All Dying Light Ambient Music Tracks

- These short tracks play in all 3 maps in Dying Light and only play when you aren't in combat. I consider these pieces of music to be some of the best in the game, yet they are nowhere to be found in the OST. I've compiled them all into one video so you can hear them. They play at random, and in no order, so I've done my best to record each song for this video. I'm sorry if I missed one.

whoever composed this music just...understood the world, environment, and atmosphere of the game world
Agreed totally. Although some of the Old Town ones just stand out at being so "bad" and out of place. 2, 3, and 7 to name a few make no sense to me. They play in the same conditions as the rest, but they sound way more like a combat theme than a peaceful theme.

it's crazy how few music cues can make a game so special
i think its good that the game didnt had many musical cues or loud ones. the sound effects is what was more better in being emphasised

@@imzayuhh when I'm looting and I'm searching through a building which was once a home to a family now only sits as a vacant building with remnants of there owners scattered on the floor/furniture all the while that track is playing makes me just feel so much for these people I've never known

I love hearing that one play while at the beach/near the water. Splashing of the waves adds to the ambience a bit.

i feel like 9:16 almost gives back that feeling of hope with a kind of heroic tone to it. pretty fitting for crane
0:38 right in the feels , it really portrays the loneliness and despair in the city with a touch of regret and sadness. Wonderful addition to the gameplay.
That one to me makes me think of the virus itself, how it’s everywhere, probably working its way into your systems, and the affects it has on people’s bodies that makes them go feral
It's a resident evil like song. The 1:00 is more about loneliness and steadiness in a zombie crowded city.
That one has always made me think about like someone who had just started playing the game, like a low level player just doing parkour over the rooftops

13:49 it's like symbolizes slow time passing while Harran's tragedy is consuming rapidly the wide areas.
One of the best parts of Dying Light is hearing these tunes when you're not in combat. They add so much atmosphere and terror to the game, it feels like every tune tells its own story.
My favorite one is 7:21. It makes me feel powerful like I'm the last survivor on the earth.

Same. I used to launch this game up every day for a solid few months before going to school, getting as much playtime in. The Old Town themes are especially nostalgic because sometimes I would just stand on top of a building and listen to it.

techland crafted one of the best open worlds out there imo, they did such a good job with the ambience, u rly feel like ur in the shadow of a one thriving city, i dont know how to explain it, but this game just has such a no-hope, kind of bleak and dark feeling to it, and the yellow colour tone seals it for me. u rly dont get these feelings from games now, just some of the older ones. borderlands 1 and 2 also had this lonely feeling imo, but not 3

5:11 has to be hands down my favourite. I dont know what there is about it but it sends chills down my spine every time o hear it, but it also makes me excited and reminds me of the first time I played this game with my friend back at his house. Moments like those that I shared with him will always have a special place in my heart and I will forever cherish them. I wish that I could relive them again.
I grinded this game throughout a tough phase of my life, the countryside ost has always stuck with me. Exploring the countryside always felt special, and I enjoyed getting on to sink hours of my time.

5:11 my heart sinks when I hear this. It just hits me with a wave of despair, reminding me of the tragedy of the outbreak in Harran. So many people.. dead or infected. While survivors of the quarantine have to go through hell everyday just to survive. And to what end? To continue to be isolated and trapped in a city with a virus that can’t be cured? To see biters roam the streets waiting for their next meal? To get jumped by bandits? Dying Light is a beautiful game that delves into the dark reality of a zombie outbreak.

#13 on slums is so nostalgic in an unsettling and sad way. It makes me miss those days when I was young, running around harran discovering everything.
The nostalgia is real. I still play this game though obviously because why wouldn’t I? It’s an amazing game and I have over 40 days on it. This soundtrack is amazing, and I love the ambient music. It gives me chills how good it is.
The climbing and combat mechanics are so smooth that I cannot believe that it is 6 years old already.

Dying light a game that will always be remembered
I love this game to this day, and listening back to this rlly shows how strong and impactful the score was. Just listening to this clip brings back memories and when you’re in game playing it rlly helps immerse you into the world. Dying Light is such a gem esp the music

i feel like when you’re in game and focused on playing and exploring, you don’t pay much attention to the music cues and ambient tracks, because they’re so subtle yet they’re so powerful and everyone remembers them.

I bought this on release and I’d just moved into my first place with my girlfriend. I’d spend hours between playing this and GTA V while chugging cans of Rockstar.
I lived at my dad‘s house during this time period.
CoD advanced warfare & Dying Light was my daily soul calmer.
When I came back from school in winter and it was already dark and snowy outside.. almost forgot that time. But it was great!

I made this for myself, really, since the other videos with these tracks were bad. But I put it up here for others as well. Thank you for enjoying.
It just me or anyone else feel like the slum ambience sounds kinda make you still can survive in here and patience waiting for help but in sector 0 you feel like you're alone and the survivors that still alive feel like we're hopeless. And the last one for me the countryside ambience sounds feel like you step on the ground where is full of infected but all you can do is run, you can't hide because it just full of field and you can't climb cause there's no building like the slums and sector 0.
this game is honestly beautiful, great story, great mechanics, great music, great characters. i cant wait for the second one to upgrade all of these
