- If Hercule (Mr Satan) chose to embrace his fame a little too much, would his becoming the King of Earth lead to its very doom? Find out how Gohan, Videl and Vegeta are involved in this full story.
So what might happen if Hercule was evil? What If DBZ and its hero was not meant to be? After the Cell Games in Dragon Ball Z , we have Hercule making use of his newfound fame...despite Super Saiyan 2 Gohan actually winning against Perfect Cell! This Dragonball what if is interesting. However, Hercule's new challenger is the King of Earth. The Age is 767. The Cell Games have been and gone. The likes of Hercule, Jimmy Firecracker and the rest of the Dragon Team have witnessed the most spectacular and terrifying battle in the history of Planet Earth; on top of having said goodbye to their friend Goku, who gave up his life in vein and yet his son carried his wishes for you ultimately. Gohan had defeated Cell and all the Dragon Team were extremely relieved to have heard and seen that. However, in the eyes of Hercule, this was not something ideal. Sure, that Golden Warrior's kid had defeated Perfect Cell, Earth was safe...but the champ had to...turn the eyes of the populace toward him. In true blustering fashion, Hercule found the likes of the ZTV commentator and his cameraman and pulled them up from the rubble, having hidden when things got really dicy. He had taken precautions to look battle damaged by scuffing up his clothes and adding the odd rip here or there. It was enough. Waxing lyrical to the reporter, the cameraman was able to get audio going again and the martial artist regailed the awaiting crowds across the worlds about his defeating of the evil Cell and now Majin Vegeta! What If Hercule Became The King Of Earth?

Why did you change the title of the what if?
I have to admit that this is a feasible concept and you're a good creator, Sir. Even though I do feel Hercule is a fake and glory hog. Except that in the main canon Hercule at least did use enough of his fame and money to still provide for his daughter and didn't actually try to attack or demean Gohan and steal his chance of being happy with Videl. As well as being a good grandfather to Pan. Plus, this "Evil" Hercule just works. Especially with Babidi getting involved.

The image of Vegeta yelling at the TV with a beer is just too funny.
I can just imagine him getting upset his sports team lost.

And the image of Gohan destroying vegeta feels familiar
"YOU ARE A PRINCE OF A CEMETERY!!!!" That's the most badass line I've ever heard. Damn.
Ahh Yes The One Time Hercule Goes To The Dark Side
And of course, when the heart turns to the dark side, EVERYONE gets screwed over.
Even if Gohan doesn't want to erase Earth's memories of him for allegedly being responsible of King Hercule's death, it won't stop Chi-Chi to go get Bulma's Dragon Radar, find the Dragon Balls and wish Shenron to do that by herself.
Chi Chi: “I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR PSYCHOLOGICAL DAMAGE GOHAN!!! YOU STILL NEED TO PURSUE YOUR SCHOLARLY STUDIES!!!”

I have seen the whole of this story before. Now the ending is harsh because we have the Golden haired phantom, a warrior that no longer wishes to fight, and the rest of the Dragon Team just scattered to the wind. If you wanted to, you could probably continue this as a different story.
If you do make a sequel and have the Z Fighters comeback and also clear their name. Maybe some of Babidi's henchmen gather the Dragon Balls to bring back the bad guys for the redemption of The Dragon Teams.

In my head, revelation f would be the next part of the story and in the aftermath, Magenta and the Neo red ribbon army take control.

This "what if..." is criminally under-viewed , I've listened to a number of these stories, and this is the second time listening to this in full, and it's one of the best, in tone, writing and of course, the superb delivery by MasakoX.
Showing the potential of a story, with how a small change in character can cause drastic consequences

Masako you should write movies that was a damn good story.
The Twists and Turns were exiting.
Turned into a 60’s era WW2 story near the end, honestly I wouldn’t mind seeing an adaptation of this story. It’s incredibly unique in comparison to almost any other “What If” and while it had a bittersweet ending, we don’t get many of those nowadays so I think it works. Besides as we already know, heaven isn’t so bad in the Dragon world, who knows if he would go to heaven though considering everything he did. I mean even Vegeta in the Buu arc didn’t go to heaven, and this is after all the good he did, relatively good anyway.

Hercule isn't a bad person and you could argue babidi made things worse. Would be cool if Goku would be willing to give Herc a good word and for him to be given a chance
I would like a story that continues after this because things can play very differently than the normally would from this point on.

YEP, THAT ABOUT SUMS IT UP. NO FUN MARTIAL ARTS SPACE OPERA HERE, JUST D E P R E S S I O N.
Still feel this story is prime for a Super Sequel or a spinout like Revelation F.
A world where the Z fighters are separated but fighting for a unified goal to bring things back to normal.
A world where Vegeta fights not out of pride or fun, but out of duty and penance.
A world where Gohan is isolated from his friends and the other Z fighters fight to bring him back.
Perfect material for a story, especially with the Tensions between the Godly conflicts of Super clashing with the Heavy Earthly conflict here.
Imagine after the invasion of Frieza and Morro, Red Pharmaceuticals is galvanized to bring back the Red Ribbon Army, seeing that Earth isn't safe against these Galactic Threats...and some people agree with them recalling the Earth under Mr.Satan.
Of what if Zamasu comes to the Present Timeline to eradicate humanity due to the stain on existence that Mr.Satan and his legacy is, bringing Videl into the conflict as Zamasu would judge her for the sins of her father.
Overall I think this story is amazing and I love the different use of Hercule and a more social interpretation of evil within the DB universe, my only real complaint is that the Majin Vegeta part felt a bit forced, but apart from that I love this What If Story!!!!
I mean, it was forced here as it was the original series.
Idk, Vegeta in both ocassions just happened to have the worst state of mind at the worst time.

While not the best arc, Frieza blew up earth in his revival arc, which means Hercule has been offed in the series, just not individually

If there was a sequel to this I could actually see a bit of a time skip, where it is revealed that Vegeta while keeping his promise to never fight again has become the sole teacher to Trunks and Goten.
Working very hard not just to teach them how to fight themselves and get stronger… but to be better than himself, maybe even trying to temper Trunks ego in fear that he might grow up to do stupid things like he did.

What if Goku was a bad guy at the start and Vegeta was a good guy at the start? Essentially, reversing their positions at the start of the story.
There is a fan manga that did that exact thing, it's called Dragon Ball Sai I believe. Though I have no idea if it's finished by now 🤔
Now that, I would be intrigued by 🤔☺️
@No1AlastorSimp I think he means Goku still goes to Earth and Vegeta still stays firmly in Frieza's rule, but Vegeta has a pure heart and Goku is a violent egomaniac

Evil Hercule and King Hercule are the same character, the story itself just had its name changed for the full story release. Though I feel like Z-Fighter Hercule would utterly stomp King Hercule due to the latter not having trained as hard as the former, especially due to his kingly duties.
