Still listen to these to help me at night , anxiety and stress relief central , wish these 3 knew how important they actually are to so many people
Been doing the same since 2013
‘Arhhhhhh forget it’ must be the ending for 50% of these radio shows 😂😂
"I can't be bothered"
"It eats the cheese or whatever"
The man is brilliant and he isn't even trying.
“I’ve got it!”
“Works dunnit?”
“No.”
Rockbusters summed up.
End of June 2021 and I'm still here
Nothing comes close to these 3
Jan 2023. My name is Marty.
@@AA-hg5fk this is not a practical joke
Has anyone ever commented on the virtue of the relative timelessness in these. I am well sure that was not planned for but its warranted! Its what makes it listening now in 2020 almost a laugh as much as in 2005 or whatever. It is amazing.
How is your vocabulary so much more advanced than your grammer 😂
@@flare2831 Where? It's grammar*. I am not being salty at all, eh! 🙂 Just wanted to point that out and ask where I went wrong? "Timelessness of these?". English is my second language, even if I did learn it at a young age in an anglophone environment.
I think I spotted "virtues"* of these... still, let me know. Thanks!
@@teo5146 haha, I'm dyslexic and barely passed English as my first language, just though it was funny how advanced your vocabulary was.
Has anyone ever commented on the timelessness of these? I am sure it was unplanned, but it is! It's what keeps me listening in 2020, laughing as much as I did in 2005**
@@flare2831 Yeah, I have a particular way of expressing myself... I am multilingual so it kind of messes with the way I communicate. Thanks for the heads up!
"What I'm sayin is "............whatever follows next always blows my mind away............
"AHH FORGET IT!"
Karl "What I Mean is..." Pilkington.
No, but that's all I'm saying.
I've never been able to listen to Wonderful Tonight the same again. It's a staple on the radio station I have on in my car, and every time it comes on, I'm imagining a little fella in a wheelchair.
+Justin Kline I like the sound of that radio station! What is it?
+Man Moth US listener here- just an extremely generic, local tin-pot classic rock station. Really cheesy. I feel the same way about the song that Ricky does, though, so I usually throw in a CD just after I've listened to enough of it to be reminded of the little fella in a wheelchair and get a good laugh.
@@justinkline8437 Do you throw in The Best Air Guitar Album Ever Vol. 2?
@@bourneultamatum Either that or the new album from The Yardbirds.
@@JustinKlineTheComedian Can I tempt you with Scotland Rocks? It's got the likes of Wet, Wet, Wet, Aztec Camera and 'Rafferty' (of the Gerry variety) on it!
"You are what you eat. What has she eaten? Girls Aloud?!" Stephen Merchant on Michelle McManus. LOL
Roderick Seed - Flute “blinkin’ hell! It was unbelievable!”
Your career would be over if you made a joke like that nowadays
@@HaydnG266 The good old days when the Twitter morality police didn't exist.
@@HaydnG266 You could say that about half the shit Ricky and Steve said on the podcast.
I say whatever I damn well please
12 years on and the exact same Love Island comments apply....
14 years on and nothing has changed
Guys I like watching Jimmy Carr
15 years
My God you're deep
15 big ones later and it still applies
44:00 “I try and learn but you don’t help” cracks me up every time 😂
Amazing how in one link Ricky goes from laughing hysterically at pulling his own tackle out for Karl, to immediately acting all high and mighty about how mooning isn’t funny.
Haha good point, I've listened to this many times but didn't consider this!
I don't think he's saying that it's not funny, just that it's such a stupid joke or low brow/low quality humor that it would be so stupid to die for it, hence Steve making the joke about how it would be fine if you had just delivered a 2 hour Eddie izzard style comedy show.
"Ooh, me minge!"
welcome to Minge London
I remember that series of Big Brother and I'm ashamed to say that I thought the chunky one was fit
J H Was that Jade Goody, god bless her?
@@thepontiacbandit7874 ….and all who sail in her
a bit of visual reference czcams.com/video/FBsqpr_nXB4/video.html
Karl asking if he could feed two leeches to another leech is another example of his endless quest to confuse things. I love how his first question always seems to be along the lines of "how can I confuse the subject"
I prefer platty helminths over leeches.
40:02 "what is up with you" does me every time lmao. Love how karl manages to get lost in his own conversation
no, seriously, have you got brain damage?
55:30
"Get me the lift!"
"What is it grand-dad?"
"Dolphins!"
"You're in no fit state, grand-dad!"
"Get me in the waaater! Get me down to Brightonnnn!"
Haha one of my favourite Gervais moments
"Get me UB40!
Get me rat in the kitchen!"
His voice 😂😂😂😂😂😂
He says 'list' . x
I'm coming to the point where I've watched them all and I'm realising the void that will be left after no other man will be able to fill.
JT thats when you start over
There’s still the podcasts
Now the joy of repeating them over and over and over ...
Oh mate I've been listening to these since 2004/5 I know them all by heart haha!
I go through these at least once a year for last 10 years. Never gets old.
I love it when Karl just goes "ohhhhhh forget it"
Whenever i hear "We're only making plans... for nigel", I always think of that video of Ricky taping Nigel up, calling him pig boy and making him eat an apple off of the floor hahahaha
+Gonk Haha, yes!
Me too! XD LOL I always think of the trotters Ricky gives him with the celotaped fists x'D
Gonk where is that video?
It;''s a bonus feature on the series one DVD of Extras.
Don't forget about Breakfast Boy with teabag earrings
WELCOME TO MINGE LONDON
3rd episode in a row that ends with karl saying forget it
Yeah lol.
57:06 you can hear something toppling over then Steve goes "I just dropped a plastic cup!" hahaha
How I never heard that before!!
You should not have cut out Wonderful Tonight - Karl's commentary throughout is priceless. He keeps "right"-ing to Ricky midway through the song as thought Ricky should know by now its a wheelchair fella.
Where did you hear it?
@@lewisrainfordkeats438 CZcams. So for example, when the lyric says "my head hurts" Karl talks over it and says "leg hurts", like he's got this auditory hallucination, it just HAS to be about a " wheelchair fella ".
@@ianinkster2261 hahahaha that’s hilarious, I’d love to hear it, you got a link or anything ?

"Mr. Yakamoto's come 'round, THROW IN SOME LEECHES!"
Well that looks like science, I'm off
I imagine its the same scientist that ate the bar of chocolate and blamed it on the bacteria
Someone please animate the Cow story... i can just picture it all in my head it would be so hilarious.
+Pooxist Good idea.
0:14 "two more shows, till we're off air for I don't know how long." :(
Is that two more shows including this one or?
Jesse Miles now we’ve only got one show. Goodnight!
At one point we switched off the Ricky Gervais show on XFM for the last time and we didn't even know it
Nick Drake (Knicked rake) actually works. One of his better ones.
17:09 the way Ricky says "take a cow if you want ahhh" always gets me and seems like it almost made Karel break lol
I've been watching too much of The Ricky Gervais show as I keep picturing the cartoons and music in particular conversations haha
The xfm shows weren't animated
+Samuel Newton captain obvious
I know I always imagine them as their cartoon form when I listen to these.
Nicked Rake is one of my favourite ever artists.
Could listen to him trying to make "Nick Drake" work all day
43:50 - 43:57 I love it when Ricky is in the middle of laughing and Karl drops in a great line which nearly makes him burst
I really wish the Clapton song and their chat during wasn’t cut, it’s so so good.
Yea me too, had to search up another video to find it
Martin Jakobsen I know !!! It’s the funniest thing in the whole ep
To interpret one of the great love songs written by Clapton about the love of his life as being about a man in a wheelchair, Karl must be a genius
Well, I’m not sure Patti Boyd *was* the love of Clapton’s life, since he has admitted that he sexually assaulted her on various occasions.
24:17 Karl says "rummanging" again
replemishing
"dolphins......get me in the water" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
“waaa-Ah”
Oh no, the best part is missing! When they are listening to Wonderful Tonight and talking over it
The little Noah - God conversation is probably my favorite scenario Rick and Steve have acted out over all the seasons.
39:26 - 41:17 As a fellow Athiest, this always puts a big smile on my face.
@@rkandathil I love watching atheist cases on CZcams telling their testimonials in hell after they die in hospital and are brought back, fascinating stuff :)
@@TheDarkhounds lolwut
@@TheDarkhounds that stuff is obviously fake
@@TheDarkhounds you're brave enough to admit you actually believe that stuff.
Then again, you believe in a magic being that watches us as we poo, so I shouldn't be too surprised.
'A big boat thingggggggg'
Im unhappy with myself for laughing at "fanny facts"😂
Little fella in a wheelchair - This one really cheered me up, God bless Karl Pilkington!
“I should be writing this down” 😂
May 16th 2024. I think this is the tenth time I listen to this
That Big Brother Ricky was talking about was the most iconic series of the show!
So good.
I think when Karl was talking about the caterpillar, he was talking about a centipede or a millipede when he brought up that they have loads of legs.
It’s amazing I don’t know how many times I come back to this
"Are you sure this wasn't a dream?"
"Same as Einstein said."
"Yeah, I just ate his brain."
"What am I saying?!"
"Minge London"
2019 and still a staple. ;)
26:16 Dont mind me, I'm just saving my favourite moments from each episode for my next round trip 👍
Does anybody else just have to go and search for the wonderful tonight bit everytime it comes up? So absurdly funny
Man Moth getting a shout out 51:08 - the episode before the end. Legends always prevail.
18:50 "...like a graveyard thing... with bodies sort of hanging out of the ground and that."
Wtf?!? How have I never noticed than in a decade???
I really miss Karl’s insertion of “aching leg” in Lovely Tonight. I guess it was cut for copyright concerns.
Imagine nowadays if suddenly these 3 started a live stream.
That would "break the internet"
20:42 sounds like XFM news - "once this big dog chased me..."
Just took a pepperami out the fridge and started tucking in when Ricky described it as a curdled blood bogey....
18:50 "bodys hangin out of the ground an that" xD
It so scary that this is almost 20 years old
Welcome to Minge London.
1946..
Rationing then though for 10 years..
56?
But there's a lot of science going on then
Oh forget it!
Listened to these nightly now for almost 20 years.......does that make me sad? A loser? A psychopath (or physco as a poorly spelt tattoo once branded a girl?)
Don't care, there's enough in these shows/podcasts/specials that it NEVER gets old.....Thank you RSK for keeping me sane through some of the most difficult times of my life.......
No matter how bad things have got, I've always had bedtime to look forward to thanks to these 3......✌❤✌
When I go to bed every night I toss and turn and struggle with suicidal thoughts. This show really makes that easier. It does help to deafen those thoughts. I hope you're doing good, friend.
There is something about the part where Ricky said contestants on a reality show will "wank off pigs" that made me laugh uncontrollably :D
+Jex2112 Wonked off a pog
"Get me down to Brighton"
What's awkward is that we really don't have any dolphins... there was a famous April Fools prank by the local radio station one year, which got thousands of people to flock to the beach, but it wasn't true. There are rarely dolphins to be seen off the coast of Brighton!
for anyone who is listening this for the first time check out the full wonderful tonight review on another video, its probably one of the highlights of all these series
Link much? 🐳
Anglus Patria search wonderful tonight - Karl Pilkington on CZcams it will be there
once this big dog chased me
it took me this long to come back round.
I'm here again!
Joe Kane you've got a perfect 2 month cycle!
I like your style
Joe Kane read this just as I heard it. Perfect.
Awright? Thanks for uploading these shows an' tha', so...
Thanks for uploading all of these. I constantly re listen!! Thank you!
this is great ive been listening to these podcasts from 9am-5pm every weekday for the last 2 months and i know it all of by heart but somehow ive never heard some of this stuff! find more!
You KNOW the Ricky answering the door story is true because "It's not that hot" is pure Karl.
Finally whacked on ladder 49, great cast btw!!
Welcome to Minge London!
Missing the Song With a Story compared to other recordings I listened to.. I’ll always remember Ricky yelling and saying “To me, this bloke’s got a great pair of legs” and Karl going “mmm hmm” as if everything sang is justification
Love that this is still online
"Something's said"
A pod of around 30 dolphins came & swam with my boys in a bay at Venus Bay South Australia it was amazing
karina andersen do we really need them though? Next week on pilkington
just be careful because there's some of them with guns now. on straps 'n that.
Didn’t even remember commenting before. A year it must take for me to work my way through these
Ricky Telling Karl off at 40:00 😂 sounded like exactly like my dad when he has a go at me
Love the bit from 4:25 to 4:43 ish when you can just hear Ricky laughing through his nose waiting for Karls punch line about 'not knowing where theyre going an tha' haha
Anyone else notice that Karl says "rummanging" in this episode?
yes😂
Yes, it was added to the list of Karl's words and phrases, like "badder", "frightenedness", "uppered" and "they weren't properly".
@@NxDoyle and 'avin me ed squoze
Uppered’s my favourite
28:03 Tottenham Court Road quip from Steve. Gold.
I remember me and Mrs Glozboy were on a walk and we came across a field of cows. They faced us down and we had to turn back. A few years later we had a similar thing happened, then Mrs Glozboy sneezed and they legged it in terror. Cows are weird.
4:54 I love Steve.
39:44 and Noah didn't even have special brew to get some kip :p
Those nutrient drinks in a can are the perfect hangover cure, surprised Ricky was not aware of them
I never knew 'Wonderful Tonight' was about an interabled couple, thanks Karl!
Gotta be honest.... I like a pepperami
i used to until they called them blood bogeys, that kinda put me off them for life whether its true or not !
Yeah, I buy one from time-to-time. Perhaps a few times per year.
I'll never forget when I first tried one. I thought they were disgusting, only to find out later that you weren't supposed to eat the thin sheath wrapper.
I think that says more about you buddy ole pal
From what I understand about what the UK refers to as a pepperami, I'm also a fan of things like Slim Jims here in the US. So processed, but it's a good little snack.
"We haven't got a bassist"
8:52 "...It eats the cheese or whatever..."
Still no mammoths, i guess the scientists agreed with Karl that we didn't need um.
SupaDr00g I gave it a quick google there and an article from 2017 said that it’s probably two years before they’ll be back. So it’s still on track apparently
Funny how Karl says cats are pointless and now he and Suzanne have their own.
he said that about the ipod..
but now he's got songs with a story on loop 🎶
ManMoth, have you come to rescue us after the sad demise of TobyOdlin as he did when BarneyBrabazon became a tragic victim of the CZcams Nazis'? x
BigJamook Manmoth is our lord and savour, Karl, 2:15
The Lord, our Pilkington and ManMoth, a disciple and we the followers. Amen. A far more real belief system too! x
BigJamook liam jarvis Haha, you guys crack me up! It is a very Good belief system though. Amen.
Glad to please our lord! Amen.
RIP BarneyBrabazon
34:05 - Karl's story about annoying the charity woman is actually quite a good way to get rid of them lol. I'd love to witness that conversation and her face when he was saying "What about if they av a headache?"
You should be knighted for uploading all of these hahaha love them!
Edited out the best bit!
In the Eric Clapton song they forget to mention the biggest clue to Karl’s theory: “…and she helped me to bed.” I can imagine they were arguing frantically during the song and missed it
Type "Karl Pilkington wonderful tonight" in CZcams and you can hear the argument over the song. Funniest four minutes ever!
"ahhh forget it" 😂
That nutrient drink on a brick wall in a council estate was spot on. 😅
haha i've seen hundreds over the years 😅
Excellent hangover cure though
I always tune in and its either then end of XFM, Karl is leaving or its Christmas
you gotta find the audio of karl and ricky talking over Wonderful Tonight. They keep the mics up for it.
