- Hats off to Techland for creating this fantastic scene at the start of the game. I definitely got a little emotional seeing all these people trying to enjoy what little time they had left. Didn't expect to see this in a game all about dropkicking zombies off of buildings lol.

This scene of the game really caught me off guard, seeing how they all went out on their own terms was sad. I am really glad Techland showed us this at the start of the game to give us an understanding that world is no longer what it was and that we are among the last survivors of the earth. I am loving this game, 62 hours in and still got more to go....Techland outdid themselves with this one.

Rather than starving to death, living in constant fear or witnessing the loss of another loved one…
They all chose a more or less peaceful, and to some degree, happy end.
The moment I saw the first skeletons, undisturbed and showing a clear story as to what was going on, my heart sank. As if the end of world wasn’t sad enough, we are slapped in the face by this moment, and at the beginning of a game we waited so much for that matter..

I really enjoyed this beginning. It set the tone perfectly. The game has some humor in it but I like Dying Light more when it shows sombre stuff like this.

The lighting, music, and sound of the leaves blowing in the wind changed a somewhat goofy premise of an “End of the World Party” into a peacefully somber scene that set a tone which I was not expecting.

A very emotional scene with an amazing ambience background! As you all can see when you play the game, each one of them had a small pill box next to them so they committed suicide after the last party i suppose. I was looking for this music Thank you for uploading, great quality
No problem. I wish the video resolution was a bit better though. I had to zoom in a fair bit so all the hud elements wouldn't show up in the video.

For those of you who want the version without ambience, the soundtrack is called "New Beginnings" and the one in this video is a slightly modified version of it
Everyone is dead but the world goes on without us, like we never existed. Definitely gives you a melancholy feeling watching this and knowing the truth of that. I find the video itself strangely relaxing.

Been looking for this part of the soundtrack since I played it, it fits so well with the mood. Techland have absolutely nailed this game, I'm 20 hours in and only just starting to scratch the surface. It's a good chance this could be my GOTY this year, Fantastic game.

this is the most amazing scene in this game ! I'm in so fking love with that. I like that exploring in the woods, a little lesser town and just chilling and enjoying by walking in the forest... that would be a great dlc , i'll hope this has a chance
I absolutely loved this scene, only for it to feel out of place not 1 hour later when there's flashing purple lights everywhere and survivors around every corner.
In comparison, Dying Light 1 felt the way this scene did all the way through. The location was enough to tell a story and many times you're left just to speculate on how everyone lived beforehand.
this part is one of a kind in this game, a great first impression for a story that sadly didn't follow this more melancholic and dark atmosphere

to me this says even at the end people can still find a way to smile and that's what these people try to do by choosing their way to die and despite all the years they been here they are at peace

If seeing this wasn't emotional enough when the dude mentioned Crane I couldn't hold my tear anymore cuz I remembered Following ending. Thanks for making. Can you please upload it again but add the conversation between Aiden and Spike because it has a little bit of main theme in it and I think it starts after he mentions Crane.
Just think if they made a dlc about Aiden's childhood from being experimented on by Waltz to growing up in the post apocalyptic world where we see his mother and father and explains the 2019 e3 trailer where he says his father saved his life and taught him life lessons, how he met Spike , how he became a Pilgrim and much more, plus adding this soundtrack in at depressing points of the dlc. (I found out he didn't know his parents so that won't happen but we could see his life before and after the Fall and who raised him during it and the rest of the stuff I mention)

This Scene is more realistic than we think. Imagine you live in a Warzone, where your live change from one situation to another. In the first Moment everything is good, but than everything changes into pure Chaos. And you have the choice to live in a destroyed and desperate World ore you commit suicide to die in peace. Very sad situation.

My guess is The ones who attended the party and had seconds thoughts already left the house and probably perished elsewhere.

Basically when the outbreak happened 10 or 15 years before the game starts, these people decided to have one last party before they died.
People at this party committed suicide.
