    Can I got from reverse to forward with the brake to neutral?

    Essentially it's a dual power (or from the old MFs, the multi-power) transmission... interesting. This is what I was kind of waiting for in, can make it for a really nice haying tractor.

      Great for a haying tractor! It’s certainly not new technology but nice to have at the price point and the addition of brake to neutral and speed matching make it even better.

    Looking at the transmission specifications, it appears as though the Dyna 2 *adds* a 1/2 gear to each gear, so 1st gear low (turtle) on a Dyna 2 is the exact same ratio as 1st gear on the standard 12x12. As an owner of a new 4707 with the 12x12, the only way for the Dyna 2 to be desirable for me would be if the optional transmission subtracted a 1/2 gear from each gear (in other words, it added a 1/2 gear below each standard gear, not above), because 1st gear in the 12x12 is a wee bit high. The Dyna 2 doesn't fix that.
    As far as the FL series loaders go, I'm so glad I got the FL3615. It's an excellent loader and better than expected for a farm tractor. Overall, the 4700 series MF is a pretty awesome package. Now, if my dealer could just fix my 3pt hitch controls, the leaking coolant, and hood that won't stay up I'd be even happier with it.

      First off bummer your dealer isn’t handling those issues for you. If you’re anywhere close we’d be glad to help. Second, I’m curious what application you’re running that requires slower than the first gear? Vegetable farming maybe?

      @@prequipmentsales Thanks for the offer. My dealer came out yesterday and picked up the tractor after they couldn't fix it at our farm a few weeks ago. I'm hoping they figure it all out, because this tractor is a keeper.
      Most of the work I do with the tractor centers around materials handling (loam and processed gravel for driveways and barnyards here), wood processing for our outdoor wood boiler, and loading cages of panels onto and off of trailers for my concrete business. I move trailers around a lot, too, and that's when I found out about the 3pt hitch controls not working properly.
      We do have about 35 acres to corn and about 15 acres to hay, but they are leased to another local farm that needed the extra acreage, so our equipment isn't needed for that work or harvest at this time.

      While the controls have certainly been updated the Dyna family of transmissions hasn’t changed all that much. They’ve had a fairly good history in Massey tractors. When I worked for Agco I actually got to visit the GIMA plant in France where the drivetrains are built and then rolled next door to the Massey plant where the tractors are assembled. Cool stuff! Thanks for watching!

      @@prequipmentsales that’s sweet. It’s been the best transmission that I’ve used on the bigger tractors. I like the HST for smaller ones. I appreciate you guys’ channel. Your content is legit. It makes it even better when you’re not far from my hometown, as well lol.

    Does Massey make their own motors?

    • @prequipmentsales
      @prequipmentsales  Před 2 lety +2

      They do! Agco Power is based in Finland and has been powering 70hp and up Massey tractors for about 15 years.
