  • We got our hands on the world's first certified HDMI 2.1 cable (officially known as Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable as stipulated by HDMI Licensing Administrator) from Zeskit, and explain what the certification means in terms of 48Gbps, as well as various HDMI 2.1 features such as ALLM, eARC, VRR, 4K@120Hz & 8K@60Hz.
The Zeskit Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable (certified HDMI 2.1 48Gbps) can be purchased here*: geni.us/hdmi21cable
*Disclaimer: This is an Amazon affiliate link, from which we may earn a small commission with each qualifying purchase to help us purchase more gear to review. Our analysis and opinion are never influenced by potential commissions.
According to Zeskit, they have started shipping 2m and 5m cables with the "Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable" label to customers since last week. 3m and 1m cables will be shipped with the authenticity label in 3 to 5 weeks' time, after clearing old stock.
Zeskit's Ultra High Speed HDMI cables are currently only available to buy from the USA. The company is looking into distribution in other countries including the UK.

@HDTVTEST On the CX. There is a HDMI diagnostics menu. First open up the hidden menu by highlighting programme manager, then press 1 five times. Then it will show you host memory frame rate etc, but you can actually highlight hdmi mode*. Select it and this will open up a hdmi diagnostic menu. Pretty useful so i just thought id share. Especially if you have a c9( or are on older firmware for cx like me.)

This guys sense of humour is pure gold. I just spent 13 minutes watching a video on HDMI cables and didn't die of boredom.
I just ordered the 5M Maxonar (Certified) - This is to connect my 3090 to my LG BX 4k 120Hz OLED. Hoping it actually works at the cost for £28 for a cable. I guess I've spend this much on a GPU and TV, I may as well waste more on a cable.

Nice video. Thanks for the Denon cable test trick, I didn't knew it. But if we talk about hdmi cable qualities I am missing one important aspect, which is durability. Most people ignore it but many cheap cables (both audio and hdmi) work fine first months but they oxidize over the time and start causing glitches later. It would be great if you could mention how they aged in one of your future videos after one year or so.

What he's saying is lets see if there's a difference cuz not all hdmi cords that ARE NOT CERTIFIED work properly. Some that aren't certified actually wont give u full 48GBPS. This is a lil different than hdmi 2.0 cords where even the non-certified ones worked just fine. These are a lil more complicated for now.

I bought 4 of the 5m in-wall rated Zeskit cables about a week and a half ago for my 65" GX install. Unfortunately, due to the thickness, using all 4 of them resulted in the TV being unable to be flush-mounted the way it was designed. After some troubleshooting with the installers, they came back out and ended up running 1 of the Zeskit cables and 3 AudioQuest 48 cables (2 10ft Pearl, 1 10ft Forest for E-ARC). It would have been all Pearl due to price, but all of the stores around me only had a cable here and a cable there, couldn't find 3 Pearls in-stock locally.
Yes, I know they are snake oil cables. And the price hurts. But, the Pearls and Forest were the only thinner 48Gbps cables I could find that were in-wall rated as of November 2020. I know Rocketfish just came out with a line, but they look to be equally as thick as the Zeskit. I just hope the Audioquests are up to par. Currently using one on my PS5 and am not noticing anything off, but then again the bandwidth on the PS5 is limited as of now as we all know.

Good to know that Zeskit 5m cable works for 4K 120hz!
I've bought RTX 3080 for my LG C9 and spent hours to make it work for 4K 120hz and failed. Even active optical cable (which advertised as 48Gbps bandwidth and $80 price!) didn't work. I had to pull off the bundle cable for PS5 and put it for PC. It worked, of course.
So I'm looking for a 5m cable and you it looks like HDTVTest found one for me. 😂 Shame they don't sell in Korea. My cables are being shipped across the pacific.

I really love your channel and pretty much watch all your content for a long time. But now I have my first question. I am looking to buy HDMI 2.1 kabels for my Ps5 and Series X and would like to know if there is a certain length where latency starts or the signal will get a little bit less powerful. The kabels that came with the ps5 are only 1,5 Meter. I think I need around 3/5 Meters, I play a lot of competition shooters where you want the fastest and best signal going in my LG65GX. Does it matter the length of the kabel?

I ordered two Zeskit cables (3m): one for my LG CX 65 TV (which I connect to my receiver) and another one for my LG SN11RG sound bar (which I connect to my TV eARC (HDMI 2)) and both work perfectly. I'm still puzzled as to why the LG SN11RG only comes with an optical cable though!

I have a Belkin Hdmi-2.1-cable for over a year now! Looks nice, like a fat, black apple lightning-cable, of cause it was made for apple-tv with dolby vision. It’s package says: 48gb/sec, VRR, e-ark, 4K/120hz, resolution up to 10k.

@@phoossno1809 Is it actually? The certification badge on their Amazon listing is an obvious fake, though I do see a customer on AVSForum report that the physical packaging has a valid certification badge.
