    There are solutions to all problems buying another tune doesn't sound like the best solution. We have tuned hundreds and hundreds of bmws (actual number is in the thousands)
    Have an issue? Datalog! Send in logs! Etc..... You can always email us or call us for help! If you really end up not happy you can have us connect. Unflash the car, mail back your stuff and get your money back. Our goal is happy customers. I do what I love and want people to enjoy our products!

      Don't get me wrong. I know, and many others know you are a very skilled tuner with great experience. A local to me has a built s52 with a gt30 turbo swapped in an e30 that you tuned and it has been breaking hearts around here for years no problems. Runs strong. It is just time to try something new, not necessarily better. I've sent multiple data logs with responses from you that nothing seems wrong. You definitely know better than I do especially on that front. That's the reason I changed a bunch of parts before deciding to change software at the very last. BMW shops tell me mechanically or electronically nothing is wrong either. There's literally nothing else I can swap on the car with hardware since I've already done pretty much everything. The only thing left for me to change is the software at this point. For the sake of being able to drive this car after not being able to pass emissions for 12 months, I'm just continuing to troubleshoot.

    I'm a fairly new E36 owner so I'm by no means an expert, but from what I've learned so far, the stock injectors are already pretty well maxed out with the stock tune. So, with the greater airflow of your Dinan intake, M50 manifold, and especially the tune, I would guess your M3 was running pretty lean. Even with a better MAF this could cause a host of issues, as the computer would be demanding more fuel than the poor 21 pounders were capable of delivering. With the new injectors, the required fuel can be delivered, and voilà! I'd be willing to bet it's the customers with all the intake mods having problems with RK, and the customers that kept their airboxes that were problem free.
    I've followed your channel for some time now, and this last Memorial Day finally bought my very own '97 M3 coupe in Hellrot. I l o v e this car and will never look back!

  • @mrnoname35
    @mrnoname35 Před 4 lety

    Just to add some more informations about this.
    These are in fact Volvo injectors, type 'EV6'. It's a major difference over the stock E36 injectors (type 'EV1'), because these 'EV6' injectors have 4 discharge outlet holes instead of one single for the 'EV1' stock type. It's a newer technology with a better fuel atomization/spray pattern, and a faster response time. So it's not just about flow rate in your case, but also a different injector design.
    I have been using these injectors on my euro S50B32 since 2016, as they have an almost identical flow rate than the stock ones, and they are an interesting upgrade/replacement.

    Let me clarify here. Jordan at RK is a very talented tuner. I've seen a lot of reliable turbo BMWs making a lot of power tuned by him. Remote tunes are always a bit more challenging than in person. I'd be willing to give him a shot on another tune on a diff car but it just wasn't working out on this one with this setup and the service too too long for me to keep waiting forever for answers. Luckily I was able to sort this out. Keep ripping, my friends!

    Did mine years ago when I put in Turner Stage 3 in the dark in my apartment parking lot without spilling a drop.
    (actually one of the new injectors had a bad O-ring so I had to do that one a second time after smelling fuel the whole first day)

      @@andrewp7023 I did not dyno my car, at least not the M3.
      I chose Romraider as I needed something that I could tune myself on my very custom e36 328is project car, I built an engine head for it. The software has phenomenal support and is actively always being improved by the community that developed it. I have control over basically every useful table in the ecu. I do highly recommend it and the price is right (free). I did have to buy a flashing software and a cable that all was about $45.

    Do you have an extra maf laying around anywhere?
    Btw... When taking off the plugs of the injector, i used a small pick to push the little clip to the side. Then i wiggle the wire harness so it goes pass the little notch. Then i put the clips back in place because i know im gonna lose it lol(i was cleaning the injectors). For the clips on the fuel rails, i just use a plier.( i launched one with a flathead into the bushes and lost it. Got some from the junk yards)
