I wish Crane could see this...
that hit me hard
Same
😞
🥺🥺🥺
I miss Crane 😭
This also plays in Lawan's apartment. I just had to stare out the window, the sunset was just magical. I must have spent at least half an hour just staring, looking down at the empty, decayed streets. The apartment was quiet, and it was a moment of perfect stillness. I imagined the game world before the outbreak as if it were real. All the people that lived and worked in the city before it all went to hell.
I was thinking to myself, 'Is this really all we're meant to be? Is it all really so pointless and our own doom inevitable? Is our hubris really going to end us all?'
With everything going on in the world right now it is easy to fall into depression as things seem to be getting worse and worse, the world potentially ending up more or less like Villedor minus the zombies.
With that being said, as I was standing there, as proven many times before as well as in game, I realized humanity will continue to forge on regardless, because humans are really good at surviving if nothing else.
The post-apocalypse genre is my favourite due to the fact that it has small moments like these that make me reflect on life. It's a feeling that cannot be replaced and no other medium can reproduce, and music like this just serves to enhance.
What an absolute masterpiece this game has been, and such a gigantic leap from the first.
as a fan of zombie- and apocalyptic movies/games , this prologue was one of the best thing ive ever played... the music is perfect, i have goosebumps everytime... its disappointing that the rest of the game did not capture this vibe again... :( game was still very good though...
Yeah sometimes I make a whole other game save just to come back to this point
Exactly I completely agree with you, the game after this was disappointing
I wouldn't say that "the game was very good though "
Totally agree the lonely passive weird vibe just wasn’t there after this part😢 it’s sad bro that people can’t understand this feeling
tbh, try roleplaying as a regular joe :D Dont parkour, instead stealth, trying to scavenge things on the streets. Fun times, imo
When spike said I wish crane could of been here to see this it hit me so hard
I felt most sad when I saw most skeletons together, or hugged, and some of them were alone. Always makes me wondering what those people could feel in the moment of the end of the party. Makes me wondering how could I feel and what could I do in such moment. Makes me wondering what could be the last moments in my life while the world would end. Playing this game 3rd time and always in this scene Im staying there some time and just thinking.
I swear this vid people gain the same mind set as me
Relax, it's a game. People live and die by the thousands every second.

I teared up at this beginning part, dying lights a fun game but they sure know how to make it depressing sometimes.
I will never forget this one scenery in Dying Light - The Following with that mailman who roped in his office. You could enter it and see him hanging from the ceiling. Below him there is a letter which basically says that he never even had fun at his job and he is going to take a moment to remember some good things about the past and then he is going to go. "Everything will be good now" was one of the last sentences in the letter.
One of the most depressing moments in Dying light.
@@gem1nox877 I need to remember to look Dr that sounds dark
Absolutely gorgeous, this opening area had so much to say and this score gave it all the words. Really wish this ambiance version was on the soundtrack. Thank you for making this!
No problem, glad you enjoyed it! 😊
I absolutely agree. This was an amazing moment in storytelling. No words. Just you seeing the remnants and piecing it together, with the haunting music playing in the background.
@@epiclx5978 imagine Techland kept this vibe and quality throuout the whole game.. this prologue is a Masterpiece..
@@adidkjf This amazing ambience it's the real prof of how everything goes to shit after they fired Avalone (it happened around when you try to reach new Villador) and you can clearly notice how the game was pretty amazing ambience/writing wise in the begging, after that everything become a shit show for 11 years old.
Let’s all be honest, most of us want to go back here and just enjoy the view
This whole scene was so real, and heart breaking. These people were partying knowing they would be dying that night. And the notes you can find make it so much worse. Techland did a great job of conveying how humans would react to such a horrifying scenario. An apocalypse that tears through the entire world.
This isn't how humans would react in this scenario.
@@DinaricUbermensch You do realize that everyone is different, right?
@@chrisnotpratt1903 Bruh no one is going to party when the end of the world is coming, its unrealistic
@@DinaricUbermensch more realistic than you realise, these people took charge of their destiny and died in a manner of their own choosing, fair to say a lot of people after the initial shock would take the opportunity to regain some resemblance of control in a nightmare situation where everything seems to be beyond your control or influence
Nicolae I would probably want to go out like this way too
The game was good, but the intro was the best part. It’s the first thing I think about when I recall playing it. The lighting, ambience and atmosphere capture a feeling of loneliness and desolation.😢
this music is so.... calming, yet full of so many sad yet happy emotions at the same time.
When I played the mission „The Shoe“ and this played at Lawans penthouse during sunset.
That was magical 💭
My first time playing this it broke my heart to see all those people go out that way when they could have tried to survive
Sometimes it's better to go out in your own terms than living a life full of horror and misery,I guess this people already knew that.🤍
I have goosebumps... This music is everything!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Bro same
Had to go to X13, a storm hit, I found a nice rooftop, turned off the HUD, and just watched everything as this played mixed with the sounds of the generator nearby, safety, listening to then rain impacting the rotting buildings, the destroyed streets, watching as the wind blew any debris away, everything seemed still. This game is beautiful
It’s moments like these where I ask myself did I spend my life well or did I waste it I’ll never know until my final day on this world comes
I'm thinking exactly the same on this!
I mean life doesnt have to go one way or the other to be "well" spent. Just the realization that youre living right now and can experience all of that comes with it, that is enough at the end . Sure lot of people wont be satisfied, so they chase goals, like family or other things that society pressures you to do, so you are "living to the fullest". Appreciating that you can just stop for a moment, be mindful, have a tea, play the game is fine :)
Life it's living in your own terms and not other thinking what's best for you,not even your parents. You have to do what your heart tells you and be a good human being in general, you are not gonna regret it at the end, trust me.👍🤍
Aiden: Heartbreaking.
Spike: There’s nothing like a party to celebrate the end of the world.
Aiden: They died on their own terms.
Spike: Let’s hope we get that lucky, too. *sighed* Aiden. I’ll see what’s upstairs. You check out the garden. Okay?
Aiden: Okay.
Still honestly this part was tragic, sad, and heartbreaking. Even more with the note that said “Sorry Dave
Goodbye” and the letter to Mary where the one who wrote the letter revealed that they were going to kill themself, so they can join Mary in the afterlife. Which still these people (referring to the corpses) party knowing that they will die. Which this still shows that there’s people who are strong enough and there’s people who had given up on life, and were tired/had enough of the suffering. So they wanted to die.
Not gonna lie, as soon as I heard this, I knew the game was gonna be great
I remember sitting there taking in the moment feeling the emotions coming in. A party to kick off the end of the world and what seemed like the end of everything.
I can’t explain this ambiance man, it’s just so beautiful and depressing
I literally listenin this when I going sightseeing an abandoned place or something ❤️
I listen to this song whenever I go through old photos... Whenever I get back to the nostalgic memories..

Scenes like these are so effective at portraying that sinking feeling you get when you're alone. Love it, baby.
It’s like accepting the world we had is too far gone. Beauty and a sense of peace will always be there, but everything else has changed.
this genuinely is fitting for those 1 hour long playlists of calm ambience songs

The feel I get when listening to this is being up high in the sky, not on top of building or anything just me floating up there, can't move and somehow I'm not scared yet fully peaceful and just observing the Earth. That's the feeling I get and that's the dream a had when I felt to sleep once while listening to this. The 1st time I actually had a dream of something I thought about earlier. Isn't that spooky? How can someone 1st think of something and then dream it? It's always the opposite, you think about what you experienced in dream yet somehow I predicted a dream.
This actually makes me fell pretty sad about how the real world turned out to roll nowadays (everything going to shit from gaming industry to cinema industry,1'of the worst pandemics of our generations, real wars in the heart of Europe and full of useless cowards puppets that call themselves Presidents, etc) but also gives me goosebumps and the felling of release after what well be the end of the world how we know it, knowing that you have nothing to lose anymore and that in the end you can chose to go out exactly like your heart tells you.....the music tells you everything.💙😢.

Love listening to this and sink into deep thoughts and stare at the void, think about my lifeless future.
Profound comment.
This part made me cry literally when i saw all the dead ppl/skeletons.....and this one couple both died together ;m;
yeah me too
Even a year later around November time whenever I see orange trees and stuff I think about the noise and visuals coming from this video, it's kind of crazy I still think about it this video truly affected me. It's a masterpiece.
I'm glad i found this it's so peaceful and it really makes you think clearly when you're going through a lot and don't want to think about the bad thoughts that hurt your heart more. It helps me cause I'm fighting a war with myself and this one is harder than the last because i have to let go and say goodbye to the one person who i thought i was meant to be with for the rest of my life...... I don't want to but i have to.... 🥺
I can feel you my brother
impossibly beautiful music...
I remember feeling so heart broken when I came across this place and it made me think to myself what it would do. I felt a bit of solace in the fact I would probably do the same thing, I might be a fighter but I could not fight if I felt like all that I loved and cared for was burning down around me and all I could do I watch.
Who would’ve thought the end of the world would be so peaceful?
When I first played this section I fully expected one of the corpses to get up and jumpscare me
Apocalyptic games are so nostalgic ngl
*We Are One Community*
The missiles destroyed X13. The city survived
Radio warnings allowed to minimize the number of casualties.
*The Free Folk, led by the Nightrunners,* govern the city and the city prevails
The Bazaar is thriving, thanks to Sophie's leadership.
Hakon helped Lawan escape X13 just in time. They both made it out alive
This song is truly beautiful
I could live with this as my last view
this music made me contact friends i havent talked to in awhile. love this atmosphere makes me look back on things.
The beauty of the pilgrims life, besides all the apocalyptic threats, there is a shine of light in a dying lights world.
This gives me such peace and tranquillity. It really helps to settle my anxiety and make me relax. As much as I enjoy playing the game, I’ll always love listening to the soundtrack.
This scene... Is beyond me. Most of video games gives an epic opening but this opening is just, so sad. I felt sorry for all those people who commited suicide because of the world is going to fall apart. Very heartbreaking. I have no words... My thoughts are all over in my head...
It still terrifies me how close we are to apocalypse every day.
Dying Light 2's prologue really reminds me of Mass Effect 3's prologue, both has that serious hopelessness feeling to it, it's rare for games to have this kind of opening
@@AhmadWahelsa True
@@AhmadWahelsa True. However, in DL2 there is no hope. The whole world is gone, nothing left, just everything falls apart. Actually, no. Both these games have very emotional entry.
@@youngimprovingman7700 Yeah. Unfortunately, people are being filled with greed. From working together to survive and stopping exctinction, they would rather rule and purge those who opposes them. The society turns against each other because people are different, politicians willing to dominate others and show their power... I still hope some will see error od their ways but looking to the history and how things looks right now, it's very unlikely to happen. I hope I was wrong...
The devs really captured this well. This is what would happen if the world was ending. Not with fire… but with a whimper
They were all equally doomed, so they made the best of their last night on this Earth.
Fun fact: you also hear this in the mission broadcast
This was my favourite part of the game tbh, so eery yet peaceful
I wish there was a whole ass free roam zombie game that took place 30 years into the apocalypse and everything was in the countryside so overgrown and beautiful and you played as a guy that is around 45 years old and he was around 15 when the outbreak started and as he watches the world go to hell the longer he survived the more beautiful it got it should be like this really huge map the size of the united states and there would be destroyed cities and and burnt down buildings, old cars, skeletons, overgrown forest, hardly any survivor outpost, wandering traders, zombies (obviously), climbable cliffs, old churches, broken bridges, and a beautiful sunset by the time the day ended with the graphics being simply amazing that's my idea of a perfect zombie game what's y'all's opinion and what should this characters name be
His name would be Adam. Adam of Sunrise. Adam of The New Dawn.
I’ve been trying to find this song for a long time thank you lad

Never expected this music to hurt this bad but why tho. Song and the ambience gives a feeling I Still cant describe. Perfct to listen when its windy outside.
It's coming to an end, isn't it?
This game was the best experience I had; specially the first and last mission. I wanted to cry for that party with that awesome music. I really want to experience the world ending.
Look for the notes . And pill bottles laying all over the place . The way the body's are positioned , some of them definitely swallowed bottles of pills and laid there and died together . This isn't one of my favorite games but this part of this game will have forever left a mark on me, walking around that party examining everything was crazy! This music made it 100x better . I wish they could've captured this feeling more throughout the game .
