The Golden age.1984....Senna,Piquet,Mansell,Prost,Lauda,Arnoux,Tambay,Laffitte,Rosberg,Patrese,De Cesaris,Cheever,De Angelis,Alboreto...all together in the same championship.The Turbo era,the atmosphere,people,easy going rules,nothing compared to our nowadays boring F.1. U r lucky man,u were there.
Na de tip van het blad RTL GP toch maar even gekeken, en wat een mooie beelden zeg! Ja toen kon het allemaal nog, sigaretten reclame mocht nog en alles was nog vrijheid blijheid, prachtige trip down memory lane, volgens mij waren de prijzen toen ook al aardig hoog, kan me iets herinneren van prijzen op de hoofd tribune van Fl100,- per plek en dan zat je ook nog op een stoeptegel (er stonden zelfs nr op)
50 gulden in de duinen. En 200 voor de hoofd tribune meen ik nog te weten. Daar zat ik namelijk ook,in 1984. Achteraf,had ik liever in de duinen gezeten/gelopen.
Amazing pit stops, with guys in shorts and a calm demeanour. 😁 What is a pit stop today - 4 seconds or something around there? Makes the old pit stops look like lunch breaks. 😊
That's too bad. That's probably what killed Riverside as well. I live near San Francisco but would like to see all these classic venues return to major league racing.

We have something like that at Sonoma Raceway and Mazda Raceway. They tribute racing from all eras and all types.
