  • It’s hard to compare the two tractors because the WM 75 is an economy tractor and the Massey is a deluxe tractor. But I’m going to give a shot in this video.

That's a heck of a nice tractor! I bet it really improves your haying operation this summer since you took on more acres.
I can't wait to see more videos on it. Have a great weekend and Stay Warm!!!

Hey Brother, glad to see you updating equipment. I've run Massey before and really liked the power to weight ratio. I run the Japanese built 4608 and don't know about the Chinese built 4700 series but found that mine had an issue with bolts vibrating out. I recommend having ceramic tint put on the windows especially in our Texas heat. I've updated to a NH T4-90 and a Case IH 110C. I really haven't kept close watch on your videos but I'm very proud of how you have maintained Joes costal field. Good luck Pard.

I am a Massey guy. I have a 4607 and the stabilizer bars on it work as your Work Master 75. I don't think I would like the style on the 4610. But it is a Massey and to me, that is a good thing! I enjoyed your video.

Looks like a slick machine Chris. I think you're going to really enjoy running it. I'm 5'9", so the cab size doesn't bother me about the Workmaster 75. I could definitely see how it would feel cramped for a 6'2" guy though. The lower links would be tough to get use to, but I could see the advantages of the threaded style. Especially when disconnecting from a three point disc mower. Here we are in mid January, and hay season can't get here soon enough! Ha ha. Take good care

This was my first video of your channel that I watched. I really like the comparison that you made between the WM 75 and this Massey 4710, plain and simple, to the point. I've already watched several of your video's and I will be commenting on those as I go back and watch them and more. My son just bought a Workmaster 120, I like that your giving an honest opinion, you make some real good observations here. Thanks and have a great day.

We've got a small 125 acre farm and after running smaller tractors (for the most part) for years, I finally bought a much larger 4707 last fall. I really like the tractor overall and it has some nice features, but things keep going wrong on it. The 3pt hitch controls have never worked properly, it started puking coolant out all over the back of the cab, and the hood won't stay up when you raise it. The dealer just sent a truck to pick it up today and bring it back so they can work on those issues. I got it with the FL3615 loader and that is fantastic. They better get it all fixed, because I really like the tractor and want it back on the farm.

Great, no BS, overview. I’ve been planning for the 4707 to be my next tractor, but I’ll do some research on the Workmaster based on your experience. I agree, every brand sells tractors that have issues. A good dealer makes the difference. Sounds like you have one.

Love everything about the Massey but dealers in my area. I want one but where I’m at Massey dealers are non existent pretty much. I’ve got a new Holland workmaster and a Massey 231. Went to a “dealer” for a belt for my 231 and they didn’t have one. Two new Holland dealers in my vicinity so parts are crazy easy to get. Hoping I find a big Massey dealer close to me when I upgrade to a cab

Chris, I have two John Deere’s and just purchased a 75 work master recently. I really like the tractor, but was wondering where you got the auxiliary hydraulic set up to add the extra capacity of the rear hydraulics. I plan on using the work master with a disc mower and don’t want to strain the rear hydraulics. Thank you.

Virtually the same price with my trade so if i had to give up the FL loader or Dyna 2. Not sure what to do lol.

I hear ya! I would say don’t settle because if you get half of what you want after the deal is done and a year has gone by, you will be wishing you would have waited. Can you look further out in another state and pay the extra cost to have it delivered? If your dead set on one of those two tractors I would say go with the dyna 2. It is very nice having the extra gears and the brake to neutral feature.

Definitely looks like a nice tractor. I have always liked masseys. I am thinking about trying to pickup where you’re leaving off on the workmaster videos. Maybe do a northern cold weather version. I just have to figure out how to upload videos and edit them so they’re a quality video. If you have any tips that would be great. I did reply to someone’s comment about their tractor freezing up like mine did last year. Hopefully my advice was helpful. I’ve been watching your haying videos to hopefully start doing my own one of these days and stop buying it.
