Can’t believe after all these years I always come back and relisten to these no matter how many times I’ve heard them they always make me laugh..
I’ve been looping all 4 series for about 6 years now

But yes, it's definitely a show you can listen to over and over your whole life.
A decade now I've been listening to these on and off. I'd say I go through a period at least once a year of listening to these.
Also when I'm sick I listen to them for comfort lol

Yesterday I left the hospital, having said goodbye to my Grandad, who only has 1/2 days left, as he's been really ill. I put this on whilst driving home and it made me laugh and feel a little better. I don't know if Rick, Karl or Stephen ever read these comments, but I'd really like them to know how much they helped me at a very low point of my life, and I've also seen other comments like that on these pages. So thank you.
I know someone (possibly Toby) got a response from Steve after telling him how much these shows have meant to people. There was a video showing it, but it's probably been taken down if it was on Toby's channel. Maybe it's still around somewhere.

I have been through the same thing with my father and these shows and podcasts helped me through a lot.
Ricky mentioned to Karl that many people write to them and let them know how much their shows help people through some very difficult situations. It's nice that they know how much these are loved even though they go on about them being rubbish all the time.
Steves response was mostly positive, however he did, in classic smerch style, point out that he should be getting paid more if ppl are using it. Shortly afterwards Toby's channel went down lol, i wonder ;)
When he said "how people are scared of like a Cyclop", I almost died.

There's a guy with one eye lives opposite mine. My dad calls him cyclops. I was well disappointed his eye wasn't in the middle of his head.

I love the way that Ricky and Steve say “why couldn’t your Dad get a job in B&Q? He goes there a lot!” There’s definitely some stories that Karl told them but that never went out on air about his Dad nicking home improvement gear.
Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if he takes an empty tin of paint there, pops it on the shelf and walks out with a full one. His dad is/was a genuinely scabby little thief.

"Do you think Batman's history?" - proper laughed out loud at that. I've heard this show several times and that's the first time I really noticed how funny that line is.
Is it terrible that all I could think of when everyone was visiting the Queen's coffin was Steve's suggestion of the dessert trolley???
Or Karl’s suggestion about the queen mother when he said cut her up into pieces and put her on display in various locations so everyone could see.

@@opiumpilled Morally maybe (depending on who you speak to) but legally theft is theft. Neither are particularly awful (no violence/armed robbery) and without making wild assumptions I would classify them as near identical situations.

I don't think he was entirely wrong there. Some people on the autism spectrum have incredible savant like capabilities of the brain that normal people dont have. I like to think of it as just a different framework of the mind, not necessarily a disability unless you're talking about extreme cases.

Nah. The radio shows were free-to-air broadcasts, it's unlikely XFM or Steve or anyone is bothered about copyright issues on ten to fifteen year old broadcasts. There are other channels that still carry them and they aren't hard to find. If anyone wanted to report them all it wouldn't be hard to do. I think with Toby the issue might have been with uploading the actual podcasts and HBO shows which are obviously still monetised by the relevant companies and that.

I love Karl, and usually just laugh at the things he says, but in these last two episodes he says two things that drive me mental: 1. It's easier to bike up Everest than to walk it 2. If you're looking at penguins all day, how bright have you gotta be? I mean with the first one he clearly imagines mountains as being like cartoon mountains where they're just a basic triangle shape with a little bit of snow on top.
In the 2nd one he imagines the south pole is like Edinburgh Zoo.
I always get annoyed by Ricky not believing there's trash on Everest. Sure there aren't appliances, but people have left a lot of trash up there.
The time he said Anne Frank was a girl hiding in a cupboard, and not hiding that well, was the only time his stupidity has almost offended me.
