- My Eye Lift Plastic Surgery - Before & after blepharoplasty
I had cosmetic surgery to reduce the appearance of my heavily hooded upper eyelids and decided to share my experience. In technical terms I had an upper eye lift otherwise known as a blepharoplasty in Auckland, New Zealand.
This video was shot eight weeks after my eye lift surgery. I am now over 50 and still love the results of my surgery.
Thanks for watching.

I'm 22 and my eyelids are already hanging lower than yours ever were, my brows are also lower. I can't wait until I can afford surgery.
You can use Advance Care Card , 6 or 15 months interest free credit cards. There are more options, doctor's office will tell you. Justs don't get addicted :)
To be honest: First I thought "Why?". But it does look fresher and absolutely natural!
Thank you :)
I noticed some changes right away when I turned 32. I wasn't freaking out. I was just hurt and felt broken by the change. I actually cried for a while. I tried everything. I changed my diet. I only drink water. I don't drink smoke or do drugs. I work out. I sleep 6 to 8 hours a day. I take my vitamins. I tried everything but nothing seems to work. I have no one to talk to about this. I keep it hidden away from the world. If I tell my friends about this they will think it's silly and probably laugh. I feel like surgery is the only option, but I can't afford it. I really hate looking at the mirror now cause whenever I smile I see it... I see it always.
Thank you Leone for that.I have the same prolem plus eye bags.At 55 I think its time to visit a plastic surgeon.
It's the best decision I've ever made to be honest :)
Thank you for sharing xxx
My pleasure :)
thank you some much both of you i am having an surgery after 2 weeks and im scared as hell but after seeing this i got some courage to conform it but it looks painfull im pretty scared just by seeing a needle x) i cant help it thanks a million :)
Mr Juggar! You probably won't see this after all this time, but if you do, how did it go?
Thank you so much for this video! I am saving up courage for this procedure. I'm only 30 years old but I am genetically predisposed for this "condition". My eyes were so pretty up until about three years ago when the make up started to disappear and I always look tired in photos. I so miss my big eyes! Just so scared to look startled and not being able to close my eyes or havin my eyebrows being dragged down. Your results are beautiful! Don't wanna get botched....
Hi Mia - I was exactly like you - I was super scared of looking strange and looking like I'd obviously had plastic surgery. I really think the key is finding a very good, well respected surgeon. Good luck :)
+The Style Insider I have the exact same problem. I had gorgeous big eyes now I have droopy lids which conceal my eye shadow. My biggest problem is one droop is uneven from the other. I'm also 30 :(
+stacyl118 I totally understand how you feel...I've had eyelid asymmetry for as long as I can remember, and it's getting worse. Wish I could afford surgery! :(
Gorgeous!
JM JT thank you 😊
Your eyes look great!!! I have undereye hollows. Have you had injectables if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks so much and no I haven't had under eye filler but I'm sure I'll be needing that at some point. :)
Id love to get this done as I am in the entertainment industry
I can totally recommend this :)
what's that canker on the surgeon's lip?!
Hi I have eyelids so where your hospital
It looks very natural. However, I would be also worried about not being able to close my eyes completely while sleeping, and dryness in my eyes. I am aware this happens after surgery, but resolve, although, sometimes it doesn't. Did you experience this, and how long did it take to resolve?
No I didn't experience this at all and I'd imagine you'd only really get this if too much skin was removed and the whole thing was overdone. I think the really important thing is going to someone who has a great reputation and very experienced in this kind of surgery. Good luck!
i also had this done on march 31 2014 my scars are bad too
Hi Debbie sorry to hear that but it's still very early days for your surgery so I'm sure they will continue to get better. My surgeon said the healing process can take up to two years so try not to worry too much and give you body time to heal. x
Debbie, how are your scars now? Are you happy you got it done?
"He talked me through the procedure, how long it involved, how long it would take, how much down time..." Any chance of explaining this in full? My girlfriend is thinking about having this operation and wants to know the details, if possible, like how long the stitches are in and who takes them out, etc. Thanks.
Red Rum Hi and thanks for your comment. I wrote about the procedure in more detail on my blog. If you'd like to take a read you can check it out here www.thestyleinsider.co.nz/eyelift-surgery-one-year/ But please feel free to ask any questions :)
Leonie Barlow Thanks. I will now go and absorb it.
I am suffering from blepharospasm...what I.do
Where is treatment
Vijay Vyas Botox will fix that. It needs to be redone when it wears off, but it worked for my friend for 5 years now
Hi Leonie,
Could you please tell me how's your scar now? I got eyelid surgery nearly 2 months ago and now one of my eyelid got scar got worse, it's not even, not smooth. I think I can call it "keloid". The other eyelid is good and smooth. I'm really worried. Any way can I contact you?
Hi Linh
One of my scars is actually a little worse than the other but it's still not very noticeable at all. I'm sure this is just down to how each person actually heals. There are laser treatments you can have to reduce the raised appearance of the scarring which may be worth looking into. Have you talked with your surgeon about your scars? I'd definitely have a discussion with my surgeon first and foremost. Good luck. Leonie

How much for the surgery? And where is tge dr. Located
My surgeon is located in Auckland New Zealand :)
@@Thestyleinsider. And how much?
WOW!! great results, I wish I could afford this, my 60+++++ eyes are SOOOO HOODED! any advice anyone, I don't believe Medicare and my state coverage will help , as its cosmetic, 😪😔
Thank you and it may be worth checking with your doctor because this op can be covered if your hooded eyelids are affecting your vision. Might be worth exploring that avenue?
@@Thestyleinsider. ABSOLUTELY, I think I've heard that before, regarding if it's affecting my eye sight, thank you, BLESSINGS!!
How is recovery?? I only have a week of from work 😩
melissa pintone that would be fine. They will still have a lot of healing to do but I was wearing makeup and happily out in public after a week. Good luck.
The Style Insider did you look ok ?
Who is this surgeon?
Hi name is Greg Taylor :)
