
Soul Kydo u need some medicin lad
That one match was obviously fixed though. Don't try to cover it up with a fake meme blaming Barca fans.
I love how Real decided to have a gold and white kit this season as a nod of good luck to their 2012 La Liga season and now it looks like they're going to be champions of Spain
Zidane's black magic helped too
Zidane doesn't use magic. He motivates his players
@@ahmedrahim2500 he says it figuratively.zidane has that charismatic factor that trumps his players egos.unlike manager like benitez zidane was a legendary player on the pitch and a real Madrid legend of all time.as egotistical our players r they know that they r nowhere near the amount of pedigree zidane has in real.they r not so big in front of him rather tiny.so they want to prove themselves rather than showing off on the pitch.
It's his *BALD* magic.
He be using them jinn magic 😂 jk.
Real Madrid
La Liga Champions 19/20
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tricky, I would say Real champions of la liga, Athletic of Copa del Rey and Atletico of Champions League
Too much confident.
I'm now just hoping we get that La Liga title and keep this form going forward in the UCL!!!👏
Real Madrid's Future is in safe hands with Take Kubo, Martin Odegard, Vini jr, Rodrygo, Fede Valverde, Eder Militao, Reiner Jesus.
and kylian mbappe
Charles Uzamere is Mbappe likely to go to Madrid? All I’ve seen is one meme about a transfer but idk how legit it is. I don’t follow football too closely
@@alexj7440 its like he's destined to end up there
Alex Jour Mbappe has said multiple times that his dream is to play for Real. He was close to go in 2017 but went to PSG instead because he didn’t want to leave France too early. Zidane is also ”flirting” with Mbappe in press conferences. In 2 years it’s almost 100% that you will se him in a Madrid jersey.
Mbappe
Remember, Zidane played in Italy during the golden era of defending. And catenaccio was a well used strategy. Wouldn’t be surprise he has integrated some elements of that into his players.
Thats a lie
Most people don't realize this but Zidanes biggest managerial influence is Marcello Lippi.
That wasn't catenaccio.
This is one of the best explanation for a team that has lost their way in the previous season but has come back stronger.it always is the mentality and overall approach of the team which helps winning matches.
Great analysis by robona TV. Thank you very much Hala Madrid
As a Real Madrid fan, thank you.
The standout performers for Real this season have been
Ramos
Benzema
Courtois
Casemiro
Not to take anything away from other players, everyone has been excellent.
Modric, Kroos and Casemiro have been crucial. There's no attack or defence without good midfield.
Kronos has 93% pass completion throughout the season and best in the league
You didn't even mention in the squad depth part how Real Madrid has now 21 different goal scorers, a never seen record in LaLiga.
Basically, from their first team, all outfield players have scored except for Brahim and Militao.
Perfect analysis of the Real Madrid football club, during Ronaldo, and after...You are crystal clear and concise, and much better than the main stream football media! Thanks!
As a Benzema fan for years it feels good to be vindicated.
As for Ramos he is both a villain and an inspiration.
Your videos are so solid. I appreciate the passion and research you put into the content. I've already recommended the channel to my futbol fanatic friends. Hala Madrid!
The LEADERSHIP quality that Ramos brings is very very important.
It's essential to squad harmony.
Exactly this is what barca lacks.in the past xavi iniesta these two players ensured the squad harmony and barca dna in players.as good a player messi is he is not a leader in the times of peril.barca doesn't have a good leadership structure.this is causing quality to decline.plus the la masia products r being overlooked for big money players.it is a disaster waiting to happen.
The passion to win and him giving everything for the team to win is why I like ramos
Edit: Casemiro one is the most underrated players in his position, a legend that does all the dirty work and even score decisive goal
bro u didnt barely mentioned about fede valverde. hes taken modrics role perfectly and hes been a key player in the midfield. and all real madrid need for next season is a backup right back, and a young midfielder who can play the holding role, and also finally one position which has been a slight problem for real, attack. they should bye someone who can take up the right flank and can bang in goals. if hazard stays fit for next season then madrid are in a great position.
"This is a team of superstars , a team that has immense backbone"
The most important addition for this year was Mendy.. What a player.. So solid and so positive going forward.. Marcelo is not replaceable ... He's the best left back I've ever seen but Mendy has the Madrid LB job on lock for the next 7 or 8 years if he keeps playing like this..
Ramos, Casemiro, Benz, and Carvajal were all amazing as well and Courtois with the bounce back year
Was there for the new jersey derby match. After the third goal the fans were chanting Keylor Navas, from there I didn't think courtois would recover. Crazy how that all turned around for courtois and real defense
Loved your video Adrian. amazing insights!!! real madrid fan!! halamadrid
Amazing video dude. I just finished it and I totally agree with everything you said. Absolutely adore your contet. Keep it up.
I am happy that real finally managed to win la liga, but don’t forget how poorly the team played before the pandemic. Lossing points with bottom teams, getting eliminated from the spanish cup and also loosing with man city at home in the ucl. This season had a lot of ups and downs and ups for real and i sure hope next year will be more consistent.
And this day after winning the 14th UCL title, Benzema being the key man, a Ballon d'Or contender, and the top scorer in the UCL and La Liga. This video must be reacted to by Adrien..
HALA MADRID..
Thank you for this amazing video!! Amazing review
When he talks about Ramos you just have to wonder how people even compare van di to
Him
The thing is Van Dijk doesn’t make mistakes like Ramos and doesn’t have the temper and dirty play like him. Ramos is all around better, but Van Dijk is a better pure defender.
saw you're video moments before the game, and the two pillars you mentioned ,both of them scored to secure the liga title for Real Madrid!!!
Bro, thanks for doing what you're doing! The sheer accuracy of even the tiny facts blew my mind!

I always had the belief that Zidane will shine again. Reals future is in safe hands. Just watch their young squad.
this is what champions are made of..just keep fighting
I have not see anybody that will replace Sergio Ramos when he retired Real Madrid need to invest in central back and midfield in case of Sergio Ramos and luka modric when they both retired
martin Odegáard that loaned out guy is playing brilliant this season with Espanole if he comes back then that midfield bench lineup will be the best
Espanole???? He's been loaned out to real sociedad
Dont forget kubo
Honestly Kroos should be in top 3 BDR this year. His 95% successful pass rate that he gets almost every game is so impressive. He holds the team together so much. Idk about him winning it but top 3 for sure
Great analysis. loved it

why dont they sell bale they ain't even letting him play
for a weekend recap could you cover the mls? the new format adds a lot of competitiveness to the league
MLS only has a small fanbase tbh. And it's not really a prestigious league.
No one cares about a sh!t league especially one that doesn’t even call it football.
Maybe some day in the futur the MLS is the best league in the world, but i wound watch one single match until the accept the fact - that you play this sport with the (!)foot and call it football. Im not anti USA but call it soccer is the red line....
Niklas Bründel I don’t think the MLS will ever get big. There are already a bunch of well established sports in North America. US mens team is an abomination which doesn’t really help either. If they made it to the semi finals in a World Cup or something then maybe it’d create interest, but that’s about it. Americans would rather pretend something doesn’t exist or matter than acknowledge they’re shit at it.
Real Madrid have the luxury of the best benches which gives an added advantage!! Hala Madrid.

Talking about icons in Real Madrid and not mentioning Modric is just disrespectful
I am really happy with this scores, 9/9 is amazing, but Real Madrid's lack of goal is really worrying. Man City will destroy us if we dont improve this, we need at least 3 goals to beat them because it will be impossible to leave a clean sheet against that beast of a team.
Indeed. Also, People forget Sergio Ramos is suspended for the upcoming match. So with the attacking potent of Man city it wil be a very dangerous match. I won't be suprised City wil win the match with 3-0...
You guys can't olay toe to toe with that city team. The only hope zidane has is to use his old counter attack tactics like the ones he did against teams like bayern and psg .However his counter attacks were only effective with ronaldo.Ronaldo's absence will be felt a lot in that match
