“The Indiana purchase!”
Thank you Trevor
David Copperfield is not from Great Expectations. David Copperfield is from David Copperfield.
I love that you can distract Jeremy by saying something about Fallout.
Plus you can tell about what time they recorded this.
D. Spears. I hate that they cut it
Because Fallout is the second best game series in the world
Skill Gaming Hungary what’s the first
edit: never mind it’s roblox
Jaime Quiambao Elder Scrolls
Skill Gaming Hungary
Not anymore :(
The ongoing David Copperfield debate about what book he's from physically hurt me.
Even if you don't know all Dickens book titles the question literally said the magician said it is his favourite book because it share his name, the answer is both the name of the magician and the book.
World of colors, did anyone have flashbacks about the murder party trivia when Jeremy got pissed off about the color question even though he won?
Don't forget the glorious thing that happened right after that :
"Which ones are water Pokemon"
Jeremy: SSSEEEEYYAAH BIIITTCCHEESSSS!
generic lets play watcher you make an excellent point xD
Which video is that exactly, do you know? I kinda want to see that now
Charles McClure which tmp was that?
John Angelle the one with mega 64
The Erie canal was finished. Various extensions (including one as far as Indiana) might not have been finished before railroads made them economically unsustainable, but the main canal (which was a New York state exclusive project) was actually finished.
The David Copperfield conversation had Geoff rolling over in his grave.
"This magician shares his name with a book!" "David Copperfield!" "What book was he in?" basically
TheBioRules Even complete ignorance of Dickens was no excuse when the question gave it away.
RIP Goeff
Martin Joyce is Geoff dead?
moviemaker2011z I'm afraid I can't speculate. Seems plausible, though.
"You think I threw my knee out painting a wall?" I love the way trevor talks. His phrasing is always bizarre in the best way.
I'm still pissed that this version doesn't have Trebek, the set, or really anything that makes Jeopardy what it is (aside from the rules). It's like replacing Mario with a stick figure and the Goombas into rolling balls; it "works", but it's soulless.
DAMMIT GAVIN SKYRIMS GLASS ARMOR IS MADE FROM MALACHITE AND ITS GREEN
Nullsparta2 doesn’t the glass armor also break? i feel like i’ve had a glass weapon break on me before.
I thought the same. When Gavin was talking about No Man's Sky or Astronauts, I was like "uuh... SKYRIM MAYBE??"
Yeah, but Skyrim isn't to be trusted. According to it, corundum is a metal, and not, y'know, the stuff that sapphires and rubies are made of.
Spood Beest Yeah, and Ebony is a metal rather than a wood. Either that, or you're mining wood out of the ground.
Myne33 no but I do want to know what you're smoking because you must've been hella high to think that any gear in skyrim breaks. There's no durability mechanic. It all lasts forever.
"Gimme that, bing-bong!"
Laughed too hard.
Ah yes, more trivia-based videos where we can watch gavin and the crew not know basic things while we complain in the comments.
10/10 would complain again hehe
Kyle Li Yes! :D
Hey weren't you a top comment on a Vox video about Trump? How are you top comment everywhere I go
“ver sauce”
Rabble, Rabble, Rabble.
10/10 like count.
Before I watch, let me preemptively say - "I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DIDNT KNOW THAT THING! ITS COMMON KNOWLEDGE!"
Oliver Record you think you're joking but that comment is basically this entire video.
"Do I look like I'm full of Dickins?"
I haven’t watched the full video yet but I would like to congratulate Jeremy in advance. He’s the smartest person in the room after all.
Edit: oh sHIT
Sofiayayayey - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
It is funny how many of these (counting Trivial Pursuit too)Jeremy has won and he still hasn't caught on.
Actually buzzing in when it’s 50-50, at least in this game, when you and your opponent are both clueless is strictly bad. Either way, you have a fifty percent chance of getting it right and getting the points. But if you buzz, the you have a fifty percent chance of getting it wrong and losing the same amount of points. If you wait for your opponent to buzz first, you maintain the exact same chances for victory, with none of the chance for the loss of points. Assuming, at least, that your opponent doesn’t know the answer.
Gavin should call his subs the 'Slowpokes'
Or the Slowbros.
Nah go for the SlowBlokes
I was willing to let them get by not knowing david copperfield...but when Gavin yells ISN’T DAVID COPPERFIELD FROM GREAR EXPECTATIONS I lost it
On today’s episode of “Jeremy somehow always buzzed in first and guesses”....
When you see somebody with the exact same name as you on CZcams... O.O
Guys... The book... Its David Copperfield..
Ned Turner led a failed revolution in an attempt to free the slaves. It would have worked, had the slaves not been scared into submission. He was shot and killed after he left the plantation he was forced to work on with something around ten other slaves. This was three years or so before the Civil war.
The other slave and actual answer had escaped and ran up north, but was caught by southerners living in the north for the sole purpose of catching runaways. He was measuring a woman’s waist to make her a corset when southerners busted in and took him to court, where he was decreed still a slave. He appealed with the money he had made from working as a tailor and a lot of money raised by the north but they still called him a slave.
It wouldn't have worked, he was a delusional idiot who massacred innocents, granted they were Southerners, deserved his fate after the revolt
Lucas Ng Considering the treatment of his people for centuries, as well as the militias' response of killing innocent blacks as well, neither side was innocent. As an oppressed man he did what he though needed to be done, just as the white militias and legislators did what they thought needed to be done.
Hot take: the slavers were the bad guys.
i mean seeing how Turner's revolt killed children and infants he is kind of a scum bag.
Louis M. Slave owners killed innocents, children, women and men. Even if he did kill innocents, he was revolting against someone worse
Slow mo guys fan base could be called Slowmies.
Aspen Hunter For some reason I was thinking SlowBros. But I like yours.
No that’s people where I live
No that’s people where I live
slow bros
They should be called "Fastn'ts"
10/10
21:45 "These two states are basically the same... they're right next to each other." -Trevor, on Wisconsin and Minnesota
I'm sorry, Trevor, but we're pretty different. At least, I hope so... Then again there is a lot of wheat and Culver's..
3:00 And all the Steven Universe fans go nuts.
Love the Bo Burnham and Spaceballs references!
17:50 that's a god damn Bo Burnham reference right there and I've never been happier. Love you Gavvy and Trevvy
That was a PERFECT singular frame for that pausing moment for the teasing of Fallout, (which was an awesome trailer)
Trevor, the Erie canal is in New York and is finished. I have no idea what you were referring to. Maybe the Wabash and Erie Canal? But that definitely isn't THE Erie Canal.
After watching all the Jeopardy videos, I'm convinced that Jeremy is somehow always playing with "buzz in first" cheats or something.
A cubit is the length of your forearm
IAmBeowulf701 not entirely accurate. it’s from the tip of your middle finger to your elbow. so, basically your forearm, including the length of your hand.
Fair play, I forgot that part
Like mine specifically, or Noah's or whose forearm...?
Did they think fallingwater meant Niagara Falls? Fallingwater actually refers to a famous house built by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It’s really gorgeous and pretty big as a tourist attraction. And Silver Dollar City is an old-timely theme park that kind of has a colonial prospector feel to it. It’s about the most hick thing you’ll ever see, but it’s pretty fun.
As a native Kansan, I know that Branson is a popular vacation spot for us that is not TOO far away. It's known as the city of music. As soon as i saw branson i knew it was Missouri
I honestly really like these trivia videos. I don't have to watch cable to watch the regular shows. I find AH version much better and I honestly love playing along
So, I'm from Buffalo NY and I now feel smart - almost. The Erie Canal replaced the Mohawk Trail, which had been used to transport goods up the Niagara River. Originally a portage trail for canoes. The trails intent was to allow goods coming in through the great lakes area towards inland towns and settlements to navigate around, and up Niagara Falls, where it ended. The goods could be loaded back onto boats that were waiting atop the cliffs around what is now Buffalo NY.
Cooooool Stoooooory Brooooo.
Its great when the adults are away and the children can play without supervision.
They made a great trio, loved this video!
Gavin, Jeremy and Trevor make a great trio. Would love to see them play more games together
Loved this group!
Shout out to Silver Dollar City, one of the coolest places there is. True hidden gem. Love it.
apparently an orange is a hybrid of a pomelo and mandarin.
Thank you! Pomelos are delicious btw.
Thank you comment section man
i love watching AH play Trivia. Always makes me feel smarter =)
Their office is creepy when no one’s there.
Gotta say I'm hyped for starwhals. Always makes a great video
The Erie canal was very much finished, in Buffalo NY, it goes through all of NY to meet the Atlantic Ocean with Lake Erie
Trevor actually turned on my Siri when he said "Hey Siri" and it actually looked up malachite
Jeremy's high pitch laugh pierces my ear holes in every single video.
22:05 Trevor you just made yourself the enemy of two whole states
Max Stafford yeah, but they’re not important ones.
"In 1814 we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in a town in New Orleans"...
Love that song
gavin and trevors bo burnham reference from the pringles question makes me want to go rewatch his stuff again
Just gonna drop some knowledge for those wondering. The Erie Canal was indeed finished, but was later filled in after the advent of the railway system.
Trevor saying that "Minnesota and Winsconsin are basically the same states" has now sparked a lot of hatred against him.
17:49 Wow, was that a Bo Burnham reference I detected Trevor?! Very nice.
Man the banter in this one was top notch hahah
love Gavin's scream in their ears method of ringing in
12:42 Ah yes, Gary Bettman. The true antagonist of every NHL team xD
A cubit is an ancient measurement that's around 45 cm/18 in. It varied slightly due to the main method of measuring it being the distance from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger.
A cubit is the length from an elbow to the fingertip. Thus, it was not a certain distance, as not all people have arms the same length. But it's generally around 18 inches.
a cubit, for those interested in learning, was a length of measurement from elbow to the tip of your middle finger.
an anemometer is used for measuring the speed of the wind, or of any current of gas.
As a Pennsylvania resident from the Poconos I'm glad someone got it right.
"OOOHHH!!! BILLY ZAMBONI!" broke me. God damn, Gavver.
A cubit is the distance between your elbow and wrist. So its the length of your forearm. It also means that it wasnt a standar length since everyone has different length forearms.
22:07: Them's fighting words; Minnesotans have a passive-aggressive blood feud with Wisconsin. I don't know what started it, but if you say you're from Wisconsin a lot of the time you'll get a Dead-Eye Smile and an "Oh, that's nice" which is Minnesotan for "Ew."
Trevor always has masterful delivery on his jokes
Fun fact, a Cubit is the length from middle finger-tip to point of the elbow. Obviously the exact length of this measurement varies from person to person.
A Cubit is the length from the tip of your middle finger to your elbow. It was widely used before standardized measurements.
*Clears Throat * The cubit is the measurement of the length of the current King’s elbow to middle finger tip.
"arrests" killed me. @11:45 alnoodle, you kill me
It is so frustrating watching you guys play trivia games sometimes lol
This is for Trevor:
The Erie Canal was completed but with the invention of cars and highways, the State of New York filled it in. There’s still some locks open but most of the canal has been filled in with dirt.
gavin knows so much that i'm always extra disappointed when he gets something wrong that i know
For those wondering, a cubit is ~45.72 cm. It was originally the length from the tips of the fingers to the elbow, when used commonly, but also could be found with the so-called "cubit rods", some of which have been found within the tomb of Maya, treasurer of the 18th dynasty pharaoh Tutankhamun.
Erie Canal is in upstate New York and links the Hudson river (and by extension the Atlantic ocean) to the great lakes.
It was indeed finished Trevor
Jeremy, once again the smartest guy in the room.
"Pig Iron Brass"
That's a pretty low bar. -__-
Trevor did pretty damn well the first round.
I love how many times Jeremey manages to just bumble his way into trivia victories.
A cubit was the length of your forearm from your elbow to the tip of your middle finger. It was then standardized to 18 inches and then forgotten.
jeremy saying bruin like it's some old gaelic word was amazing
A cubit is the distance between the tips of a person's fingers to their "outer" elbow.
The Branson question really hurt... I live in Branson, and when Jeremy answered Oklahoma I felt my soul leave my body..
Trevor is going to trigger people from Minnesota and Wisconsin...saying that the two states are the same thing!!! LOL
"The diameter of a pringle can...is way too small." Shout out to Bo man
As a Minnesotan, I felt JUST A LITTLE INSULTED that none of them knew which state the Mall of America was in.
And then Trevor said 'those two are pretty much the same.' The nerve! We do not worship cheese in my state!
i have never been so satisfied. thank you Jeremy for not showing us the out of focus ping pong ball
How have none of you heard of David Copperfield it’s one of the most famous books written
123 456 never heard of it until this video. I also don’t like to sit and read books
What the Dickens?
lmao I don't understand people who hate one reading
Lucas Ng Because it’s the most basic and menial task ever known.
I thought that was a comedian or something. Too bad they didn’t force us to read that back in high school.
Silver dollar city is an amusement park down in Missouri, it’s actually a pretty good one too
Trevor: "The Erie Canal goes through Indiana!" So, ummmm, which part of Indiana lies between Lake Erie and the Hudson River?
the 'bazooki' joke almost killed me
i choke-laughed for longer than reasonable
Meanwhile, everyone from the Erie area now has the Erie Canal song stuck in their heads for the next 10 days.
8:36 "Do I look like I'm full of Dickens?" is my new favourite achievement hunter line.
Trevor reminded me of Fred Rechid from Spongebob when he kept complaining about his knee XD How random lol
lmao u actually know his name? i didnt even know he had a name xd
I actually knew most of these. Refreshing
"The Erie Canal goes through Indiana and it is not finished" unless there's another Erie Canal in Indiana (which doesn't touch lake Erie) Trevor you're losing your damn mind. The Erie Canal is in New York state, was definitely finished, and opened in 1825. I grew up in a small town right on the canal, it was a disgusting waterway and I doubt they've cleaned it up all that much since then. Kind of a shame.
That last scene reminded me of the time Jeremy did AHWU all by himself
Jeremy is so damn fast with those fingers
That’s what she said
kyle cagle too bad he needs a step stool to reach
Suu Rose its funny cause hes short.
Being from minnesota, i will say that the most notable difference between us and wisconson is that you cant make u-turns in wisconson
One cubit was the measure of a person's elbow to the end of their little finger. It might be the wrist, I may have forgotten - It's been a couple thousand years since I've built a pyramid.
A cubit is generally accepted as 18 inches, or the length from one's elbow to fingertips
For those who don't know, a cubit is the measurement from the elbow to the tips of the fingers. Because it was different for everyone, it was a very inaccurate measurement.
4:30
WHAT?! Dammit Trevor, way to casually drop a nuke (hehe)
Never heard a bigger insult than Trevor saying Minnesota is the same as Wisconsin
Trevor saying bing bong randomly gives me life.
Just spent 4 and a half hours taking a test... time for more knowledge!
3:59-4:09 lol, well played Trevor.
