Is that the asian tv guy?
@Sam W2 Yes, it is the asian tv guy that reviews tvs.
You are dressed like a 1970s hit man. Lol
Hahaha

I was thinking 80s or 90s 🙂
Lol definitely 80s.... before reading this comment, first thing I thought was Mr. Escalante. Stand and Deliver
I appreciate your videos and technical aspect. Very helpful in so many ways!
Thank you so much. Have heard about the distance limitation of copper but wanted to be sure. Great video
Thank you for your professional and informative content. Definitely earned a sub today.
I was waiting for this video
I got the Zeskit braided at a shorter length. Happy with it.
Still a helpful video in 2022! I figured HDMI 2.1 would be a big selling point & would be pricier BUT not difficult to find, let alone verify. Turns out brick & mortar stores I went to and the packaging I saw didn’t list HDMI versions, period. Very frustrating! Thanks for the tip about cheaper 2.0 cables passing more data like a 2.1 cable. Love your look too!
Most of my old hdmi cables work fine since I usually buy quality cables. As long as they arent dirt quality, it should work.
The one that comes with the console. Saved you a watch.
Lol. I remember someone like you saying .."No 4k tv, no hdr?..No problem. Switch to dynamic setting..Wolla..instant hdr!! And it WORKS!!
🤣👍🏾
Nope. The cable that comes with the PS5 is garbage. I switched to a Audioquest Cinnamon and the difference is very noticeable. Same with the Series X RDR2 on my 900tS looks like 8K seriously, with still the very low input lag it is ridiculous
@@micatwenzel how? The cable only has one job which is to connect a source to a screen. Either it works or it doesn’t. What technology inside are you assuming makes it control the display quality?
@@cluelessblamer518 Jesus you are ignorant and have no clue about anything. Guaranteed you buy everything at Walmart
Nice video 👍🏾
I just wish Sony made that damn hdmi 2.1 bit longer. My configuration only allows the PS5 to be on the right side of my X900H, thus almost fully stretching out the cable.
could've been worse
Has sony released the firmware update for hdmi 2.1 on the X900H yet??
Hey Fomo, thanks for the great content and advice. Have you happened to test anything over 40 feet since making this video? I have an RTX 30 series card but need a run about 65 feet and I've now tried a few cables with no luck. Almost got a picture once at 4k 120hz HDR 444 but it cut out after a second or so and I could never get it to come back. Other cables advertised as capable at this distance just didn't even get that one second of connection. All worked ok at 4k 60hz HDR 444. TV I am using is the Sony A90J (thanks for all the content on that, I was going LG G1 but got too excited about the XR processor and specular brightness on the Sony). With VRR causing gamma shift on LG not sure I care to use that feature anyway.
Brands tried:
Deconn
RUIPRO
Clearline (this one got a picture for a second)
Also do you have any experience using HDMI signal repeaters with power input? I'm afraid these may cause damage and am hesitant to use them.
Hello. I am considering on purchasing the Ruipro hdmi fiber optic cable at 33ft. For my clarification, you were using the Ruipro cable at 65 ft and it did not work, correct?
great video.....whats your thoughts on the cables by AUSTERE ? they were thrown in with my deal with my tv / 4k player / Sonos Arc ....got the series 7 cables....3 of them at 5 ft each
Monoprice dynamic view 8k that's what I have in my ps5 and x900h till now it's flawless .picture quality and sound amazing .
Guess what, its a digital cable, it works or it does not, if you see better picture its placebo
@@sneikiusas in comparison to a 2.0 hdmi cable it's a big difference.i play 4k 120p and it does an amazing job and trust me I have tested dozens of them cause I am a pc technician.not all of them pass their established gigabits.but in general yes I agree and about picture the difference can be seen with calibration tools if there is any.

Stouchi 8k HDMI 2.1 on Amazon at least works at 40Gbps, tested using Series X and LG CX. Both are only 40Gbps.
10m & 15m phoossno 8K HDMI certified Active Optical cable , pretty good on 4K@120hz at PS5 & Xbox
Does any of these cables make my console run any better or look better
i have the zeskit, its quality, 100% recommend it
Link?
Just grabbed 2 of the zekskit maya ones as well . I have both the series x and ps5 and these cables are def quality and do the trick , and the 6.5 ft length is perfect .
Why
Does it run 120hz? Cus I need that for my series x
@@MrBlizzard769 where did you buy it from?
Do you have any 4k60 cables you recommend?
I have the zeskit 8k 2.1 certified cables ;)
The first 2 had to be returned due to defects. But, my replacements are longer and work great :)
Can HDMI 2.0 on Sony X900E (2017) be able to output 4K@60 4:4:4 10 bit or 8bit from Xbox Series X? Or will It be limited to 8 bit color 4:2:2? I can’t find this information on line. Thanks
Obrigado Pelo seu canal, ele e Muito bom!!!
I used my old monster hdmi THX1000 is like 10years old cable, on my CX and PS5 i still get 4K120 -4K60w/HDR. the shorter 4ft and good quality u should be good.
When do the new 2021 TVs normally launch?...Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4?
I have a ? I have been watching Stop the FOMO videos for quite a while now, I don't know if its just me but what is FOMO? Great channel by the way thanks for the great info.
Hey fomo, on the ps5 you have to go to app settings under settings to switch the ps5 between FPS or better graphics. If you leave it on default they will make a choice for you which is the graphics over FPS
Wrong. You change it on the game and have automatic on the settings in ps5;)
@@tittentei7331 don’t need to do both once set on he console games will automatically switch to that preference

I'm curious about the existence of a optic fiber cable (2.1 guaranteed) that is easy to run through walls. Are there any that can detach the fiber cable from the connectors?
Put all devices in the same room.Distance destroy quality.

Should have tried harder smh got my ps5 month ago on Walmart app
Would the C9 OLED TV work the same as the C10?
I don't see a link here for the Zeskit cables. Did you remove that one?
I bought a HDMI 2.1 optical cable out of curiosity to see if an optical cable makes any difference in picture quality on a HDMI 2.0 tv using a Panasonic UB391 4K blu ray player.
I saw a CZcams video comparing a standard HDMI cable to an hdmi optical cable showing the picture Tobe sharper.
I didn't spend €200 on the cable it cost €55 for the 15 foot cable but it did make the picture sharper but not sharp enough to justify the €55 I paid for the cable.
I don't like the idea of signal having to be converted to optical and then back into electrical. Not sure if electrical the right word to use.
@StopTheFomo Do Samsung TVs have a similar overlay? Or do we need to use the menu to see the input?
I have a Visio m series and I don’t understand because I can enable 2.1 in the TVs settings but I have no clue it the cable that came with the ps5 is hdmi 2.1 or is the ps5 just allowed too because it says “If the device supports HDMI 2.1 the 2.1 mode is enabled
Are these better or just as good as the cable that comes with the ps5

Hi. I am looking for something like an HDMI 2 1 signal splitter. In TV I have one HDMI 2.1 and two PS5 and Xbox X Series consoles. PlayStation 5 in 4K and 120 MHz which I would like to connect to a TV that has only one HDMI 2.1. Is there such a thing in the world and you can buy it? Can I buy HDMI 2.1 SPLITTER. Thank you for your answers.

just got a lg cx tv and a xbox series x , im perfectly fine with the hdmi included as far as length, will i get a better picture using a higher grade cable ?

Hi if ps5 HDMI port are 2.1... And PC monitor HDMI 2.2.. What type of cable should I buy to connect them.. HDMI 2.1 or HDMI 2.2 ?
I’ve had mine for a couple weeks now I need a 4K tv 📺

Well I actually have no budget, I would like to know which HDMI cable rn is the best to connect my PS5 to my 8K tv?
What about the cable that comes with the ps5 is bad or just as good?
Dear Stop the Fomo,
I like to watch your videos on youtube. But I have a question and I hope you can help me with it. I have a 2020 sony tv with hdmi 2.1 . And a playstation 5 where I play games at 4k /120hz. I would like to buy a philips hue sync box for the phillips hue lighting. But it doesn't support 4k/120hz because of the hdmi 2.0 port. If I have an HDMI 2.1 port installed by a specialized company. Would the phillips sync box support 4k/120hz? Hopefully you can answer my question.
But what if I need 25 feet? Which cable should I get?
Now you telling me!! I ordered 3 times and then I gave up used my PS5 with a 2.0 4K 120hz but 420 8b till I actually ordered the Zinc and finally got 420 12 b I know it’s not much of a defense but at least Ik I’m getting all I can get from the PS5 to the CX
Isn't LG having problems with VRR?
Can you recommend a HDMI cable that can run 4K 120 Hz on PS five I don’t need it to be long eater it can be like 4 feet
Thanks Donnie Brasco!
Can you recommend any angled 2.1 HDMI cables? My TV is flat against the wall with very little space so a straight HDMI cable wouldn't fit
For now you can try right angle adapters amzn.to/3nxklMz but may be an issue for HDMI 2.1 (try it and see) however, you can also call Blue Jeans cable who will definitely let you know if their right angle adapter can pass 48Gbps www.bluejeanscable.com/store/hdmi-cables/hdmi-cable.htm
Does all this info still apply today? And what brand should I go with and not get ripped off by all these scam companies?
Zeskit makes the best 2.1 HDMI cables and were the first on the market.
This trigger my asmr dude
I bought a fusion 8k brand in Amazon somebody tried this one?
I bought an LG C2 OLED to pair with my rtx 3060ti. I was getting weird lines across the screen. Thought the tv was busted. But. It was the cable. I need to buy a cable good for 8k 60 or 4K 120. I called LG and they told me you need a 48gbps for their tv if I want to run 4K 120 hdr
What do y’all think about Belkin 2.1 hdmi, is it legit???
AudioQuest Thunderbird!
I have 4X RuiPro 8K HDMI2.1 Fiber optic HDMI2.1 CABLES. RuiPro sent them to me for Free so I could do a review on them for my CZcams Channel. And they are absolutely amazing. I have 3X 10 feet Green and 1X Black CL2 Rated in wall. I have 2X Monoprice 8K HDMI2.1 Fiber Optic and they both have bent barley behind my AV Rack and they Glass inside busted and I returned them and Monoprice sent me 2 more to replace them Monoprice Fiber Optic HDMI2.1 Cables break easily where as the RuiPro 8K hdmi fiber optic cable has a lot more Bend Tolerance. And the Picture Quality looks better on the RuiPro anyways.
Just a question when i put my tv in 120fps mode for ps5 i loose audio from my reciver thats connected to via earc the tv i have is sony 900h
Restart the tv bro in settings it does that time to time, hitting the power botton on and off will not fix . Has to be manual restart through settings. After that I reset the HDMI 4 on 120 again .
Im still searching for a certified fibre optic 15m (50ft) HDMI 2.1 cable that supports the full 48gbps bandwidth for 4k 120hz 12 bit HDR with my 3090 graphics card with my LG OLED C9.
Found one if anybody is still searching.

I’m pissed I have to do research on cables because my Sony 4K tv has the inputs on the left side vs my old Samsung 1080p with the input on the right. My XSX came with a short cable that won’t reach as it’s on the right side of my tv in a stand. I just wanted to use the cable I came with lol

Fomo im confused...are we getting MINI led from samsung? All ive heard after all this hype is MICRO led coming in 2021.
Can i use this on a ps4 slim?
Can hdmi 2.0 tv support hdmi 2.1 cable🙄
Got a new LG C1 OLED tv, seeing that my "native resolution" for 4k HD was only 60hz sent me through some sad unhelpful research. i thought it might have been something about a HDMI cable. however for some reason the PC resolutions under NVIDIA control panel worked in 4k 120hz, but had some blurring at least on text. so I'm not sure where the issue lies within all this nonsense.
Are you plugged into the correct hdmi 2.1 port? And does the game you are actually playing support 4K 120?
I went to Beat Buy and I couldn't find one HDMI cable that was labeled with 2.1. Not one. The cables I ended up buying were advertised for 8K, 120 Hz.
yeah, the whole "HDMI 2.1" label has been diluted to pointlessness now - this video was done during the early days of its release years ago
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
How about the lg c9
i tried using 2 zeskit cables with their gold plated coupler to extend my gaming pc 25ft to my q90t and it DOES NOT work.. intermittent artifacts, blacking out etc.. you will need an optical cable for long lengths!!! wish i saw this video sooner lmao
you probably know this by now, but hdmi 2.1 48gbps doesn't work past 10ft unless you get an ACTIVE cable, they are 15-30ft long and cost $60-$90 respectively. trying to daisy chain multiple 10 footers together is not going to work.
Not sure what's going on with my set up. I have a phillips 43" pus7506 4k UHD HDR TV with VRR. I plug my PS5 in and all seems OK except every 5-6 minutes the TV blinks and gives a "HDR SIGNAL" Notification at bottom right of screen. I have tried everything I can think of to solve it. Even brought a different cable from amazon and its still happening. Any ideas anyone please??...
Is it still happening?
@@trenchworth4760 Yes unfortunately. Its infuriating.
I’m disappointed you didn’t show the testing of the cables while they were being tested. Also that you didn’t show and test any HDMI 1.4 10.2Gbps cables.
This may be a silly question but what is wrong with the one that comes in the ps5 box with the console?!
It is the best one to use unless you need one that is longer because of your home entertainment setup.
Is it 2.1?
I just switch to 48 Gbps HDMI cable for my PS5 to my Samsung Q60 and OMG! I had no idea it would make that much of a difference but it does. Forget the cable Sony provides, for me I got a weird ghosting effect. After switching my cable that is gone and the overall picture quality has got to be 25% better. Sony should not even include that cable, or at least put a disclaimer on the included cable saying, this is just to get by with, go get a better one. 😀
Where did u get the cable?
Probably he just had a damage cable, the cable sony provides is as good as 100/200 etc Dollar cables, this is still a thing in 2022 :s
Your video quality is not any better. You might have gotten rid of the ghosting effect but thats it.

@@MarginalCoyote are you so dumb to believe that the OP never had a broken cable beforehand? How I know? Because 48GBPS isn't on any console! 40GBPS on SX and 40GBPS on V but bugged at 32GBPS for some apparent reason! No TV also displays 12bit colour! Do I need to point out the flaw? I would rather get a known commodity in cables than the generic one. The difference is over time, cheaper cables tend to loosen up. Not only where it is attached but the wires themselves can "untighten,. I always find a 6 ft. Cable around 20 bucks. Don't need the mad expensive ones. Get whatever you need and go for quality.
