What a fantastic win for an incredible Pokemon. Greninja EX Special Illustration Rare has been on one of the most insane rises in recent history and seems to be heading for non-stop growth.
Is this going to be one of the best cards of the Scarlet & Violet Era? Generation 9 still hasn't had 'the card' appear, and it feels like this is it.
Overall, Twilight Masquerade has been somewhat underwhelming, though this Greninja has made an impact and created some incredible noise throughout the Pokemon Trading Card world.
It really begs the question of whether or not this card will be one of the most expensive Pokémon cards from Scarlet & Violet?

I love this take and the analysis is great man! I really think this set is honestly a sleeper, with multiple solid pulls and hard pull rates I think in a year people will want to go back to this set and open more for the heavy hitters. And above all, it’s the first major publicity set of scarlet and violet. How much have we talked about it and it’s only been a few weeks of release? I can’t remember another set other than maybe 151 that was this talked about, whether good or bad. Can’t wait for the next video 👍

Pulled him in my first ever twilight pack that I won in a whatnot bid for $1.....opened less than 100 sleeved packs and got almost every big card except carmine ... they say pull rates are tuff, but been good to me

Twilight is way more loved by people than I expected tbh. That’s just the way it goes sometimes though haha..it’s definitely grown on me and that greninja is 🔥 pair that with the tough pull rate to pull that specific card.. 🚀

And the greatest part about it was that since it came out near the end of school, my mom got me a booster box (before the set dropped since we were good friends with taylor from legacy sports cards, which is how believe she obtained, idk though)as a “good job getting through school” and that booster box had the greninja, so since the set wasn’t officially out yet, I didn’t know that this was the best card in twilight masquerade. Sorry if this is long.

The reason it's dipping back down is that someone is selling 3 to 6 at a time on tcg from 90$ to 112$. 0 actual completed sales and 0% feedback. He has sold almost 20 of them cheap. People like that should be banned and fined. I have a greninja so I pay close attention

I think a lot of the reason for people liking the greninja is because of the texture on it hard to see it from picture, but amazing in person

I pulled 2. 1 was wayyy off center but not bad enough for a “OC” grade, and the other was MINT! I sold the off center one for $120, which I was very happy with and I sold the mint one @$190 and honestly couldn’t be happier because I don’t see it going above $190 for a long time ahead. Pretty sure that’s peak value out of it for at least the next year.
Only thing that’s going to bump up the value is if PSA decides to stop giving gem mint 10 on freakin everything.
Already sold for 200 and 220 via tcg . This one’s going .

Definitely a chase card. Starting with temporal, seems like its quietly shifting to a good era. The other sets (PR, PE, Base) are good too but looks like htey are upping it even more.
I bought the Japanese version in Japan for £40 lol. Better texture, better print quality, better price 🙏🏼 this card will drop trust me dont buy in to the hype everyone. Charizard v was insanely expensive then dropped lol

The good thing about greninja in this set is that it gives TM a floor in terms of investing. Even if it may never be the best set of the era, as long as greninja’s value holds, that will make this set at worst a decent investment
I completely agree with you, Greninja is looking like the true first chase from S&V. It's a very cool card, but unfortunately like you said, I'm also skipping on it and this set for now. Maybe later in a year or so we'll see where it settles.

A little too early to say. Paldean Fates Zard was $180 the first week or so and now it’s $100. I agree it’s a top tier card of the S/V generation at the moment. I can see it settling down to $120 soon.
Twilight masquerade is defiantly the best core set release in Scarlet and some time. In my opinon it is better than Silver tempest or lost origin but doesn't outshine Brilliant stars and Fusion Strike, so it is right in the middle. The mask gimmick is the only thing i didn't like. Trainers, Ir and alt arts are all great . 8.5/10 Set overall
I pulled this card from my very first and only pack I purchased from twilight ❤ was literally the only card I wanted to pull 🙏 feeling super blessed rn
This set feels a bit like the Chilling Reign of the SV era. It might not be everyone's favourite now but it could pop off in the future.
I'm personally not a huge fan of the Greninja but i do see the appeal. Twilight Masquerade has the best trainer SIRs so far and i reckon the Eevee IR could become one of the chases alongside the Magikarp.

This Graninja came out at a time where the market manipulation is at an all time high. It is already dropping fast and I feel will be a $75 card if not $60 like when the dust settles in 6 months. Magikarp will maintain its spot atop Scarlet & Violet as the big chase IMO

I pulled it last night and my first booster box I was so happy when I saw the edges I knew what I got it's crazy because I almost put that booster box back to get a different one because the plastic wrap was coming off just a little bit but I thought maybe it's a lucky one and sure enough it was so happy to have this card
I have done that so much where I overspend on product to crack open or you get that fomo itch. It’s a reminder to calm down. I love this card and I have spent $160 chasing it lol. I can’t get myself to pay for the card though because I thought it would have dropped by now. It’s definitely the card to watch.

I don't think this card will do bad, but I also think the price isn't going to go up. We're getting a Greninja promo card in Shrouded Fable that arguably looks better. It also doesn't help that the rest of the set is kind of lackluster.
Pulled one this week, had a crazy day and popped in walmart as they were closing and grabbed my first ever TM etb, pulled this beauty and didn't even know what I had 😅 I never cared too much about the cards until now! I'm hooked. Nearly have the master set now. True story
the card is just too busy for me which sucks cause i LOVE greninja, maybe seeing it in person will change my opinion but personally i couldn’t have fomo over this card at this price

I see it on the level of blaziken vmax. But on the lon run it will be better as sthe sword and shield era cards. As gigantamax pokemon will be a strange battle Gimmick in the future I see the all dip in the future. No one tals about that

I think most of the IRs and SIRs in twilight are kind of boring. The Chancey, Eevee, and Greninja are the looking ones.

The new greninja promo slaps the shit outta this mid SIR. That promo should be $150 not this card (obviously trolling) but real talk the greninja SIR and the new greninja promo coming out should have been swapped. If that new promo was the set SIR then yea the geninja would be the ultimate chase for SV era
I've been saying the same thing, to a degree. I think that it is indeed the most spectacular S&V release (although it's not my personal favourite, I do rate it). But where I'm a little divergent from you is that I see the whole PTCG cooling off so hard this gen... cooling to the point of cold. The hype of the pandemic years, fuelled by nostalgia has long gone. The change to holo+2reverses in every pack had a psychological effect too. Heck, even the Yellow borders being retired might have had a subtle impact on how people feel about the cards. So I'm not sure that ANY card at the moment, no matter how good, is going to create that FOMO hype that we have seen in the recent past. Am watching the situation with interest as it develops.
I got the first auction going on a PSA 10. It’s at $520-$530 right now. Hoping for $600 for the sale - Saturday we shall see

I really want the Greninja and since it was announced i knew it would be a big one. Im being patient and waiting for the set to age just a little before jumping in. Here in the Uk, there are not many copies of some of these desirable IR/SIRs at all on the market. Genuinely scarce! As for PSA 10s...almost non existent in some cases.
They will come. Grades are on the way back I imagine!
Do not fomo on the greninja , I guarantee there will be much better chased worth your money and once reveled greninja isn't going to be the hype anymore , personally I think it's awful anf only looks good compared to the rest of the set, all it is, is colour's, I know the Magikarp from Paldea evolved blows this card out of the water not only that but the upcoming greninja promo also beats this one ,the hype is on this card because people are begging for a chase card so weve lowered out expectations and think the greninja is a god card ..it's not...I think even the Eevee is better ,,alot of fraudulent movement about in the space be careful 🎉
This seems like a forced chase card to me. Maybe it’s because I genuinely don’t like it, but I can’t fathom how this could be people’s favorite. The color pallet looks a bit elementary and the splashes are a mess. It takes a couple seconds at first glance to read the image and make out what’s going on. I also think the crowns are corny. But hey! Maybe I’m the odd one out here and I actually have bad taste.

This card is meh to me I prefer the Infernape that card is super underrated I actually bought several copies.

I really liked the illustration rares in TM, but I'm keen to wait on this. It just feels similar to the hype that built around obsidian flames SIR Charizard that's now sitting at a much more affordable price.

I see one BIG problem with this card. The next Illustration Rare Greninja EX card is already comming in August with the Shrouded Fable Promo Box. You get this card for 30 Bucks and in my opinion it looks even better!! For me personally there is no point in buying this Twiglight Greninja EX..

I don't get the hype for that card. Its like a super colorful tube of toothpaste exploded. I think this card will be outclassed by later releases. Also I think the Greninja promo coming out is MUCH better than this card but sadly will be too easy to get.
This card is popular because it’s a cool Pokémon. But it’s another different Alt art piece from being irrelevant, there so much more that can be done with it. So it’s a pass from me.

Much like the Giratina, this is one ugly arse card. Twilight masquerade is surprising the heck out of me; definitely one of the weaker SV sets, but what I think doesn't matter - a lot of people seem to love this set 🤷♂️.
Its a cool card but overrated in my opinion. There's A LOT going in the artwork. So much that it is hard for me to properly see that there is an actual Greninja illustrated. Not a fan of these types of artworks.

I love Greninja but to me this one is just a mess of colours where I can't make out the shape of anything in it...
From an investment perspective I appreciate the community's sentiment toward it, and I'll take that on board, but as an artwork it's just not for me.
