    The Massey shuttle shift is the best in the industry. No other brand has as smooth of transition from forward to reverse, or just starting from a stop. No need to use the clutch pedal. I have a new 4710 dyna 2 coming this fall to use around the farm and for our excavating company. Great comparison that is totally factual. Thanks for the video.

    Yes, I've never understood peoples outlook on these. The Deere's I've gotten into are always super compact and uncomfortable. Honestly the Massey's that better compared to Deere's current 5075E's would have been the 4200 series tractors built in the late 90's, but even then those still had nicer features than the Current Deere's.

    Before I bought my Powerstar 75 I looked at the JD 5075, and the Massey 4707. The Massey was nice but it felt wayyy too bulky and the cab is huge compared to rest of tractor. The PTO hp is also too low for the size of tractor it is, and to me felt way underpowered. It came down to me between the JD and NH. I went with the NH because of price but really wanted the JD. • @JROC734
      @JROC734 Před rokem +1

      @@prequipmentsales they're also significantly better. An easy example as to why I would make this claim would be to compare their transmissions. I think you're making a false claim. Just because you picked a dealership that marked the Deere way up doesn't give a true comparison on listed prices from the OEM. Pretty sure a 4700 series opinioned out compared to a 5E with similar power optioned out that the MSRP on the 4700 series is noticeably higher. Prices on Tundras are high, and marked up, so is comparing a Tundra to a Ram 2500 a fair comparison?
      Before I bought my 5075E I compared it to a M7060, and a 2607H. When you look at their features, weight, loader/3PH specs, tire options, wheelbases, and MSRP's it's obvious that these are the tractors meant to compete with the 5075E. I wanted the 2607H because it reminds me if the older Fords I grew up on, it's the best looking IMO, and it sounded the best. Still it's price better reflect it's value which it didn't. It's cash price was fair, but it's finance price was terrible compared to the 5E and M60. First to compare them to the 2600H you have to buy OSS which is what I was shopping for. Second, after going on a year trying to get a 2607H for a fair price the best I was ever quoted in 17/18 for a MFWD/911X machine was $36,750, while the best prices I got for the M7060 was $36,000, and $36,200 for the 5075E and these are both 12x12 powershuttle tractors. Other than the powershuttles both the Deere and Kubota have noticeably higher rated loaders and 3PH's, wet clutches instead of dry clutches like the 2600H, biggers seats/flatter floors/larger operator areas, better control placement especially the hand throttles, tilt steeringwheels, tighter turning radius's, noticeably larger gas tanks, 540/540E PTO's, their not TAFE tractors which many people don't like. The 2607H advantages were no regen, (even though my 75E only regens at every 100 hours because the computer doesn't let it go over that without a regen, and the 2023 5E 3 cylinder tractors switched from DPF to DOC like the MF has) the little ball 3PH mounts setup for both cat1 and cat2 implements is covenant, and the 06H/07H both get 2 rear remotes as standard, where the 5E and M60 make you have to spend extra money to get and extra 1 or 2 rear remotes.
      The biggest issue for the M60 is it lacks weight where the 75E and 07H both weigh almost 6,000 lbs dry. The biggest issue I find with the 75E is it's down a 2 or 3 PTO HP to the other machines. The biggest problem for the 2600H is it lacks desirable features, and capabilities that put it behind the 5E and M60 Series, but it's not reflected in the price unless you're able, or even willing to drop all the money down on it at once.
      See what I did there.?.? I gave and honest and fair comparison between three machines that are made to compete directly will one another. Comparing a 4700 to a M4 like people are asking for seems like a waste of time to anyone who's not a fanboy looking to feel good listening to his favorite brand getting propped up against a competitors brand. A bigger, longer, heavier tractor like the 4700 series will outshine it on paper. With that said I like the 4700 series a lot, and think that they can be both for a great valve. I'd look at a 4700 series tractor if I was looking for something larger than my 75E.

      @@nalley6815 you're either stupid or you're not man enough to own reality here, and are a slave to a bias like someone with too much estrogen. I mean seriously do you really not understand what's being said here, or are you just a beta male? I'm asking you this in all seriousness. A MF competitor to a JD 5E is a 2600H series. Anyone who says otherwise is stupid, or a lying male who can't own a fact. This is as stupid as comparing a F150 to a Silverado 2500. When you look at MSRP, weight, wheelbase, features, 3PH/FEL capabilities, tires, etc the 2607H is a JD 5075E's competition from MF. It's not Deeres fault that MF refuses to give that machine a Powershuttle, wet clutch, 540E, a flatter/larger deck, cab option, etc, but if they're not going to offer these things then they shouldn't put a 2600H in the same price bracket as a 5E. Deere, Kubota, CIH, etc all offer these options in this price/size range. MF does not. A 4700's weight, wheelbase, wheel/tires put it in a 5M's class. Unfortunately a 4700's FEL/3PH capabilities, transmission or wide tire options put a 5075M well above a 4707 as it should be based on the prices a 5M commands compared to a 4707. MF has built some inbetween tractor so that people like this dude can hype a MF by bashing a smaller Deere. How about do this same type of comparison between a 2607H and a 4707.?.?.? Bet you won't because it would look bad on a 2607H

      I ran the build and price tool on both tractors just a couple weeks ago. The John Deere 5075E with standard cab, 1 remote, 4x4, power shuttle and 520M non self leveling loader came out to $70,700
      To add Premium Cab(closer to Massey’s deluxe cab) and a second remote to the 5075E it’s another $6,000
      The Massey 4707 with deluxe cab, FL3522 mid spec loader with soft ride, 2 remotes air ride seat etc is $71,870
      And after all that the Massey is still 2500lbs of more tractor.
      Yes the M series Deere is a much closer comparison in terms of specs and features although it’s significantly more expensive than the Massey.
      Seems like a pretty fair comparison dollar wise which was exactly my intention!
      I will definitely redo the comparison with the ‘23 model and the M as soon as I get that opportunity. One thing to note in terms of trying to be fair I intentionally didn’t beat the Deere up about emissions because I knew Deere was finally gonna figure out how to avoid regen in ‘23.

      Standard. When this video was made a couple years ago there was no such thing as a premium cab on an E series. Hope to get my hands on one in the near future to do a video comparison to it as well. I can say while the cab will be more comparable at that point, obviously still won't match drivetrain. Also the price point jumps and we can usually beat a premium cab E on price.

Yes I do agree you get a lot of standard features on the Massey ferguson that you don't get on the Deere and I do agree that charging extra$$ for some of those features is a bit much. However do bare in mind that while John deere does get a little bit greedy when it comes to those features. This is a company that's been around for over a Century the customer base is huge along the dealerships. Hell you can't toss a rock over here in Idaho without hitting a John Deere dealership 😆😆. Customer support is very good parts availablely is very good plus the resale value on a John Deere is second to none plus they're made in the United States as opposed to the Massey 4707 which is made in Brazil 🇧🇷 and shipped to United States 🇺🇸. So you got that wait time. Plus when it comes to being able to look inside one good luck so far none of the dealerships in Idaho have one meanwhile I've seen plenty of the 5E tractors at one of the dealerships close to where I live. So if I needed a tractor right now I'd have to go with the JD just on availability alone. Sorry Massey ferguson.
