    - Loader Capacity
    - Reliability
    - Comfort
    - Service Requirements
    - Purchase Price
    - Total Cost of Ownership
    - Dealer Quality and Reliability within a One Hour Radius of the Ranch
    - Anticipated Sustainability and Future Health of the Brand/Company

    Congrats, I am a new owner also and taking delivery within 2 weeks for the same model. I purchased mine from a 3rd generation Family-owned dealer in Shiner Texas. Your Excitement and reaction to being a new owner of the New Holland Workmaster 75 was great to see. I am also coming from an open station Kabota Tractor an looking forward to the change. Keep the video's coming as your reviews and tips of ownership of the NHW75.

    Very good video on the workmaster thanks. Also what was the after market piece you had added to the loader joystick to move it closer? And what is the button on the loader joystick for?

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem +3

      Hi William, My comment about the loader controls being too far forward was not uncommon. I’m not sure if there is a part number or name, but the dealer changed the plastic trim around the loader control and brought it back several inches. It might be their own custom modification. I am not sure. The buttons on the stick are your 3rd function button. I plan to add another set of hydrolics for the front, allowing me to use a grapple and other similar items. The buttons will control this piece. The Workmaster came pre wired for the 3rd function. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. Have a great Christmas. RS

    Does yours whine when in 4wd? At about 1200-1400rpm. Also, keep an eye on the rivets holding the condenser to its frame, ours worked loose and started wearing the condenser. We also had an issue with rain getting in the main connector in front of engine bay, everytime it got wet tractor wouldnt run right. The oring was rolled/pinched from assembly. If you plan to mow hay with it and use a 3point disc mower you need the auxiliary cylinder. The front hub on ours broke aswell.

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem

      Thus far, I have not noticed whining in 4WD. This said, I use it somewhat sparingly and keep ours in 2WD for day to day work when it's dry. I will give this a test this week and shoot you a note if I notice anything out of the ordinary.

      @Railhead Ranch I appreciate it. We have a little over 600hr and 2.5 years on ours, the cab has made work much easier. I gotta figure out where it's losing coolant too. Cnh changed fluid providers and I can't get the coolant that came in it and Im afraid to mix coolants. What color is your coolant? Blue?

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem

      @@ricksanchez7459 Great question. I don't think we have hit 100hrs. I have checked coolant, but I do not recall the color and have not yet had to add. I'll check on this.

      Make sure your tires are all the same PSI. If they aren't, if can cause a whine, and knock when disengaging out of 4wd back to 2wd. I run a NH H6740 8' disc mower for cutting hay, and it has zero issues lifting it. The 3 point is rated to lift way more than what a typical 3 point mount disc mower weighs. That's strange you had issues with that. I hope it's a great tractor for you guys! Mine has been good for the most part. Still loving it.

    Does it have the creeper gear setting as well for tilling and other ground operations?

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem

      Hi David, It has three ranges and 4 gears per range. Range 1 gear 1 is very low. I think you could till or do other fine groundwork in the bottom of the middle range. RS

  • @dennisthomason3266
    @dennisthomason3266 Před rokem

    What gear are you using to run a disk mower

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem

      I better let someone else chime in here. I haven’t baled or used a disc mower with the Workmaster. My mowing has been exclusively with the 12’ Wood Batwing. Initially, I was going to purchase a 15’, but the dealer said I might be underpowered. After using this 110 hrs, I disagree. I know this wasn’t your question, but with a batwing in fairly tall grass, I can still mow in 2nd range 3rd gear with the batwing.

    did you comparw the t 75 with workmaster 75 ?

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem

      Hi, In short, yes. I compared all of the 75hp tractors from reputable dealers in the immediate service area of the ranch. The Workmaster just had the most bang for the buck. I need capability, but also value as a critical investment. This seemed to be the best value. RS

      I like it quite a bit. I would shop Case/Massey Ferguson side by side with New Holland. Both great machines and good companies. I have a really good NH Dealer in La Grange, which helps quite a bit. Check out the 200 hr video. You can see some of what we have done with ours.

    The one thing you didn't mention that I noticed is how quiet the cab was .
    On a negative note if you have your radio on you can't listen to your machine , that is the key to keeping your machine in operating condition . By great video .

    • @RailheadRanch
      @RailheadRanch  Před rokem +1

      Larry, Very good point. The cab is extremely quiet and you definitely need the stereo off to hear the engine and other moving parts. This said, I have really enjoyed this after being in an open air situation for so long previously. I still have only 50 hrs on the Workmaster. I plan on doing a review at 100hrs. This is definitely a good point of discussion for the next video. Thank you for the insight. -RS
