I feel like this is incredibly destructive. Quite frankly I find it scary.
There are already companies replacing humans with robots, all due to cost efficiency
It's a bit how music used to be made by really talented musicians, but then the record companies started manufacturing bands and taking on people that weren't that talented but were able to hit the mark, so they could be easily controlled and not messy in their lifestyles.
The very negative side of technology. It seems to develop faster than common sense.

Maybe it's some kind of human strive for perfection. Perfect AI human, who has perfect looks and perfect life, never aging, never gets sick, never has bad moments, bad hair day or depression or bad days. But, the thing is, it also has no life. Humans have it, but most of them don't really live it, striving for this non-existent perfection, instead of living our one and only not so perfect life. It's kind of sad...

I don't want to accept or even hear advice or perspectives from a "team of marketers" hell bent on indoctrinating me with their agenda after they attempt to gain my trust. Real people will tell you what you need to hear. Thankfully, there's a very beautiful and trustworthy woman with an engaging Fench accent to sensitively help me make better fashion choices. How depressing! The whole point of influencers originally, was to be inspired by real people.

Thank you for your info. and love the colour in your look! This tech could be used for "Good" but of course with human greed, it is heading towards the "Bad" effects, especially regarding jobs. The labelling of AI would likely disappear and further skew and screw the world. People who have mental health problems and make decisions predominated by emotions may be very vulnerable to the negative effects than more "logical" decision makers. Of course, this would be preferred for the greed based.

This could be great for online shopping. If you could create an avatar with your exact height, weight and measurements and try the clothes on virtually and see exactly how it would fit you.

I see why you would be a bit worried about the direction advertising is moving in, but aren't we really reverting back to a modern form of "the add"?
Before the invasion of influencers who took over the advertising firmament of modern marketing, companies used adds created by creative people employed in advertising agencies. Adds in papers, on billboards, on transportation (busses, trains, taxis). These creative people were put out of work when the likes of you (no offence, I love your videos) popped up and flooded the internet at a much 'better" price (seen from the desk of the CFO in any production company). Still, a good influencer with a lot of followers on various platforms costs a lot of money, and I gather too much as time has inflated their value to the producers 🤔, so maybe the virtual influencer who hasn't any master (agency) hasn't any rent to pay aso is the solution for maybe a smaller producer who can't afford to pay either an advertising agency or a human influencer? So - in reality - aren't these AI generated and virtual influencers just a good mixture of both worlds?

Sigh. They are fake, empty, bringing a state of dissatisfaction in one's personal life; who can really be like these fake influencers? A real person like Frederique, giving real tips to women, more realistic. Ah, a person my age is blessed to be alive (in my 70's). All you younger women, spread a little kindness to the world by being kind to the store checkout person, waitress, barista, whomever you interact with. That brings true beauty to the world.

This is the first I’ve heard of such a thing. 😳. I’ve never even liked animated movies very much. Another way to avoid real human interaction and all our wonderful flaws & lessons learned about our fellow humans.

As far as the companies are obligated to make clear that the influencer is fake, it's ok. I see them as the company's mascot. But, newer generations are growing disconnected from reality and that is worrying.
This is scary.. but at the same time..., maybe they will make ppl emphasize their humanity more! Lets find each other and connect more!

@@ms.frederique I wonder how many of their followers are men. I work in lingerie, and one of the problems brands have is that a large portion of their followers are men who follow to look at the pics of idealized women, but it doesn't translate to sales. I am getting the same vibes from these digital influencers. I just wonder if the guys are only there to be mesmerised by these ideal AI women and not to buy anything.
I just hope this will reassure you a bit. Frankly Frederique, I would NEVER follow a fake person. I don't know if this is a wisdom thing or an age thing, but I really believe you are safe. You can never be replaced by another person and even less, by a CGI. You are unique and much of this is about your personal style and personality. (Notice how many times I have written "person"...? It can't be avoided.)
On the other hand, I find this video informative, interesting, scary and this is something I'd like to protect my children against.

It’s scary but at the same time also makes sense. That said, humans have yet to learn about humanity, how to treat each other with respect and show compassion and empathy. It’s a bit naive of me to say, I know, but if we let the robots do the things that can be calculated and based on logarithms, couldn’t that free us, and in a way empower us to do things that cannot be calculated? Free us to actually evolve and surprise each other?

Hello Frederique! I love your work. Let me clarify something here, I am Brazilian and relate to Magalu it is not a digital influencer. It is more a Virtual Assistance and it exists more than 20 years! It was created in 2003. This virtual assistance is a bot created by a popular local Marketplace in Brazil (like Amazon in US but not so big, off course). Magalu assists, as a bot, with customer's question, track requests, show promotions, discounts, sales, etc. It does not sell a "life style" as a digital influencer. I don't think it should be compared with the others 2 that you've mentioned.

I knew about this and to me it's frankly disappointing, but I'm not Gen Z. I imagine they are the ones who'll buy this nonsense... I feel so sorry for them. Technology will be our ruin because of the wrong ways in which we use it.
