    Sinasir (rice pancakes) is a popular northern Nigerian dish .
    Is a great meal for occasions like traditional wedding events,naming ceremonies and etc.
    It's served with stew like vegetable stew, egushi stew,spinach stew,honey or syrup
    Ingredients:
    3 cup rice
    ¾ cup sugar
    1 tbsp yeast
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    Oil for greasing

    Sinasin or kesire is one of traditional food of the kanuris and the shuwa Arabs.Next time pls make Ndalayi food pls.your kisar is perfect thank you.

    Hello thank you for posting this recipe. What did people use before there was yeast in the old days? Did they just let it ferment longer before frying?

      They use fermented cow milk instead of yeast

      Some people do use basmati rice and it still works fine ,but the closest to tuwo rice is Jasmine rice.

    Thank you. I followed the same procedures but mine came out too soft not like normal sinasir. As in the top is too soft that it can easily be messed up when touched
