Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

He is not just saving MJ. He is saving another version of himself from all the pain he is still suffering from, after failing to save Gwen. He will probably never recover from that tragedy. But he will at least somehow find happiness knowing that in another world, there is another version of himself that never lost the woman he loves. This is one of the most beautiful moments in a superhero movie.
BINGO!!!!
All in all inevitably Peter Parker sad times still kicks in and she doesn't know who he is, bittersweet
You can see all the ways he's thought about this dive. He shoots webs so he moves faster, he knocks stuff out of the way, he catches and cradles her body so the force dissapates. He's probably thought about this scenario so many times
That’s an awesome analysis
Good Catch, trauma like that probably had him thinking it every morning
yep. when you compare between tom and andrew diving to catch mj, andrew is really quick, shows andrew is truly Amazing Spiderman.
00:54, never noticed it before but before he dives he shoots two webs to help propel himself downwards quicker, amazing touch to show all the times he thought about how he could've gotten to Gwen quicker
Great catch!
He finally made up for having failed to save Gwen all those years ago. He got to repeat the exact same scenario and got it right this time. So heartwarming❤
Scenario was a little bit different as Gwen’s was in a tight clock tower with structures creating hella obstacles that Peter couldn’t get through so he wasn’t able to free fall long enough to save Gwen. Shit sucked
You watched the movie too?@@kanye9064
I saw in an interview Andrew Garfield said Zendaya improvised asking him if he was okay. He said it just felt right, that was important for him to assure all of us he was.
Bro the camera cuts to her to ask it lmao I’m tired of all these “improv” moments that clearly were in the script
Gwen would be proud.
She’d be alive at least.
Yes.
I can't help thinking she's looking down with a smile saying "thats my hero"
She would be jealous
@@koammudo43Thats what She said!!!
The heartbreak on his face is palpable. He knows now that he is capable of saving someone from a fall, and if he’d only done what he just did, Gwen would still be alive. 😭
I think it's more of him letting go of his pain, because he knows he managed to save his younger variant's girlfriend, and that he won't have to go through what he went through.
@@lorenzovalenti4014 very true. He’s feeling a roller coaster of emotions. It’s Mr. Garfield’s finest moment of acting in the film.
Exactly! His face is heartbreaking it cuts like a knife it literally says “I wish it had been you Gwen, but at least I was able to save someone else in your place and make sure that they didn’t meet your same fate
the fact that TASM teared up when he caught mj, it reminded him on how much it hurt losing a loved one and how he wants to protect his fellow spider men, good one!
No shit sherlock
Peter wouldn't be that hurt if MJ died.
I have a feeling kingspin and spot maybe behind this as well because this is connected along with the whole different universes. 🤔
It’s more than that MJ reminds him of Gwen, just seeing her fall reminded him of that day and he was to make sure that that same day didn’t happen all over again by saving MJ he redeemed himself to him he might not have been able to save Gwen the woman he loved but he was able to save someone else’s woman that they loved and this time the same tragedy wouldn’t happen twice because he was determined to make sure MJ didn’t die in the same way Gwen did
This whole movie is a fantastic fan service. Love it.
damn right. It's full of fan service but it's fan service done right. I loved it
Absolutely!
Andrew Garfield is the best actor of This movie and he deserve to play Spiderman again with a decent director, production, script.
Amen!!
I feel bad for Andrew because in this movie he proved he can be an amazing Spiderman. Although his franchise didn’t do so great.
I thought his franchise was good, better than Sam franchise one. I even thought his first film on how he became Spider-Man was good too and I thought his story on how he became Spider-Man was better than Tobey one.
Honestly man I thought he was amazing from the start. He absolutely nailed Peter as a character and his spider-man was a perfect mix of strength, humor and character.
Wish he got another chance
"Im ok" Those are the words he wanted to hear for so long.
Its scary really. His PTSD must have been real enough to where he must of ran through how he could of saved gwen more than a million times from going through his day to when he's sitting down on his bed at night. Than here he saves MJ, in that singular moment he sticks that landing must of helped him let go of all that despair and sorrow he carried. Than MJ asking him if he's okay after saving him, even though deep down he knows he isn't still reveals how much conviction and regret he brings to his heart. Its awesome that Andrew Garfield got to do this scene. Good stuff :)
Got tears in my eyes every time I see his face in the moment he saved her…
Same. It’s strange, but you do tear up when you relive an experience that held significant emotion for you. It happened to me when I re-experienced a bullying event (friend pulled my chair out from under me, I still teared up while lying on the ground even though she didn’t mean to hurt me)
“Can the Spider-Man come out to play?” Same line he used when he terrorized Aunt May
He replayed that scenario MANY times in his head... He lived with the regret of making such a tiny mistake with such grave consequences... He basically lived for the moment to "make it right" and he didn't blow it...
Yes it's just a movie, but moments like this, where you feel and understand the emotion being conveyed, are priceless, and I'm glad I got to experience it
It was supposed to be a canon event. But Andrew didn't let it slide😭
It’s those little moments, moments where the super becomes normal and being human is the superpower. Love you Spider-Man
I never really liked Garfield as Spiderman or those movies but with this movie he actually won me over. Now I look at The Amazing Spiderman movies in an entirely different light.
Same
Cried like a baby first time seeing this in the cinema, to see him finally get his redemption was just something else😢
The scene where he dives to save her! Is a scene that still gives me chills when i watch it. AMAZING
I think this was the best moment of the entire movie for the ones who have watched Gwen's death.
This movie was the best fan service in all of fan service.
I’ve never cried more in a movie than this one
I remember when I saw this scene for the first time in theatres it bought me to tears. The raw emotion in this scene is amazing especially after how amazingly well the scene where Gwen died was. This film was a true tribute to the fans and I'm so happy I was a live to witness it.
Andrews Spider-Man said losing Gwen made him bitter and he stopped pulling his punches hopefully the villains of his universe can rest easy knowing he’s somewhat healed
I love the physics behind this scene. Peter speeding up so he could get to MJ faster, him flipping her and MJ around so they land feet first, and than of course the landing itself where he bends his knees so the force isn’t bending MJ. Andrew’s Spider-Man could just land and take the force, MJ, cannot. Also, I just realized Tom’s Spider-Man was about to make the same mistake Andrew’s Spider-Man did when he tried to save Gwen.
Andrew Garfield was an amazing Spider-Man that deserves better from his solo movies cause of how awesome he was in No Way Home especially this scene ❤.
Andrew just disrupted a canon event
well i mean.. he still lost MJ in the end. She didn't die, but her memory of him did.
Garfield killed it in these moments. Even though there’s weakness’s to the TASM movies, Garfield’s performance as PP and Spidey are my favorite take so far in the movies. Really can’t stand Tom Holland’s interpretation.
Why can’t you stand T.H interpretation? Wouldn’t it be kinda boring if each Spider-Man was the same?
I feel Tobey's are the most classic of the Spider-Man movies, but truth be told, even though TASM movies are way out there, I really like Andrew Garfield's portrayal. It was great he got this moment in no way home.
Bro just disrupted a canon event for MCU Peter. Miguel is gonna be pissed 😂
Andrew may have technically acted as Tom’s rebound after getting intercepted by Goblin but like, Andrew HAD to be the one to save MJ
No he didn’t
@@agonzali723for Gwen he had to
This was the time he corrected himself
The look of fear on Peter 2's face when GG comes in.
I liked Toby's spider man series more than Andrew's ASM. But losing Emma Stone hurt like hell. I wouldn't mind losing Kristen Dunst instead of Emma. Specially after spider man 3's nonsensical emotional crap
The amazing spider man 2 is the worst tho
Tobey was alright but I found Andrew Spider-Man movies better than Tobey one but we all have opinions right. To be fair no matter what story you like or actor you like, after this film all 3 of them where amazing as Spider Man.
MJ and TASM Peter has chemistry. If it weren't for MCU Peter I'd definitely ship these two.
I think Andrew's Peter is wayyyy older than MJ though...
@@spooder-minusMJ is like 17/18 while Peter is more like 30 hahaha
@@Killerjonkey i think mj is 16/17 but yaaa
This scene Was amazing
This made me want to cry
His eyes said it all... I'm okay... But I wish she was okay too, glad I could save you but I can't save her....
You can tell that he is still very traumatized
Andrew Garfield saves MJ.....thinks back to not being able to save Gwen....
Best part. Good job brother. You did it.
What's crazy about this scene is there is so much emotion that happens in mere seconds. Garfield Peter's almost lightning reaction when MJ gets flung off the scaffold. Holland Peter almost helpless as he is prevented from saving her. Garfield Peter looking at MJ after saving her saying to her what he could only wish he could say to Gwen. MJ innocently looking back at him puzzled at Garfield Peter's emotional face seemingly unaware of just how much of a burden was lifted off his soul in that moment.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah." *pause* "Just a bad memory coming to visit."
Gwen Stacy...😥
Sequel 2014 deja vu
Andrew bro.. 😭 I love all the spider-Mens 😂
hold on let me turn captions off.
box office movie scenes- *you have No Power here*
Redemption!
Who would have thought " Are you okay? " would make us cry :(
Ide like to think she ask if hes okay not only cause his face but he told them he couldnt save his mj so maybe she realize that's how it happened
What a powerful scene!!!
As Yoda once said : "the greatest teacher, failure is"!!!! learn from past mistakes guyz
It may have been a canon event for Tom, but not for Andrew.
Oh this moment made me cry in the theatre 😭
I just gotta watch this movie again omg what a film 🎥
I love that Doc Ock is working with them! Or at least he seems to be, I don't know, ai haven't seen the movie yet.
The best part is wen he webs at the end to break the impact of the fall. You can tell after Gwen he PRACTICED that shit so it would never happen again
He broke the canon!
amazing spider-man iii
Apart of me feels like this was a across the spider verse moment where Andrew accidentally broke the cannon, but idk if thats right I think it’d just be cool
Best scene in the movie
Peter: "Are you okay?"
MJ: "Yeah... are *you* okay?"
Peter: *nods*
Me: "I'm not!!" 😭
Was it predictable? Yes
Was it still perfect? Also yes
He broke toms canon event
not really. his aunt and uncle is gone. MJ hardly/never dies in spiderman
also know it could be a joke
Thought i was watching the wrong movie for a second forgot doctor strange was in this lol
I feel like it was rushed but it was still good, fuck it...
But : thank you mister cape sir is realistic af too
2:13 Man Tom is beating the ever living crap out of Goblin’s saucer
Best.
Did it right this time
See that's exactly how Amazing Spider-Man should've done it before when he tried to save Gwen, grabbed her and then web lined down to the ground together😞
I still have PSTD after Gwen dying in the commics so long ago. This helps :)
Andrew Garfield & Sasha Calle
Spiderman Saves Supergirl Kara zor-el
who did tobey pull at 1:39???
But then Spider-Man 2099 comes
why does no one talk about this scene! 0:20
Its the money shot!
Should have made it closer . Build mor suspense
which spider man movie is this
Along with this movie and spiderverse, i believe Miguel is not seeing the whole picture when he says canon event. His theory is somewhat true, but he's lacking oversight somewhere in his theory; i feel he's overlooking something that may actually be whats going on which each spiderman's universe. Not everything is black and white. Lets not forget kingspin & spot on their big mistakes with that collider.
I have a theory about that. Ya know how in Spiderman India's verse when the cannon event was stopped and the world started to fall apart? If Miles was a mistake, the spider-bite is the biggest cannon event, the one that starts it all and without it, no other event is even possible. The world crumbles when an event doesn't happen correctly, so, what if Spider 42 was always meant to never stay in Universe 42? If Miguel's theory is correct, then it's obvious that Miles is not an anomaly, just a unique version of a cannon event, if he is wrong, then there is another cause of the universes collapsing. (And if you are a comic fan you know Miguel is at least partially correct.)
J jhona was right they did destroy the statue of liberty 😂.
Evwrybody says they dont acknowledge the celestial but they dont acknowledge this either 🤷
1:14
We need Emma Some to be Spider Gwen now.
0:53
0:52. 2:12. 3:08
It’s so sad when you think about it because he couldn’t save Gwen the woman he loved but he could make sure that the same thing didn’t happen twice and could save MJ from the same fate
Even MJ’s “are you ok?” After he looked terrified and stricken after saving her dug through him as she could tell he was troubled Andrews Peter didn’t want to make the same mistake twice he lost Gwen but he WOULD NOT let Toms Peter lose the women that he loved he couldn’t save Gwen but he could save MJ and prevent the same tragedy from happening his “yeah” reply was short but sad as if to say “I wish I could’ve saved you Gwen but I I won’t let that same thing happen again and I saved MJ in your place” he didn’t want the same thing to happen twice and he would make sure that Tom’s Peter’s girl didn’t die the same way that his girl died and could be saved
By saving MJ he redeemed himself and made up for not being able to save Gwen in his eyes he had prevented a terrible fate and had had a second chance to save someone else if not his Gwen but someone else’s Gwen or in this case MJ
1:10
The cgi still gives me dissatisfaction
Good job you didn't fuck this one up
Wouldn't have minded MJ going.
This isn't Mary Jane and frankly shame on you for wanting a teenage girl to die
Jump to save her instead of web and yank her up quick-fast. Drama for the Drama God! Cop-out for the Cop-out Throne!
Maybe he remembered how shooting a web to save Gwen ended up so he didn't want to let it happen again.
Last time he tried that he literally broke her neck.
@@sithlordzach8418 That was in the comics. In the film version, the web caught Gwen the second she cracked her head on the ground
After that he learn his lesson after that. I knew it was the mistake of trying to save Gwen by webbing her. This time he just dive down and catch her and then himself and her to safety.
LOL literally what he did that fucked up the first time.
And yet he messed up with Jane
Gwen
Which is why he didn't this time.
Your parents messed up their commitment to birth control.
He's probably played the scenario where he failed to save Gwen over and over in his head thousands of times since it happened. What he could have done differently to save her, how much counter-force you can apply to a person that's falling at an accelerating rate, what other options he had to save her than the one he used. In his mind, he would have gone over it thousands of times and practiced his webshooting and jumping skills just to make sure it would never happen again.
It's the one moment in his life that tortures him the most. He never wants to experience that again, so he makes sure that he does everything he possibly can to avoid it. When his chance came to save a falling MJ, he knew exactly what he had to do.
@@Xylarxcode very nice synopsis and He healed his old Trauma with it even tho He cant bring gwen back. Yet He got redeemed at last
noticed that instead of pulling mj with his web, he webbed onto something and instead use his body to protect her , vice versa with Gwen he sure do learn from a mistake 😅
"are you ok?" the pain in his voice though 🥲
