Ik was hierbij :) Een mooie tijd voor mij persoonlijk. Voor het circuit een zeer moeilijke tijd. Jammer dat Hans Ernst niet meer heeft mogen meemaken dat de Formule 1 terug naar Zandvoort kwam.
1986 was een beter jaar dan het jaar erop. Die werd na de dodelijk misgelopen stunt van Alain Vincx meteen afgeblazen. Voice-over hier door volgens mij een hele jonge Olav Mol.

Alain Vincx is volgens mij in 1987 verongelukt, kan ook 1988 geweest zijn. Het was op Zandvoort toen hij door 4 bussen wilde heenrijden. Wat ik mij kan herinneren was bus 2 lager dan bus 1 waardoor het dak van de camaro compleet van de auto werd afgerukt toen hij vanuit bus 1 bus 2 binnendrong. Vincx scheen in een vierpuntsgordel gezeten te hebben waardoor hij niet onder het dashboard kon duiken en de auto niet alleen zijn dak verloor, maar Vincx ook zijn hoofd... :)

Ik vermoed dat dit 87 of 88 is, op 0.28 zie nog net een f12 uit de derde serie/vierkante koplampen,mistlampen.(met wit E kenteken)die echter pas oktober 87 op de markt kwam. 86 kan het in ieder geval niet zijn.

In race 1 of the series they said the cars have about 100-110bhp (an original ax gt was 85bhp) and that was all they said. But if the cars remain fairly stock a.i. ripping out the interior and fitting a roll-cage, better suspension and probably brakes, they would come in around 700kg. Since the standard ax gt weighs in the base model between 680kg(euro models) and 720kg(british models). And there is no big weight gane to be had on any of the other bits of the car. The weight difference between a euro and brit car is because of the right hand drive conversion wich made the car worse in every way. Heavier steering, less feel in the brakes, nowhere to put your left foot and a weird throtle position. None of these things where an issue on the left hand drive models.
