How to make Nigerian Masa Waina *EASY*

- Masa aka Waina is a popular dish eaten in the north of nigeria. The main ingredient is rice.
In this video I show you how you can make masa using ingredients that you can easily get your hands on.

Wayyo Allah!! Masa dadi. Back home my mum will use cooked rice in place of the corn flour. I sure will try this recipe. That ludai lol. I have one i have been using since when I was in school i take it to anyway I'm moving to. Besides, this looks yummilicious

Hi....thank you for the video, please can I use parboiled rice for masa?
Some people add parboiled rice to the mix. We don't do it that way but it should be fine to do it that way 🙂
You aren't used corn flour, that is corn starch, for doing the cream in the microwave...
I think it should be watery to make a good masa

Yay I'm glad it worked out well for you 😃👏🏾 so I guess it depends on how much you want to do so for example if you want to do half then just half everything, if you want to double then double all the ingredients. Hope that answers your question 😊
@@Aishcream Thank you. Yh... I tried doubling all the ingredients but it didn’t work. I didn’t come out well. It wasn’t bouncy and it didn’t rise when frying and the taste too was somehow
Oh that's strange. That's how I have always done it. Did your mixture rise? Because if bit, then you may need to put more yeast.
Can I make it with ordinary rice? Or only basmatic
We've never actually tried making it with any other rice to be honest so not too sure how it will turn out. Maybe one for you to experiment with. Of you do, let me know how it goes 😁
