I love how in this game, we get some new bosses, but the World 5 boss is a returning foe. Ironically enough, despite this being the only NSMB game without koopa kids, this is a remix of the koopaling theme from Mario 3.

I don't know, but even with most orchestral soundtracks, this is still my favorite boss theme version. It's feels like your world is spinning - and in-game you feel the heat of battle.
This game is so nostalgic to me. I remember getting it at a GameStop in New Orleans while on vacation in 2012 and playing bob omb squad the whole rest of the way to Florida.
Probabbly the only New Super Mario Bros Game that didn't have Generic Bosses (I do like the Koopalings, but Nintendo needs to show that they are more than just bosses)

I was 1 year old when I first played this game and when I got to world 8 I had a mega mushroom that I never used it until the final boss and at the final boss fight I used the mega mushroom to beat the Bowser and Bowser .Jr with one hit and It was so funny.
I was just wondering why Bowser Jr.'s facial features I thought he took the giant mushroom and then took an elevator and jumped off for a dramatic entrance
There's a reason why NSMB DS is my favorite. The bosses. They were creative, the coolest imo being Monty Mole Tank, Lakithunder, Mummipokey, and Cheep-Skipper. These bosses were some Paper Mario 64 type of cool, they were some awesome and badass bosses that were like no other. All the other games had were clones of bowser and the koopalings, with the exception of Mario Bros 2 and the Mario Land games. The NSMB DS bosses need more representation.

@@Mac14329 I didn't feel the need to because everyone knows that they are creative, and the fact that a good chunk of the bosses from the 3D games have had future representation, like Petey Piranha, King Bob-Omb, and Gooper Blooper to name a few. The bosses that originated from NSMB DS have had no other types of representation, with the exception of Dry Bowser which is basically a copy of Bowser. I'd say a good way to represent NSMB DS bosses would be with a Super Mario Maker 2 update, but the updates for that game are sadly done.

Speaking of New super Mario bros 2, I found the experience of it kind of depressing, New Super Mario Bros DS had original boss fights, secrets that were fairly difficult to obtain, and mini games. New Super Mario Bros 2 did what? None of it. That's your answer. It was reduced to Six main worlds, wasn't even remotely challenging for me, and replaced all the goodie good extras with coins. Just pathetic is summing it all up. It's fine if you like the game, I just don't like it.
